This taco spot is listed in my top 3 favorites in CT. Every time I dine here or order takeout, they never disappoint. Always on point, everything tastes authentic, I love it! My go to tacos are, Ribeye steak, Pork Belly, Baja Fish, Shrimp tempura, El Pastor. I recently tried their ceviche tostado and I would say it's pretty darn good, its not fishy at all. If you dine in, they do give you complimentary chips and salsa that they bring out to your table. They also have Mexican soda, Tres Leches, Flan cake, Churros. Just go and check out this spot! it's a hole in the wall but everything is delicious there!

We have previously dined at 2 other Salsas' restaurants, but this was our first visit to this location. The original Salsas was a small restaurant in Southington that subsequently relocated withing town to larger quarters. The original was far better than the newer ones as my wife and I have unfortunately discovered on subsequent visits to both the relocated restaurant and a sibling. My wife and I each ordered a pair of al pastor tacos for lunch which included complimentary chips and 2 salsas. The al pastor tacos were deemed pretty ordinary and not really qualifying as such because "al pastor" refer to being prepared "shepherds style" (i.e. roasted on a vertical grill) and these were not.

I was starving but didn't want anything heavy to Eat so decided to stop In . I got 2 freshly made tacos for 5.00! They were not spicy of a huge portion , which was perfect and so flavorful. I ordered, pork belly and Carnita Tacos. One had pineapple in it which I really enjoyed, it was toped with cilantro and a side of salsa and chips and guacamole. They had good variety on their menu, which means I'll be coming back! Not expensive, food is fresh and it hits the spot. They have tacos, empanadas , tostadas, salad , apps and burritos on their menu ! So good! Happy I got to stop in and check it out.see you soon!

If you are craving tacos, look no more!! These were some of the best tacos I've had in a LONG time, possibly ever in Connecticut. I came right during peak dinner hour on a Wednesday and I was pleasantly surprised that there was only 1 other person in front of me in line (I assume they are more of a takeout place). I ordered 4 tacos - 2 barbacoa and 2 asada. They came out pretty quick, and came with 3 different types of sauce, that were all delicious. The meat was super flavorful, and a generous portion was served on them. All the toppings tasted super fresh as well. Prices were also SUPER reasonable. I can't wait to go back....it is dangerous that this place is 5 minutes from my job!

After living in this area for over 4 years I finally made it to Salsas 4 Taqueria! We were greeted by the friendly staff and ate our dinner on site but I can see take out being a very easy process as well! We ordered Al pastor tacos and their birria tacos. Both were delicious! Al pastor can be tricky and could end up dry but this did not happen here! Loved it! Definitely up there with my favorite tacos in CT- go check them out!

For lunch, I had a Torta De Milanesa. This was my first torta from Salsas 4. If you don't know (and if you do), a torta is a super-charged Mexican style sandwich. The Milanesa refers to breaded chicken. Salsas 4 serves their Tortas on pressed bread that makes the outer crust ridged and crispy-crusty. The Torta fillings included oozy Oaxaca cheese, red onions, beans, tangy pickled jalapeños, tomatoes, mayo and avocado. Great contrasting flavors and textures. An awesome Torta! If you don't like fried breaded chicken, I hope you're feeling OK. But in any event, you can order a torta with things such as chorizo, carne asada, ham, shaved steak, Chile Relleno and marinated pork. Tortas! Stick another menu item on the resume Salsas 4. Still 5 Stars

You need to come here for you next Mexican fix! This place is authentic Mexican food! It felt like a home cooked meal. Everything is fresh made to order. The service and staff is excellent. Aware of the customers and was very friendly. I could of ordered the whole menu. Everything smelled so good and I wanted it all. I ordered their chicken empanadas and it was hot, cheesy goodness and nicely dressed with cheese and fresh toppings! I ordered a steak burrito but bowl style. My Husband ordered the pork belly, el pastor and carnitas tacos and comes with different sauces. He enjoyed every bite. Honestly, anytime I'm in this area I will be stopping here for my next taco or burrito fix.

Solid 3.5 stars. Wish Yelp let me do half stars. We got two make your own burritos, one with chicken and one with beef. They were very tasty. There was a pleasant sweetness to them that I really like but couldn't put my finger on what it was. My fiancé complained that there was too much rice in his. Overall solid place and fairly affordable too.

