I have been going to Victor for at least 2 years now. I certainly hope nothing ever happens to him, because he is the only person who has been able to get my hair how I want it. I have very straight hair and I am very low maintenance when it comes to my hair, I can barely use a curling iron. The way he cuts layers into my hair allows for me to just give it a quick "zhuzh" and have it looking perfectly styled. he is also the only person who has gotten my hair the shade of silver I want, which has been very difficult for stylists to do for me in the past. He is honest about what my hair needs and what can be accomplished with it. His technique has also kept my hair extremely healthy, despite being a high level blonde there's virtually no sign of damage. On top of all this, the atmosphere of the salon is amazing with a great view of the ocean. Robert, who also helps in the salon, is so nice as well and will make sure you're all set up with a drink while you have your appointment, get you or recommend you one of the products from their amazing line of products, and set up your future appointments. Even the assistant stylists he has are great and help expedite the service so that you're not waiting around forever, I personally get pretty antsy during long hair appointments. Everyone is so friendly and fun to talk to. 100/10, not only will I keep going back, but I pray that nothing ever happens that will make me have to look for a new stylist, because nobody can truly compare.
I was a past customer here until my hairdresser decided to move to another salon. I have had my hair cut, styled, color, highlighted and done fancy updo's. I tried the Brazilian Blow Out and hair treatments that left my hair feeling really silky smooth. Victor Paul the owner has done some beautiful makeup on me for a special occasion. I recommend any hairdressers or Victor to help get you looking like a star. This salon is beautifully decorated in glam and glitz even the bathroom has a touch of glam. They offer complimentary water, wine or tea. While you wait you can shop for hair products, jewelry and accessories. The salon staff is really friendly. I highly recommend this salon its a hidden gem with a O.C. flair.
Josh is pretty amazing at what he does. I decided to get a cut with him from a Groupon cert. I told him my life style and what I did for work, and he was able to cut accordingly. The salon feels more tight-knit too. The different salons I've been to in the past have a ton of people doing a ton of different things (ie: there is a person washing your fair, bringing you a glass of water, another person bringing you water, and obviously there is the actual stylist). Would be back!
Been meaning to write this review for a while and will be going back soon. Best stylists and salon vibe. All of the staff members were super friendly and respectful. Victor literally transformed my hair, which was a total disaster. He's a rockstar when it comes to highlighted hair.
Victor has given me the perfect blonde color! It is very hard because my hair has a red undertones. Including a photo. Wish I had before and after.
Another great cut and color at the salon! Been seeing Randy Coyote for years and his master colorist skills rock! Just Go!
Jessica Felix is AHHHMAZING! She is so professional and caring. Her color and hair cutting skills are top notch too! I always leave her chair feeling like a million bucks. I'm so happy she's back at Victor Paul Salon. I love that salon offers a variety of high end products and everyone is extremely welcoming and friendly. I can't wait for my next visit.
Josh Clark is seriously the most amazing stylist. I am so in love with my hair. He did a balayage, root color, toner, cut, and style. He is so talented, my new favorite person. I will be coming back and telling everyone to go to him!!!
