Awful experience here. Appt type: Simple hair cut Cons: - Booked an appointment with the owner of the salon and she only was present for about 25% of my appointment. For a base price of $95, I expect to be paying for the licensed stylist to be primarily working on my hair, not the assistant. The stylist instead cut my hair while it was wet, had the assistant blow dry my hair (which took forever. Slowest blow dry I've ever experienced.) while she worked on another client who she had stacked only 15 minutes after my scheduled appt. When she finally came back she finished dry cutting my hair, said she was going to cut my long layers by hand after texturizing, but definitely only used the texturizing shears for my layers and then called it a day. - The assistant who washed my hair spilled water down my face and down my shirt. Enough water to completely coat one side of my face and leave a large water spot on the sweater I was wearing. - The hair cut (trimming my pre existing long layers and curtain bangs) took an hour and 45 minutes. I have a lot of hair, but every other appointment I've had from other salons are done in an hour, hour and a half tops if they talk a lot, and with better execution. The stylist herself was present for about 25 minutes of that hour 45. - The end product was a very basic blow dry that was not as silky or moisturized as my hair is when I leave other salons and decently frizzy. I had an appointment on Mon, 7/17 @ 7 pm. I got there at 645 pm and at 7 pm, the owner Brittany, who I had an appt with stated she was running behind ( never said how long.) I waited until 725 pm and left. From what I realized, she was just beginning to cut the other clients hair at 7 pm, so I would probably waited until 745 pm or later to get my hair cut. The owner never told me how long it would take. I have a lot of hair and it's thick, so I probably would have been there until 9:30 pm. This is poor service. If another client is running behind and will delay the next client, then she should be rescheduled, not the future clients who arrive on time. I sent her an email and she stated that I left at 7:15 pm and that she was done at 7:25 pm - lies! I left at 7:25 pm ( they should check the cameras.) She should have rescheduled with me after 15 min and offered a discount ( this is customer service!!! ) You do not just have customers wait, but instead keep them informed and give them a time!! She stated in her email that I asked for a late appt, so she was being flexible. This is incorrect. The receptionist stated that the owner stays late on a few nights, so I took the appt. She was not making special arrangements for me. Poor customer service. I will NOT return. read more

I have been seeing Kai for cut and color for years and she's one of the only stylists that understands that although my hair is fine there is a lot of it. Almost every other stylist I've seen wants to give me a fairly blunt cut and I end up with what I call "triangle head." Kai does a great job taking out the weight without it looking like I have Jennifer Aniston "Friends-era" layers. She is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced.
