two plates of food

This is an inviting and casual place to eat. Very kid friendly. Meals are affordable. I liked everything I tried. It was on the heavy side. I would of liked a little more flavour to some of the items. The hot sauces are good. The best Mexican I had was actually in Vienna-blew my mind. This was more average flavours, but still delicious and I would come back again.

Best authentic Mexican food in Leamington! The Beef Fajitas and Chicken Enchiladas were AMAZING!

Delicious! I've been missing legitimate tacos like from taco trucks (from the west coast) and these are the closest tacos I've found. Wish they would have come with a lime but meh, that's just being overly picky. The pastor taco had the best seasoning and even pineapple for the sweetness (definitely authentic tasting) and the chorizo was perfection. The two cups of verde salsa definitely need more of that salsa. Two tacos was plenty for me. My husband got a chorizo torta with fries and a soda. The fries were SO GOOD! Can't wait to come back and bring our friends!

Authentic Mexican restaurant. We had a chicken fajita, a cow tongue (lengua) taco and a beef burrito. The chicken fajita ($15) was pretty good. The cast iron plate came out sizzling hot. There were chunks of chicken meat, generous amount of sauteed onion and red pepper. The flavour was just right. The re-fried bean was very, very good: richly flavoured, smooth and undiluted. The corn tortillas were all right but could be softer. The rice tasted all right but was too mushy. The cow tongue taco ($2.25) was fresh and delicately flavoured. The meat's natural taste came through nicely. Lots of fresh cilantro added to the aroma. Loved it. The double soft tortillas tasted average/good/all right. The portion was snack sized. One will likely need 3 tacos to make a meal. The beef burrito ($5) was okay. The re-fried bean and the rice was good, but the beef was ground beef. I was hoping for beef strips. No such luck (meh). The portion was just right as a grab and go lunch. I paired it up with a taco appetizer, and it was a good portioned dinner for me. The seating area was clean, spacious and welcoming. The ambience feels like a restaurant. There was a salsa corner that customers selected their sauces. All of them were fresh and spicy. I tried and enjoyed all of them. The operation was self-served style. Customers ordered at counter, paid, then picked up food at counter when food was called. We were not sure if they expected tips, but we tipped anyway. The rating is not 5 stars perfection, but at this price point, it is damn close. If only they fix the mushy rice and improve the tortillas ......

Five tacos: chicken on top and steak on right (meh). Carne asada, chorizo, lengue (amazing).

Not fancy, but authentic tacos that pack some flavour for cheap! Make sure you try their pork (carne Asada), chorizo, and lengue. They're the most flavourful, moist and delicious! With onion and cilantro and ho

Carne asada tacos with sour cream.

Great authentic Mexican food. Great price and just like being in a restaurant in Mexico or the southern US.

After receiving numerous recommendations about this place (even from a relative who lives in…read moreLondon), we decided to finally check it out for ourselves. Our first visit resulted in us not going in, as the lineups were out the door...but that was a Sunday. We ventured back in the following week on a Tuesday at around 3:30pm and the place was fairly quiet. We were greeted at the door, passed two menus and were told to seat ourselves. Decor is non-descript....it reminded of several places I've dined at in Mexico...tv blaring in the back, basic tables, next to nothing on the tables (just napkins), a few authentic piece on the walls. Fancy it ain't. After reviewing their menu, we each decided on each getting a small chicken burrito (at $6.00) and share a large nachos ($7.00). Our waitress, once done cleaning tables, brought over a plate of homemade nacho chips and took our order. We were advised to go to the front of the restaurant to grab our own drinks from the fridge. I opted for a pineapple drink and my dining companion got Mandarin orange....they're authentic Mexican sodas (Jarritos) with lower sugar levels than pop. Our burritos came out first.....Fairly decent sizes considering we ordered a small. Stuffed with flavorful shredded chicken, corn, rice, fried beans and topped with cheese (Mexican), lettuce, tomatoes and onions. They were fantastic. Halfway through our meal, our nachos arrived. They were the same nacho chips we got earlier, sitting on a bed of refried beans and shredded beef, covered with lettuce and sour cream. All in all our meal was excellent and we left stuffed (and only finished half the nachos). Portion size, for the quality and quantity is excellent. We both will definitely go back. Just a quick reminder.....this is authentic Mexican fare...not tex-Mex....so the food isn't too spicy at all. You can kick it up using sauces.

Looks awesome with all the recent renovations! There's a reason it's been open for 25 years. Amazingread more