Decided to try this place because of the great reviews and because my hair is super curly. Went here 11/15/14 for a Brazilian Blowout and a haircut. The stylist was very nice and the place was very clean. I liked the haircut and the treatment process took a long time but looked fine, I was pleased when I left. Before leaving the stylist told me if there were any problems just to call her. I was careful and followed all the instructions in order to keep the blowout treatment and even purchased a $30 Shampoo specifically for brazilian blow outs so it can "last longer". After the first wash, my hair was completely back to normal. I was VERY disappointed because there was zero difference. I called the salon and left a message for my stylist. The next time I washed my hair I noticed my hair was very dry and seemed brittle. About three weeks after the treatment my hair started falling out in HUGE clumps, it falls out very easily now. When I shower there are huge bundles of hair, when I try to brush my hair even more falls out, even sleeping or laying against the couch full bundles of hair come off. I have called back 3 different times, left messages with receptionist and she only says "your stylist isn't here today" "your stylist is sick" or they will get back to me (left my name and phone number). I am tired of waiting and am completely upset by the damage to my hair. I feel like I am going bald! And I am only 21 years old! Horrible customer service, I do not recommend anyone going here for hair treatment.
I've been addicted to this salon ever since Jordan gave me a Brazilian blowout! My hair has never looked so great and easy to take care of! I recently saw him again last week for balayage. I went in for a consult and he was very thorough in listening to my thoughts and coming up with a vision of the perfect color to complement the warm tones in my hair. He listened to my concerns about needing a low maintenance color and also about the previous ombré that is fading on my hair. He educated me about the process and presented me a slower but healthier option to keep the integrity of my hair. It was a lengthy process but the color came out perfectly, very natural. I'm excited to see how it looks in 6 weeks as I know it'll look even better over time! Thanks to Jordan Koestner for being such an awesome stylist who really cares about his clients and is so talented! I'm glad to have met him and glad to have found a new stylist. After 2 great experiences, I can say that I have the utmost trust in him with my hair! I've already recommended him to my girlfriend and she loves him too!
This salon is fabulous! When I walked in, I was warmly welcomed into the salon. They went to the back and got my stylist. Jordan greeted me with a great smile and walked me back to his chair. He spent a good amount of time understanding my hair and what I wanted to see differently. As we were discussing options he was very educating on why we would do it one way versus the other. He really did leave no questions unanswered. I had scheduled a balayage, a Brazilian blowout and a cut. We knew I was going to be there for a while. Jordan never made me feel like I was a burden or rushed in any way. Once the color was completed, there was a spot we agreed could use a bit more lifting, so he did jus that. Then took time and went the extra mile to curl it, so I could see how it would fall and ensure I was 100% satisfied. Now we moved on to the clarifying wash of my hair. He gave me an incredible scalp massage, I am not upset my hair required 3 washes to be done. We had nice conversation the whole time without being too personal. After the Solution was put on, I was sat under the dryer to set the blowout, while there I enjoyed a lovely glass of wine. Now off to the blow dry and flat ironing for the Brazilian. He was gentle with my hair and gave the roots a bit of volume with the way he positioned the flat iron. The cut ... swoon... I love the way he cut my hair. To sum up my visit, 10 stars, two thumbs up, I couldn't be happier. Jordan has an amazing technique his attention to detail is unparalleled, and he is incredibly knowledgeable about what he does. If you are looking for a nice, relaxed, beautiful and welcoming salon..... this is your place. PS... All of the employees there are amazing.
I Love it here!! It's totally worth the drive from Temecula to visit Sabastian. The salon vibe is so amazing everyone is so friendly! Every time I come in Sabastian helps me to figure out what I really want (between the 5 pictures i bring him lol) and my hair turns out exactly the way we discussed !! I totally used to have hair anxiety because other stylist would take what ever I said and do their own thing...Or even worse tell you after the fact that your hair is to dark or not the right texture to look like the picture you brought in... Not Sabastian! He tells you exactly the way it will look and that's how it turns out:) I get so many compliments on my hair I love this Salon and love love Sabastian! Thanks Victor Paul for creating such an amazing environment where we can come and feel relaxed and pampered !!xo

