I really have to hand it to the waitstaff, bus people and cooks. During appleumpkin they really showed up and had a great attitude (from my viewpoint) and served warm food with a smile. We were a party of 6 and were sat promptly and food brought out in a timely manner. Drinks always filled. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was very busy and lively and still seems everyone was in good spirits throughout the restaurant. Great job. I had the bbq nachos. Definitely getting again. read more

If Fleetwood Mac had a texMex joint. Loud and full on a Friday night. They would be much better if in a larger space. Tables full of women drinking margaritas, it gets loud. The rest of the patrons are just pissed at the noise level and cackling. The music was exclusively Fleetwood Mac. No judgement but just thought it odd. I asked our server if they had fresh jalapeños that they could muddle into a classic margarita for me, Seeing that the habanero lime flavor was more sweet than spicy. She brought the margarita and it was muddled with pickled jalapeños. I've never heard of a Mexican restaurant not having fresh jalapeños available. Only pickled. Idk know why she said they had fresh to muddle.... She had them make me just a classic. It was still sweet but was better than it tasting like a spicy pickle. We ordered the chip dip flight. For $12, I expected fresh gauc. Nope it was the baby food stuff with fresh chucks in it. The queso and medium salsa was very good. I'd get that again. She said the fish tacos were popular and my husband ordered the BBQ pork nachos. The fish tacos were fine very little fish, great flavor and served very hot which is hard to do with fish tacos. The rice on the side had a tinge of brown coloring, which threw me off but it had a good flavor. The medley of black beans and corn was not fresh but it too had a good flavor. My husband's nachos came very heavy with pickled onions on top, and it was a little difficult to find any of the meat in these nachos. I'm glad we tried it again from our visit a few years ago. Updating our review from last time. The food was excellent as usual My fajitas were great. My wife's shrimp bowl was excellent as well and the drinks were well made and reasonably priced. With the elimination of a chair or two there's now more room at the bar to sit without being too close to the one next to you. And we saw a customers coming in the front door being attended to ....faster. Win - win - win. Because we like this place and we want you sticking around. Came here today for drinks and a snack. Had the queso and flame roasted salsa. Both are very good. Also had a margarita flight. Was a bit disappointed they had a limited number of flavors to choose from, but really liked the ones I got (strawberry, dragon fruit, white peach). The service great- they were super friendly and not at all pushy about not ordering more food. Will definitely make this a regular spot. read more

Visually fun place to eat and staff is always friendly and competent. What I like best is the consistent availability of specials, both food & seasonal drinks. They have first class margaritas and a huge variety of them. Tried a few of them and they were excellent. Food was good. Had the steak fajitas added sweet and spicy... jalapeños and pineapples for extra flavor. Loved the outside sitting area. Overall, a nice place to celebrate cinco of Mayo! Came back to try the Birria Tacos and wow! They are delightful! Perfect for this cold snowy weather! They could be a bit more on the crisp side (the tortilla that is) other than that they are excellent. 06/09/22 I tried to visit this restaurant in the "Covid Era" to no avail - it was closed. So tonight I thought it is past time to try it out. I wanted very badly to like this place. And although my comments below and rating above might indicate otherwise, I will be back to try again. Briefly: Pros * The absolute highlight was the traditional Elote or Mexican Street Corn. This is the ONLY place I have found that serves the corn on the cob with a skewer to hold onto, with the correct amount of crema, cotija cheese, and spices. I lived in So. CA for 40 years and this side dish was GREAT!! This is worth going back for alone! * I had the carnitas street tacos. The meat was fine - shredded but not fried to the extent I could tell. And this is ok, while not completely traditional - healthier! * Although I did not have a beer or drink, the Margarita menu looked interestingly creative and there were plenty of beer choices. Cons: * The service was very slow and completely disorganized. Although I know that "Help Wanted" signs are fairly ubiquitous in every establishment, still...my waitress was working a couple of tables in each of 3 separate areas. Many steps and a bit are unnecessary in my mind. But that is on the Management. Two bartenders, waitresses bussing tables and for whatever reason, 3 or 4 employees seemingly continuously milling at the kitchen entry. * Having finally received the bill, I find that I was charged $3.50 for run-of-the-mill, food service quality corn chips (cold), and some admittedly tasty salsa. This is new to me. In my experience, chips were generally freshly made, and hot and the salsa was something that the restaurant was proud of - and free. * I interrupted the manager (?) with a simple request to pay the bill. Although she was starting to seat other guests, she stopped and took my bill to the waitress at the rear of the restaurant. Big faux pas. I quickly apologized to the somewhat dumbfounded others saying, "I had no idea that she was going to leave you and take my bill. Thankfully, they had no issues with me and only agreed with my surprise. The waitress immediately comes out with my card and the handheld credit card machine. "Here you are..." with a note of disdain in her voice. Then without a thank you, she spins on her heels and leaves me with the machine. Good thing I am honest, those little terminals are not cheap. So sorry for the long read. As I said above, I will return someday. But the expectation will be that I have better service and what should have been a 30-minute taco meal (it was just me) not turn into a 65-minute visit again. read more

