Stopped by S.J. Taqueria today and it absolutely delivered. We ordered four carne asada tacos (everything) and two shrimp tacos, and every bite was on point. The carne asada was flavorful, tender, and cooked just right--classic, no shortcuts. Onions and cilantro were fresh, the salsas had real heat and balance, and the tortillas held everything together perfectly. The shrimp tacos were a great contrast--lighter, well-seasoned, and done with care. Nothing greasy, nothing rushed. Just solid food made by people who clearly know what they're doing. We visit this place often. Probably once a week. And we always have a big order. But today I was so frustrated with the customer service that was given. Every time the older gentleman is working he is always so nice, helpful, and his food is ALWAYS ON POINT. But when the 2 ladies work specifically the one answering the phones and passing out the orders tonight, she has tattoos ... her phone manors were extremely rude was in a rush to take my order and was irritated because we had a big order you could tell by how she was talking and responding, we go to pick up the food and were at the window paying, we paid and she handed the bag to us had beans all over it we ask for more napkins she replied with attitude "there's napkins in the bag, hands over a stack of napkins and slams the window shut". So sorry to inconvenience you for extra 2 cent napkins, and maybe next time when I'm ordering listen because you made my order wrong . Attitude towards a paying customer is WILD to me. The ONLY REASON I gave 4 starts instead of 5 was because of the reputation the elderly gentleman still has with me. read more

This has really delicious food. I love the Carnitas. I love the El store. I love the chicken. I love the nachos super nice people who make great food. It's quick it's fast. It's delicious. The only thing is they aren't allowed to sell drinks, which is not fair to them, but I love their breakfast burritos. I think there's some of the best in town especially with chorizo and potatoes. Just went to this taco truck on Friday 8/19/22, I got the Flautas à la cart, normal price was $9. They charged me $8. Back today to grab a burrito for my husband asked for flauntas a la cart, now they are $10. Literally there was a tablespoon of half of beans and maybe 2 tablespoons of rice. You're better off going to El Roselle. Their flavors have drastically changed and their quality is not as great I think they're very overpriced. Regardless of the price of things nowadays for a taco truck they're severely overpriced. read more

I came across this truck on the corner street where there were some auto business' I'm sure glad I pulled over. $1 tacos & $3.50 a burrito!!! Since it was close to dinner time i ordered 2 tacos. I ordered an asada & a carnitas taco. The asada taco was OK but the carnitas taco was the one!!! I Ordered it extra crispy and it was done perfectly. Having to change my 5 star review because this is almost a completely different truck now. My office has frequented SJ for years. All agreed it was the best in town. Looks like they got some help, some big changes were made, it's just not the same. Quality of the food has changed, prices have changed (I can understand that and would be happy to pay the higher prices for the older product). They no longer sell drinks.... And after placing an office order via telephone, I got there to find out they now only accept cash. Bummer. Had to walk away. Sadly, this was our last visit ever to SJ. Ordered the rice and bean burrito with salsa. While the salsa wasn't spicy it had a vinegar kick that I'm nit fond of but the hubby liked it. The burrito itself was great. Rice wasn't too hard or salty and the refried beans were great. They even grilled the Tortillas without us asking.
