Pizza with meatballs
Harriet M.

was staying in the area with friends and they said what a great pizza this was and they weren't lying. This is really good pizza very large more than four people can eat. We had half white pizza and half meatball pizza. We each had a salad we had the Milano salad and they had the eggplant with mozzarella. Everything was delicious. The service was good indoor outdoor eating.

My dad has been talking up Saltwater for a few years now so I finally went with him last week. It has your typical shore vibe with young seasonal workers. My dad and his partner started with wine, I opted just for water since they said they didn't have an Aperol spritz. They did, however, have a specialty drink menu. They brought over bread with an oil/balsamic dipping blend for dipping. My dad ordered the garden salads for everyone and they were HUGE. Salads here are definitely meant as a meal and not a side. I couldn't finish mine and while I never do this I took half home and it was still crunchy and fresh the next day. Despite my dads directions to order the gnocchi, I went with the 9th street chicken cutlet because it also had a side of gnocchi. The cutlet was crispy and had mozzarella, roasted red pepper, and a balsamic drizzle. You my only critique is it could use more seasoning in the breading. The gnocchi was the star. While appearing dense, they were the lightest, melt in your mouth, cheesiest gnocchi I ever had. If I had known the side was only 3 gnocchi ( they were pretty big) I would have just listened to my dad and ordered the gnocchi. The star of the whole evening for me though was the Zeppoli. We opted for 2 orders and nearly ate the entire thing. Warm pillows of powdered sugar dough are the dessert equivalent to their gnocchi. Our main server was hustling and while plates could have been cleared before our entrees arrived, she did a nice job considering seasonal servers don't typically have the same style as veterans. My ONLY suggestion is that they really take a look at their tables. The indoor tables have so much food and crumbs in between the slats and due to the design of the tables it's tough to clean. They would probably need to completely turn them upside down and hose them off to get it out and then use a plastic tablecloth to avoid it in the future. But it's definitely something to consider.

Food was good but they are understaffed so expect long wait times! Our table shared the house and ceaser salad. The homemade garlic butter croutons are delicious. We also shared the original pie pizza and we highly recommend trying at least one of the pizzas! Our table was super close to the one next to us and people kept bumping the pizza board. I recommend asking for an outside table as the inside tables are really close to each other. Those who ordered the chicken parm loved it! There are different types of sauce to choose from based on your preference. The entree came with 3 housemate gnocchis. We had to wait longer for these as they didn't come out with our meals. They were super mushy but still delicious in the blush sauce. We also shared the sausage and peppers dish that had a mix of spicy and mild- highly recommend! For drinks, we had the saltwater martini- their version of a watermelon martini. Super sweet but good! Our table also liked the bourbon lemonade. Drinks took forever so if it's busy, be mindful when ordering your second round. Bill was about $300 for a party of 6 with a few drinks. I'd only go back on a non busy weeknight.

Perfect dining experience in the picturesque seaside town of Margate. Now- don't let the name fool you, it's not seafood (a little weird lol) but excellent Italian fare in a comfortable laid back setting. The restaurant itself is spacious with tables spread a pleasant distance apart. If alfresco is more your style, there is also a good amount of outdoor seating available. If the breeze is right, you'll probably get a nice waft of the nearby ocean air. The food and service is just stellar! The servers were attentive and made sure to check in frequently enough and deliver all needs despite how busy the establishment was. I started the meal with the house salad and decided to try the gnocchi in blush. The salad was absolutely excellent! Very fresh bed of greens lightly dressed with roasted reds and sharp provolone. Amazing salad but even BETTER was the gnocchi. Perfect pillows of homemade pasta in a rich creamy blush. The portion was perfect. Just enough to be satisfied without feeling stuffed. Our table shared a pizza as well which was also really good. It was a Sicilian pie with an excellent crust. Very large and perfect for sharing. I was too full for dessert but heard great things about the zeppoli. I will definitely go for it next time around. I did finish the evening with the rose sangria though. It was wowza. A great drink for all my rose all day girls. Haha. Excellent food at a great price. The only thing you should note is that margate it pretty much a street parking only town. If you plan to be here on a weekend in the summertime, know that it will be hard to park. Walk if you are nearby.

Try the saltwater watermelon martini- it's refreshing and delicious!