I recently had a first time and a great experience with Andrea! I came in for a quick haircut and highlights and she delivered!! She gave me the best haircut I've ever had as an adult and that's saying something haha. She also did gorgeous blonde highlights and they came out perfect. I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone looking to try someone new. I can't wait to come back. Thanks again Andrea! read more

Stylist: Ginger West Process: Haircut, deep conditioning, balayage, and style on naturally curly hair. + General: I read great reviews of Ginger West on yelp beforehand so I walked into the salon with positive expectations. They were exceeded. Ginger was extremely positive and had excellent insight into curly hair. My hair is thick and not always the easiest to handle, but she knew just how to cut it and color it. Like really -- she took a solid 5 hours to make sure the results were perfect. No joke, and well worth the time. + Specifics: I was unsure if I wanted to stick to my traditional highlighting or get balayage done. I asked Ginger for her opinion, and she recommended the latter. I'm glad she did. I've gotten SO MANY compliments on it since then. I initially walked out of the salon feeling like it maybe it was a little too *light, but I grew to love it within a day. + One note, she charged extra because of the amount of toner she had to use. I have really dark hair, and a lot of it, so I didn't mind. I just wish she had mentioned it earlier instead of tacking it on at the end. *I had asked her "How light can we go without making it look ridiculous?" read more

I went to Victor Paul Salon to have a balayage done by Rechelle Harper and I could not be happier with how it turned out! I LOVE MY HAIR! I was very hesitant because I do not get my hair dyed often but she was very helpful and understood exactly what I wanted. I felt so comfortable as she talked me through what she was doing to my hair and she continuously offered me refreshments and magazines. Rechelle was so friendly and I have already recommended her to friends and family. Gone is my two year old all over color and now my hair is beautifully blended. THANKS SO MUCH! read more

Wow, where do I start. I had read such great reviews for Ginger West. I bought a Groupon for full highlights, cut, shampoo and deep conditioning. I made my appointment, showed up and found out that Mel.. the receptionist made my appointment for only a hair cut. . Ginger was very sweet. She offered to wash and blow dry my hair for free. I said yes. I made another appointment for my hair cut, highlights that following week. I wanted to go a little darker blond. But, I think ginger had her mind set on with what she wanted to do?. Long story short... The highlights took 5 hours. It looked ok. Very ashy blond! The next day, my hair was super dry( didn't wash it) for a week! My Cashmere sweater I wore. Had bleach marks on the back. I called the salon... Spoke to a guy. He said he would have ginger call me back! She never did.. It's really sad that it didn't work out. I thought Ginger was a nice person, despite the imperfections. read more

I've been coming to this salon for over a year and absolutely love my stylist, Randy Coyote. He never disappoints and always makes me feel beautiful. I even hired him to to do my hair for my wedding! He's THAT good! I get my brows waxed by Amy Marie! Absolutely love her. She has a great personality and always does an amazing job. The salon books my hair and eyebrow appointment at the same time so it's convenient for me. The salon itself is very clean. All the stylists are friendly and they always make you feel at home. Whether it's a glass of water, cup of tea or a glass of wine.. they aim to please! I highly recommend! read more

Highlights and cut by Ginger West! Found this place on Groupon and after a lot of research and a lot of good reviews I decided to check it out. Full highlights custom made for my hair, wash, toner (to make it a colder tone), deep hair conditioning), cut and blowout! I'm soo happy with the results and I'm definitely coming back. Had to pay extra for the toner but totally worth it. Thank you for awesome service! read more

Best salon ever! Victor Paul is a passionate genius who only works with the best. I work with Selina (also creative director for the salon). She is not only super talent and travels the world working with celebrities and taking on massive wedding projects, she is also a beautiful, and kind person. She is my therapist, close friend, and hair guru. Every Time I'm in the salon, I'm in my luxurious getaway. read more

If I could go lower than one star I would!!! Got a referral from a great friend to see this hairdresser and was told he was great with blonde. I went in with normal expectations but never in a million years did I think I'd leave in tears. I went in with a warm tone to leave with black and yellow hair which than turned green! I cried for 3 hours and ended up in Pasadena with a color specialist to fix the damage. I had black all on the side of my scalp and face too! This is by far the worst hair experience I have ever had and believe me when I say I've had a few! Never ever would I recommend this salon to anyone! Not even my worst enemy. read more

I took my two daughters ages 5 and 17, both with a ton of hair. Joshua deep conditioned their hair and then thinned and cut their hair so perfectly! He was great! The salon is so cute and artsy with music playing and the receptionist is so helpful offering beverages and or snacks. Just an overall great experience!
