Late dinners in Patterson often leaves a bit to be desired, okay, a lot, especially on week days. With my out-of-town boyfriend visiting, I figured I'd take him to a local staple, Ricky's. At 8:40pm, and them closing at 9pm, we walked in to order and were immediately turned away. A bit shocked and super disappointed with the lack of small-town hospitality, we headed back to the car. We noticed S&P on the corner with their OPEN sign on and figured it couldn't hurt to ask. We walked in and were greeted so warmly, despite them also closing soon. We ordered quickly, not wanting to hold them up, but they were in no rush. I ordered a carnitas super burrito, no beans, and my boyfriend ordered a torta and told them to surprise him with its contents. We sat down, got some of the free chips and salsa from the salsa bar and waited. We were told it would be a few extra minutes because the chef had something cool planned. His smile when they dropped off the food was priceless and, my god, that was by-far the best torta either of us have ever had. And my super burrito, perfect. It was fried on the outside to give it a nice texture and really complement the rest. Great service and great food, totally recommend! read more

The freshly made tortillas and Carne Asada Tacos are the best in the County! The sauce they put on the tacos is perfect in seasonings and spice. Add extra If you like it really spicy! Unfortunately they don't wear gloves at this establishment. The lady behind the counter was making my salad and placing all the ingredients in there with her bare hands. Unfortunately we had already ordered and paid for a bunch of food and then noticed the no gloves after the fact. As we traveled South on I5 we started searching for a place to have lunch and decided to venture off the highway to try something new. We hit the jackpot! At first I was a bit confused by the menu, but once I understood that the tacos were a la carte and didn't come as a "lunch plate" I was able to move on, LOL. I ordered the pollo asada burrito bowl and my husband ordered two carne asada tacos. His tacos were made fresh with the perfect blend of spices. My burrito bowl was out of this world delicious. Truly the best meal I had in three days of traveling. All of the ingredients were fresh and the rice was just like my grandmother used to make! I judge all Spanish rice by her standards. The restaurant was clean, prices affordable, authentic dishes and the service was friendly. If I lived closer I would absolutely go there often and have them cater an event. Normally, I'd give this place a 5 star. I absolutely love their food and the service is great. The only reason I am deducting 2 stars is because this is the second time they don't put meat on my son's quesadilla. I've never had any other problems with my orders. Luckily, my order had birria also, but I had to pick out the meat to make sure I didn't give him meat with salsa. I did place the order through the clover app and have never had trouble with it except for the meat quesadilla. I think the receipt was quite clear on the fact that I ordered the meat quesadilla. I also paid $3.00 extra for the meat. It would have cost me $3.99 if I only wanted a plain kids quesadilla, instead I paid $6.99. read more