Perfect restaurant! This is an amazing restaurant to go to with family, on a date, or even have a small event. We have been enjoying this restaurant for a couple of years. We love the Caesar and Milan salads, the Gnocchi, the square and NEW round pizzas. My personal favorite is the mushroom rosemary pizza!! Delicious! My kids love the Chicken Parmesan and NEW fries. The cannoli's and zeppoli are always a sweet treat to end the night. This place is amazing. The owners have hearts of gold and care for our family like they would their own. We have food allergies and Lori and David as well as Chef David have taken the utmost care of us and always keep us safe:) They are so knowledgeable about every ingredient in the restaurant. The staff are always attentive, friendly and helpful. When you go into this restaurant you feel like you are walking in to a fun family gathering:) I had my 50th birthday celebration here last summer- we had about 25 people and everyone enjoyed their meals and we had an awesome time. The staff was amazing for my celebration as always! I cant say enough about this place- we love it - it is our favorite place to go with our family :)

Please note: my husband and I visited here LDW weekend, Friday- to be specific. 1. Our reservation was at 7pm and we were seated right away. This is restaurant, is massive, btw. 2. The service was nearly perfect. Honestly, if anything, the dinner went too fast, but I am not going to complain. 3. If you know the area, you know what you're getting into, price wise. It's Margate, NJ- what were you expecting?! ...the worst part of the whole thing is parking. But, again, if you know the area- this typically the case. Just reserve about 10-15 minutes to find parking. We started the evening with some cocktails. I went with the Perfect Sunset, which was a take on a spicy passionfruit margarita. I don't typically opt for tequila-based beverages, but it was good! J got a dirty martini (with blue cheese olives) and thought it was perfected well. To start the meal we went with the barratta special which was accompanied by a variety of fruit, arugula, EVOO, and balsamic drizzle. It was decent. Dinner rolls are complimentary, but nothing to write home about. Most definitely not homemade. For entrees, J went with the Filet which came with roasted potatoes and seasonal veggies. Not only did we agree that the steak was cooked to perfection but it came with a delicious marsala sauce. I went with the Arrogosta pasta which was INSANEEEE! It's MP, which had me unsure, but this portion was huge in every way and packed the flavor I was looking for. This restaurant overlooks the bay and we were lucky to watch the gorgeous sunset. It's handicap accessible, and the dress code is casual. Yes, it's a loud restaurant- but as expected by how large it is. I don't care what these other people are saying, we will most definitely be returning.

I ordered the chicken Cesar wrap which came with a side and I also ordered a side of the Mac and cheese. The Cesar wrap was really good and had an equal part of chicken and salad mix. The dressing was perfect and did not have a soupy taste with all of the ingredients mixed together. My only wish is that the wrap was a little bit thicker as it fell apart very easily. The wrap is definitely enough for two people to share. I was able to have leftovers the next day and it was still tasty. The Mac and cheese tasted like a white cheddar mix. Overall not mad but needed a tad bit of seasoning for my liking. Overall good experience and friendly staff. Our table was ready when we arrived. There were guests sitting both on the screened in patio and inside, but I'm surprised it wasn't more crowded being in the middle of Summer. Since OC is a dry town, Cousin's is not BYO. It would have been nice to have a glass of wine with dinner but the entire experience was exceptional from the service to the food. We started with 3 appetizer samplers to split between the table. Each order came with 2 of the following: crab stuffed mushrooms, clams casino, and clams Las Vegas (clams topped with lump crab, the consensus favorite!!). After ordering our entrees our server brought out a large salad bowl for the table with a generous amount of salad topped with their famous honey Dijon vinaigrette. One of the best salad dressings I've ever had! They bottle and sell their dressing for guests to purchase. As our entrees started coming out we could not believe the portion sizes. I had mussels in red and the whole dish was delicious. Mounds of mussels overtop of an almost never ending bed of linguine (which their menu says is imported). The bread served with dinner was great to use to dip in the gravy. My fiancé and her mom ordered clams in white over linguine which they also loved. My fiancés sister had the Cousin's Special in white served with shrimp, scallops, crab, and clams over linguine. I wasn't able to get pictures of anyone else's meals as they were all on the other end of the table but everyone enjoyed their dinners. Everybody but me had leftovers to take home. I overindulged but it was worth it. This was my first time at Cousin's and my fiancé's family's first time back in years. We were all so pleased with our experience that I'm sure we'll be back next summer while we're on vacation in Ocean City.

First of all, bravo to them for offering an affordable menu during select times--something rare these days! I was initially drawn to their LG plain pizza, which was priced reasonably between 2pm-5pm around $11 (not $28 like many places!). While the cheesesteak wasn't part of the Happy Hour deal, I was so impressed by the rest of their menu that I decided to give it a try, along with an order of cheese fries. Let me tell you, this is the spot I've been searching for in Atlantic County. I was nearly in tears because everything was just that good. The Philly cheesesteak? Glorious. It's massive--basically like two full cheesesteaks in one--and the flavors are incredible. It's fresh, perfectly seasoned, and easily one of the best sandwiches I've had since Gino's. No exaggeration. The pizza? Beautiful. It was perfectly made, fresh, and delicious. Even the cheese fries were warm, fresh, and made with care. What truly impressed me were the little details--Sappore sent paper plates, ketchup, and utensils with my order. I can't remember the last time a place went above and beyond like that. They genuinely care about their food and customers, and it shows. I don't eat out often, but when I do, I expect food to be worth the money and far from mediocre. Sappore delivered in every way. 5 stars all the way! I can't wait to order from them again. Keep up the amazing work!
