I've heard wonderful things about the gnocchis here so I had to come try them. They were not kidding! I dream about these things now lol that's how good they are. The Caesar salad was also excellent. I've never tried anything else from here, so I can only speak on those two items. But those items alone are enough to make me want to come back again and again!

was staying in the area with friends and they said what a great pizza this was and they weren't lying. This is really good pizza very large more than four people can eat. We had half white pizza and half meatball pizza. We each had a salad we had the Milano salad and they had the eggplant with mozzarella. Everything was delicious. The service was good indoor outdoor eating.

My dad has been talking up Saltwater for a few years now so I finally went with him last week. It has your typical shore vibe with young seasonal workers. My dad and his partner started with wine, I opted just for water since they said they didn't have an Aperol spritz. They did, however, have a specialty drink menu. They brought over bread with an oil/balsamic dipping blend for dipping. My dad ordered the garden salads for everyone and they were HUGE. Salads here are definitely meant as a meal and not a side. I couldn't finish mine and while I never do this I took half home and it was still crunchy and fresh the next day. Despite my dads directions to order the gnocchi, I went with the 9th street chicken cutlet because it also had a side of gnocchi. The cutlet was crispy and had mozzarella, roasted red pepper, and a balsamic drizzle. You my only critique is it could use more seasoning in the breading. The gnocchi was the star. While appearing dense, they were the lightest, melt in your mouth, cheesiest gnocchi I ever had. If I had known the side was only 3 gnocchi ( they were pretty big) I would have just listened to my dad and ordered the gnocchi. The star of the whole evening for me though was the Zeppoli. We opted for 2 orders and nearly ate the entire thing. Warm pillows of powdered sugar dough are the dessert equivalent to their gnocchi. Our main server was hustling and while plates could have been cleared before our entrees arrived, she did a nice job considering seasonal servers don't typically have the same style as veterans. My ONLY suggestion is that they really take a look at their tables. The indoor tables have so much food and crumbs in between the slats and due to the design of the tables it's tough to clean. They would probably need to completely turn them upside down and hose them off to get it out and then use a plastic tablecloth to avoid it in the future. But it's definitely something to consider.

Food was good but they are understaffed so expect long wait times! Our table shared the house and ceaser salad. The homemade garlic butter croutons are delicious. We also shared the original pie pizza and we highly recommend trying at least one of the pizzas! Our table was super close to the one next to us and people kept bumping the pizza board. I recommend asking for an outside table as the inside tables are really close to each other. Those who ordered the chicken parm loved it! There are different types of sauce to choose from based on your preference. The entree came with 3 housemate gnocchis. We had to wait longer for these as they didn't come out with our meals. They were super mushy but still delicious in the blush sauce. We also shared the sausage and peppers dish that had a mix of spicy and mild- highly recommend! For drinks, we had the saltwater martini- their version of a watermelon martini. Super sweet but good! Our table also liked the bourbon lemonade. Drinks took forever so if it's busy, be mindful when ordering your second round. Bill was about $300 for a party of 6 with a few drinks. I'd only go back on a non busy weeknight.

This place was a welcomed surprise!…read more We've visited Margate several times over the years, mainly locals. How have we never visited this restaurant? The photos on Yelp do not do this place justice. The downstairs area is on the casual side, but the upstairs dining area is nice! Not stuffy, but a little more upper echelon than the downstairs space. Cool bar area! We sat at a high-top and enjoyed a few glasses of wine (Sauvignon Blanc...house option). We split the meatball and the mussels in red sauce. That broth was bread-dipping good! Chicken Parm (red sauce), Chicken Parm (vodka sauce), the salad, and the seafood special for me. My entrée was mistakenly delivered to another table, and our server (Nicolette) was upset. They fired another one on the fly and it arrived minutes later. She comped our dessert to account for the error. So not necessary but so thoughtful. Her fun personality elevated our experience! I trust this place is filled to the gills with shore peeps during the summer. I am glad we got to experience it ahead of the season!

Located next to Lucy the Elephant, Venturas Greenhouse has one part of the restaurant serving pizza, bar, food, and frozen drinks with a beach bar like vibe while the dining room is the more formal restaurant featuring steak, seafood, and pasta dishes. There was a roasted garlic bulb in olive oil for the bread, but the garlic could have been cut so that it's easier to get the garlic and spread it on the bread. As someone who gets down in the kitchen, I always cut the tops when roasting it for this purpose and it makes it so much easier to work with. My dad and his partner got the beet salad and my husband I shared what was described as dungeoness crab bisque. As a crab bisque lover, I was surprised when it came out like a chowder with large chunks of potatoes and huge pieces of crab. It was very flavorful, but so filling and not like the crab bisque I was used to having. For our entrees, my dad and his partner both got the sesame crusted salmon. I don't eat salmon, but they both seemed to enjoy it. My husband got the shrimp Parm, which I tried and wish I had ordered it instead of the chicken Roberto. My dish was very bland. Described as a chicken francaise with crab meat, the crab meat and chicken would have been dry, but the lemon butter sauce giving it life needed capers and seasoning. The veggies and potatoes served with it on the side were...awkward. A whole carrot, chunk of celery, a few slices of onion just seemed like it was parts of what we throw in a roast for flavor, and lacked effort as a side dish. For dessert we shared the limoncello cake, which was very light and exactly as expected. Our server was very sweet and attentive. Service was definitely not an issue. I would go back and try the bar area, as it seems like that is where this place may stand out the most, especially with their location.
