On our…read moreway to Yellowstone we had stayed at a ramshackle motel seven miles north in Bliss, and I knew we had to find something better for our return trip. This was maybe $50 more than the dingy Bliss motel, and 100% worth it. The owners live on property and seem to put a lot of love and care into it. I really liked their yard decor; it think it helps make the place feel more comfortable for people of all walks of life. We stayed in the Hemingway cabin, which was just perfect for us as a solo couple. Everything was clean, including linens and bedding. The shower worked well. I appreciated the decor that emphasized the Hemingway theme, although I might suggest an accent color wall could jazz the place up a bit. Perhaps the wall behind the refrigerator. Speaking of, we were happy to find the standard amenities like microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. It was quite warm during our stay and, although an older unit, we found the AC to work well. The bed was comfy and we both slept really soundly! There is one lodge area with several rooms, and then the cabins scattered around the property. Although there were other guests using the common areas, we never felt crowded or like we were forced to interact due to layout. We enjoyed a couple friendly chats with other guests. We had dinner on our front deck and enjoyed the creek babbling away alongside us. The creek setting was AMAZING. Having just driven through endless miles of cow farms on Highway 30, we weren't prepared for this idyllic setting we landed in. I mean... stunning. Being from Western Oregon we're spoiled by scenery, so I don't say that lightly. We had a long drive ahead and I very much wish we had been able to spend more time here. Only two minor things to mention. First, this is very near the highway so if you want to sleep with windows open, you can expect some highway noise. It was not something that impacted our stay to any degree. Second, the entire entrance and parking areas are filled with round rock instead of gravel, which made my Toyota Corolla slip around like crazy. My boyfriend was puzzled by the choice. It's certainly nowhere near a deal breaker, just a minor annoyance. Area observations: The town of Hagerman just south has pretty sparse amenities, depending on what your typical travel style is. Bliss, the town to the north, is not much more than a truck stop with fast food. Highway 30 isn't really scenic at all unless you're right near the gorge area. And the entirety of Southern Idaho smells like cows...it can be better or worse depending on conditions, but it's there. We didn't have time to explore the area, but the Hagerman Fossil Beds sound cool and there's parks and natural areas to explore along there.

Where do I begin?! Twin Falls wasn't originally on our…read moremotorcycle trip itinerary. But, when we changed our route- I wanted a property with an outdoor pool- THAT was my main focus. The pictures on Yelp & their website are what you get!! I do advise to go to their website & read instructions on their homepage. JonPaul is such a great guy! Easy to talk to & very friendly. Although I'd love to indulge in one of their rooms that offered a sauna or the steam room- these rooms are located on the second floor. And that's one thing we made sure on this motorcycle trip from San Diego to Boise-- get rooms that are on first floor. We Stayed here for one night- but, enjoyed the hot tub & pool on site. At the time we stayed- the outdoor fire pits weren't available. The rooms even have black out curtains too! Which was an additional bonus. Plenty of restaurants nearby & gas stations. I'd rather support a local business than a chain hotel.

Check in was easy and the staff was friendly and helpful. Cell service and the WiFi was good. The water slide and pools were a hit with the kids and the adults. We didn't get a chance to do the mini-golf. The campground is well maintained. The only downside was that the store and water slides close at 6pm on Sundays. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Don't waste your money!…read more Planned a get together with my out of state family and decided on renting 2 cabins at Anderson camp. I should have read the reviews before booking. I don't even know where to begin in explaining how awful our experience was. We paid $80 a night per cabin, plus a $25 refundable remote fee. When we called to book the cabins the person we talked to said it was private and that the spaces were apart so that we would have privacy but we were surrounded by RV spots. The pictures online are very misleading! On the site map it shows the cabins next to a stream with the doors facing the stream but that is not the case. The doors and the porch face the longterm RV spots which was not a nice view or private at all. The cabins were so HOT inside it was like sleeping in a sauna. Even tho there are 2 fans and windows you can open, it was so miserable, even at night! At 9pm I went to wash my hands in the sink inside the cabin and the sink started backing up. I found a plunger in the bathroom and when I tried using it in the sink a bunch of old stagnant, stinky, slimy and moldy water came up and you could tell it has been plugged up for a while. I had to call the after hours number and spoke to some lady who told me she would send the maintenance man over. About 20 min later he shows up stumbing all over the place, slurring his words and stinking like alcohol. He had the nerve to ask us "what we put down the sink" I told him we did not put anything down the sink and that obviously the sink had been plugged for a while. He then told me that he "has never had that happen in 7 years". I told him theres a first time for everything and that I was offended that he accused us of doing it. NO apology was given! After he fixed it he stumbled back out to his car and left. The cabins were dirty and full of cobwebs. Our fan quit working in the middle of the night, and in order to shut the light off without turning the ceiling fan off, we had to use the rickety chair to stand on in order to reach the chain to turn off the light. I called the next morning and talked to the "so called" manager and told her what happened....she didnt care. And again...no apology! She brought us another fan and said that the maintenenance man "her husband" was not drunk, he had just woke up....whatever lady, I know a drunk when I see one! For little more money we could have stayed at the KOA with AC, privacy and good customer service. To "Jason" the owner, your business has gone to downhill and you should either get rid of the clowns you have running it, or teach them some manners and how to treat their customers with respect. You should care more about how your customers are treated so they will actually have a good experience and come back. Do better!!!

Pulled in and…read morewas immediately greeted by Janell the friendly and helpful host - She even asked if I qualified for any discounts and shared what they are. The spots are nicely laid out, spacious, plenty of room even for big rigs. Nice grass patch and table / bench setup at each one. Full hookups that are in good condition, wired correctly, and work. There is some road noise from the 93, as to be expected - not like the host can do anything about that.. didn't bother us though. There are fenced in 'dog run' areas with grass where you can let your dogs off to run around and do their business, just be a good human and pick up after them. There is also a dump station, laundry room, bathroom, dumpsters all available. I like it so much, we're staying an extra night!

There's 2 nice grassy off leash dog areas the side of the park we have stayed in at least 5 times has long gravel spurs some are more level than others. Reasonable prices and staff is polite
