Carne tacos
Ariel C.

Menu and packaging changed, not in a good way. The chips are now stale with barely half the portion of their previous chips, the tacos are sloppily packaged in soggy paper, the queso isn't as fresh or as flavorful. Luckily it doesn't seem like they changed their infamous salsa verde sauce but all the other changes are a shame. I'm all for restaurants making improvements and jazzing up their menu but in this case, don't fix what's not broken.

Enchiladas Verdes

After reading some negative reviews I felt a bit worried about my experience but I had no issues at all. We walked in and ordered at the counter and then they brought out food to our table shortly afterwards. Service is very quick and friendly. I had the enchiladas verdes which came with a side of shredded lettuce and Mexican rice. Everything tastes very good and the portion size was hefty. The tables felt clean too. On Tuesdays they have a cheap taco deal too!

Chicken Tinga burrito.

The guacamole is liquidy, like green broth, and not as thick as a smoothie. More like a drink. Dipped the very brown chip in it, couldn't scoop cuz ya can't scoop a drink, and it dripped off. Threw away. The chicken burrito is nothing like authentic mex food in Arizona and New Mexico, so it's probably just the water here which is made for hot dogs and pizza. What it lacks in flavor it makes up for in size. Huge like Chipotle but without beans or cheese or onion or cilantro. It probably caters to suburbanites who want food like McDonald's for their kids. Cool if they found their population to feed and make $. Mi Casa has flavor. There is a divey place off 64 or north ave that has fantastic food! All the chicken was lumped on one end. 95% rice. Yeah, didn't think we'd notice? Catered event had consensus review. Never going back.

Salsa Verde you have lost my business. I have been going there for a long time and brought you much needed business during the COVID shut down. I go through the drive through tonight to get some frozen Margaritas to bring to a friends house for them to try. (New business for you I may add) and I'm told they only do regular to go margaritas no frozen. I asked her since when? She tells me a few days ago? I call bull crap! I don't know if this a real policy you came up with or if she didn't want to make them. Whichever you have lost my business. Glad to see you are doing so well you can lose a trusty customer when things are still not up to par. Plenty of other Mexican take out places around here. I'm more then happy to give my business to one of them.

It's O.K., slow service and food is pretty plain. Nice location right on Rt. 31, downtown.

Good food. Friendly employees. My daughter loved the chips so much, they gave her a little bag to take home.

Not cheap, but you pay for quality. And they really have a good atmosphere. Good food, quality and quantity. 4 stars for higher price.

Best carne asada taco I've had in a long while. Sorry it took so long to finally eat here. A fast food place with good quality food.

I drive by this place all the time and finally decided to stop in on a beautiful day for some…read moretacos. I love that they have outdoor seating, although inside is a decent size too. The menu is pretty extensive - next time I'll have to try the breakfast which is served all day. The service was good, they brought my tacos outside to my table. Although they forgot to bring my guacamole so I took that home. The food was delicious though - I tried chicken tinga, al pastor, and chorizo. They were each very flavorful and cooked well. The salsas were tasty too. Looking forward to coming back!

So many good things to say - food tasted great and service exceeded my expectations!…read more I had the steak quesadilla which hit the spot - very generous portion of cheese and steak and it was super filling! My boyfriend had a variety of tacos (fish, shrimp, and ribeye steak) but the fish taco was his favorite. There were only 2-3 young men working the front of the house and they were hustling. They spoke very loud and clear (a good thing!) and stayed busy taking orders, cleaning tables, and checking on guests. Job well done to those hard workers. Inside is a bit tight. When we visited, a part of the restaurant was closed off for a party so seating was limited to the few tables up front. However, there are some tables outside and you're super close to St Mary's Park so you could always get your order to-go and picnic at the park.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and it was packed, which we took as a good sign. If it…read morewas not for our reservations, I am sure would would've had a wait before being seated. Even though it is more upscale than your typical Mexican restaurant, the chips and salsa were still served on the house, which I appreciate. I really enjoyed the salsa, as it had a little heat and good texture. I got a regular margarita with my meal. While it could have used more salt around the rim, it was still good. The lime did not over power the tequila and it had the perfect amount of sweetness. For my meal I got 3 tacos with a side of their refried beans. I wanted to try their pork options, so I got two that were a Yucatan style and one al pastor. The Yucatan ones were fine but just not for me, as well as the beans, as they were too smokey. The al pastor taco saved my meal, as it was juicy and had so much flavor. Overall it was a fun atmosphere and nice dinner. If you are looking for a nicer restaurant or a good place for a celebration, I would recommend here.

We arrived at Hacienda Real in Geneva and were initially told there would be a wait for a table…read more Fortunately, our table became available sooner than expected, which was a great start to the evening. We were seated outside around 7:30 PM, and the live music created a nice atmosphere. After being seated, our server brought chips and dip and took our drink orders. My children's drinks and my husband's drink arrived fairly quickly, but I waited quite a while for my drink. The server returned to take the adults' meal orders before my drink arrived, but did not ask for the children's orders and left the table. About an hour into our visit, we still had not received our food. When the children's meals finally arrived, one of the meals was not the cheeseburger that had been ordered. The server stated that a different kids' burger had been ordered and then took the food away. Shortly afterward, the adults' meals arrived. My parents, who joined us later, received their food soon after. While we appreciated being seated earlier than expected and enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere, the service was slow, there appeared to be confusion regarding the children's order, and the overall dining experience took much longer than anticipated. We were done by 910pm