We stepped into to this bright and colorful establishment after grocery shopping. I was pleasantly surprised at how big my California Burrito was. It was huge! I added grilled onions to it which gave it the flavor pop I was looking for. You can add in items to your burrito. My hubby ordered the same thing in a form of a bowl. It was filling and flavorful. We also appreciate all of the help we received when ordering as we asked a lot of questions. They were very friendly.

    Specials board.

Outstanding! my family and I went here to for dinner tonight only because of the YELP reviews. It did not disappoint. the food was very authentic. in case you didn't know part of getting good food and service e is often the wait. All our meals were made to order piping hot. we order tongue, fish and shrimp tacos, and the Tlayudas Our Oaxacan Version of a Quesadilla with Homemade Corn Tortilla, Refried Beans, Oaxaca Cheese, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Avocados & Pickled Jalapeño. This is was outstanding. I've never had anything like this. We also ordered flan, churros and tres leches. I'm only here for 1 week but have already planned to go back A most try!

Tacos: chorizo, tempura shrimp, pork belly and lengua.

We've been coming to this taco spot many times now. I have my husband (who is Mexican) that loves coming here. He says the sauces are very good. If you like spicy sauces, their habanero sauce is spicy enough for that kick. The tacos are very flavorful, close enough to authentic. The shrimp tempura keeps the crunch even if you get it delivered (via DoorDash). Pork belly is soft, melt in your mouth type. My husband's favorites are the chorizo and lengua.

Menu less expensive than on door dash

I came here twice in 3 days the place was busy with take out orders and at around 3pm there were 2 tables occupied. First visit I ordered tacos: Beef tinga-this was a 3.5/5 kind of bland however the only one that has two tortillas Fish- super fresh and big for the cantina tortilla Shrimp tempura - could have passed on this one Pork belly - This was the bomb! Can eat 10 of these 2nd time I ordered from door dash. The prices are $1 more for tacos but I was sick but craving it so I just indulged Rib eye taco $4.50 on door dash but $3.50 in the restaurant. This wasn't anything special. It's like the regular taco de bistec you would get anywhere. Not worth $4.50 at all. I ordered two of the pork bellies and that was good as always. Fish-this time it wasn't the best but I blame it on the drive. Al pastor - meh Jr-not my thing but I can see why people like it it's like a birria almost. The sauces opened in the bag so it was a mess. I think it's better to order and eat at the restaurant. the pork belly was consistent and next time I will Move on to burritos

The fish tacos were okay. The fish was flaky but lacked spice. The sauce was creamy and smooth. The ambiance was relaxed and casual.

Puerto Vallarta for Cinco de Mayo was a WHOLE experience…read more This place was PACKED from start to finish, but honestly? The vibe made the wait worth it. There were lines everywhere, the parking lot was full, and the restaurant was extremely busy but the energy was so good it barely even felt like we waited long. They had two DJs, one inside and one outside on the deck area where there was also an outdoor bar. The music was nonstop and the DJ played a mix of everything, so people were dancing the entire night. While waiting for our table, we grabbed drinks outside and ended up dancing inside too We waited about 30 minutes to be seated (plus another 10 because we missed our first call while vibing on the deck ), but once we sat down everything moved smoothly. Drinks were STRONG and definitely worth the price I had a couple shots plus both the original and strawberry margaritas, and both were really good. The food? 10/10. We got tacos, quesadillas, sizzling fajitas, and fresh guacamole made tableside right in front of us. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and delicious. The fajitas coming out sizzling definitely turned heads I also appreciated how organized everything still felt despite the crowd. There was security at the front entrance, inside, and near the side exits, which helped things feel safe and controlled during such a busy event. This was the perfect spot to celebrate with friends. Great music, strong drinks, delicious food, and an atmosphere that felt like a real party from beginning to end. Would absolutely come back for another holiday, weekend or summer night on the deck

Btw thank you for the B52 shots, those were the cherry on top kind of evening.

There are also fresh accompaniments such as lime wedges and pickled onions, which should add a nice acidic contrast to the richness of the tacos. The consommé looks flavorful with herbs and a deep red broth, suggesting a well-cooked, spiced stock that's perfect for enhancing the taco experience. The melted cheese on one of the quesadillas suggests it's been griddled to a nice texture, adding another layer of indulgence. Overall, this meal seems satisfying, with bold flavors, contrasting textures, and the perfect balance of richness and freshness from the condiments. The meal likely delivers a comforting, savory experience with plenty of flavors from the slow-cooked meat and broth.