Been wanting to come into Salsaria's for a long time and finally came in on one of the last 70 degree days in October. This place is so cute inside and they have a place to eat outside as well. Let me start by saying the chips and salsa are the best I've ever had. You can get just chips and salsa for 3.50 and everything even the chips are fresh and homemade. Love love love them. We got the combos so we could try a little bit of everything. Beans and rice were wonderful and the taco was out of this world. I'll be honest at this point was pretty full but had a bite of the enchilada and was pretty good. I'm use to a red sauce so it kinda threw me off but still was pleasantly good. Never ate the tostada as I was just too full. Atmosphere was nice and our waitress was so friendly and we will definitely be coming back for cinnamon churros sometime soon. read more

My friend who's a Tecumseh Housewife took me here, I'm not from the area. We had an incredible time! We both got the margarita flights with chips and all the dips. They were SO good. We ordered the steak tostados, again...incredible. The staff were so engaging and thoughtful. We got to try the fruity pebble empanada...incredible! I needed to pick up prescriptions so decided to support a local business close to home. I got the family pack taco dinner special that is $21.99. It comes with 12 beef soft tacos with sour cream , cheese and lettuce(all which can be customized to be omitted), beans, rice and chips and salsa. It was a delicious idea as it was very tasty. Had a hard time with my latest visit here. Got the fajitas. No flavor. I was very disappointed in this. The fajitas also seemed undercooked, too, and just weren't what I was expecting. Salsas are good to try. This should really be a complimentary item, but it's not. Chips that accommodate the salsa are okay. Go if you want subpar Tex-mex food, although, depending on the day, Taco Bell may be better. Maybe they can win me back again one day. We came in when it was pretty quiet right before the dinner rush, we had excellent service and the interior is very well decorated and looks nice. Overall we had a decent experience, the Queso was perfect! I also enjoyed the selection of flavored teas, lemonades and limeades. My cherry limeade was amazing! The downside was our main course, the rice and beans were fairly good. However, my ground beef tacos were so bland. I really hoped the beef would have had some seasoning, so dry and tasteless. This place was fine. Not bad, but not quite good either. 1. You have to pay for chips and salsa. You DO get free refills on them after paying, so that's good, and the salsa was really good. The chips seemed store bought. 2. My boyfriend got some sort of caramel apple alcoholic drink- it was a seasonal special and was what the waiter recommended- and it was downright gross. 3. My enchiladas were fine. Nothing very good or bad about them. 4. For some reason, I really loved their refried beans. Never disappointed when I leave here. Margaritas are on point (get the flight & try the Chipotle pineapple!) I have a difficult time not filling up on the chips & salsa before my food comes because the salsa choices are so delicious... the garden salsa has such a fresh taste & the hot has a perfect, smokey kick. The Baja chicken salad is my favorite meal, the dressing it comes with is so unique & I can't get enough of it. I will say I wish more chicken came on the salad but that's okay! First off, let me say I do love the food there! However, the last four or five times we have visited there we have stood at the door waiting for someone to seat us for several minutes. There are always tables open when this happens. Most recently, we waited behind another couple who were seated in a couple of minutes and served immediately. We waited several minutes, we're finally seated and waited several more minutes before anybody even acknowledged that we were sitting there. They were very apologetic and tried to make up for it with really good service, which they did. It is a very nice looking establishment with excellent food I definitely could use a hostess who's on top of things. read more

The food was pretty terrible quality, the chicken fajitas are the equivalent of bagged chicken from Gordon's. the chips of the chips and salsa which I just learned they charge you for are some of the worst tortilla chips I've ever had. You can usually tell how good a Mexican place is by how their chips and salsa is when they serve it as an appetizer. From the get go we had a lovely server and was struck by how wonderful the environment is. When our chips came, they were warm and super crispy. Tasted great with their salsa (I think it's made in house, not totally sure. It also had cilantro in it, which I bet if you asked they could make it without if you have the cilantro gene like me), and it was wonderful to munch on during our short wait for our meals. We got the two different combo platters and enjoyed every bite. Everything was flavorful and crispy, and by the end we were both full to the brim!
