Made an appointment via Kimmi's website scheduler system. Received a text from her asking for $20 Venmo deposit with multiple texts reminding to confirm and remind me of the appointment. Her salon has a parking lot right behind the shop. I got there about 10-15 minutes early. The shop was still locked up and closed upon arrival. I called and texted her in case I am there the wrong time and day. No answer. She responded closer to the appointment time and showed up late. Zero apologies. Told me to just wait outside. Then rushed me to fill out forms that she never took a look at. Waivers and medical information and all. Not good. In my opinion, the person who showed up late and failed to open /unlock the entrance door should not be rushing the new customer who arrived early and waited patiently. I get it she has two young kids, lives 30 minutes away, has difficult living situation and all her relatives are back where she came from. So do a lot of immigrants. It put a bitter taste in my mouth while I got to hear about her struggle as an immigrant. I'm an immigrant too.....but I am also a customer. Just trying to get my lash lift and tint done on a Sunday late morning. Not play therapist because I can't use my phone. The quality of my lash lift is ok. She basically melted half my lashes because it got left on too long. It's bent and damaged. I just need to leave it alone for the next 60-90 days now. Gave her a 25% tip just out of good will but I doubt I'll be returning again. read more

Kim Kim Kim! Omg, thank you so much for YEARS of great experiences! I started going to Kim since before 2020- I'm very particular with the style I ask for. And I have only trusted Kim to get it right. I tried one more girl for sometime (elsewhere) but still always came back to Kim! I refuse to go to anyone new lol. She's so sweet, means well and professional. Oh and omg talk about quality work: she does what's best for my natural lashes, which I admire and respect very much. A lot of lash artist nowadays will overdo/ heavily do lash extensions without considering the state of one's natural lashes. So thank you Kim for always taking very good care of me. Tried lash extensions for my first time here. I got the recommended medium-length Classic Set ($79), which Cynthia arranged in a round shape to suit my eyes. I thought this was too long, so I switched out for a short length at my 3-week refill ($69) with Kimmi. Love this length on me, which is much more comfortable and has not fallen out as quickly as the longer set. Looking to try the thinner, more natural-looking lashes in the Hybrid or Volume Set next. read more

Took me a long time to find a lash tech after my tech move out of the state. I'm a real busy mom with two jobs I'm glade she can work around me. I never have to ask Kim or Cynthia what i want they are always on point. I like are little convos we have so I don't fall asleep and snore lol.. I went back and had Kim add hairstrokes onto my brows and had her do my eyeliner too. I love my lips, brows and eyeliner all done by Kim. I love how she walks you through everything and makes sure you're comfortable and not ever in any pain. It was so relaxing i fell asleep. I'm sending all my family and friends to her. My mother in law also did her brows, lips and eyeliner with Kim and she loved them. My aunt also did her lips with Kim. I'm booking for my mom to do her lips with Kim too. Thank you Kim! This was such an amazing experience! I had my eyebrows microbladed and permanent eyeliner make up done by KIM. Just like most girls my mood is define by how my eyebrows look that day LOL but I wanted a change and I chose the microblading option. I'm VERY picky and Kim took her time to explain everything to me. She made sure I was OK and explained every step of the way. When it was done I full on GASP! My eyebrows are beautiful and 1000% more confident! So I booked her in 2 days for my eyeliner to get done. I wanted to go as light and as natural as possible and Kim delivered. I actually slept most of the time through the whole procedure (I have 2 kids that don't sleep at night!) People ALWAYS ask me if I'm tired when I don't have my make up. Kim is THEE best!! I wanted a natural pink color to my lips because they normally look "dead" lol. I went to her about 4-5 years ago (recommended by a co-worker) and she did such an amazing job!! I came back a few months ago for a touch up and she did another fabulous job on my lips!! She also re-did my micro-blading on my eyebrows from 7 years ago (done by someone else) and my now brows and lips look fabulous again!! Kim is a professional perfectionist and explains everything she's going to do before hand so you know what to expect. She also shows you the packaged sterilized instruments she's going to use before she starts. And she gives a little take home kit for after procedure care. She's amazing and such a sweetheart!! I got a lash lift & tint and Cynthia (my lash tech) way over curled my lashes to the point they curl back into the crease in my eyelid. I asked the salon if I could get them relaxed and they told me they can't do that. I was fully refunded, but this was not worth my time, effort, and energy. I will not be going back. read more

If you are looking for a lash tech that does beautiful and careful work then Sugar lash is the place!!!!! I Love! love! love MY LASHES EXTENSION every-time. Kim does beautiful lashes and always does a great job with my mom's and I lashes! My mom has never gotten her lashes done this was the first time... SHE IS OBSESSED! My eyes are also very sensitive but she made sure to use sensitive lash glue and it made my experience with lash extensions better! I truly recommend this spot! read more

Brooke L. is the lash queen! She has been doing my lashes for almost two years now and they look flawless every single time! I don't think a day goes by when someone doesn't compliment them. KIM is AMAAAAZING!! I have been getting lashes for years, having to only remove them after 3 months and regrow the broken lashes by using Latisse. After meeting Kim this is no longer the case. I have been seeing Kim for over 2 years now and never had lash breakage and maintained healthy lashes. She does a special technique called "butterfly lash" where the lashes are sandwiched in by two lashes. this helps not only hold the lash but provides the most beautiful appearance of full lush lashes. Also, they look so natural I never look like a dragqueen! The previous places I've been are always either overdoing it or not adding enough lashes. Kim makes me so happy and my lashes last up to 3 weeks or more, it's insane. I also noticed she uses high-quality products, the lashes hold up and do not bend over time. Sugar lash is also extremtly clean, after COVID I have been so scared to go anywhere. When you walk into the office it smells so clean and fresh. I notice all implements are constantly being sanitized too. I honestly will not go anywhere else or trust anyone touching my face and eyes! On a side note, Kim is so relaxing and has the most professional bedside manners. She plays an app called "calm" during our sessions and it helps with my anxiety of having me close my eyes with tape for an hour (sometimes longer). No doubt about it, Kim is a master at the art of lashes extensions! With covid happening, Sugar lash beauty bar takes the utmost precautions to prevent the spread. They asked me covid prescreen questions, took my temperature before I entered, and had me wash my hands once I was inside. Masks are required the entire time btw. I'm VERY picky with my lashes, but usually give the lash artist 2-3 visits to get it right. Kim got it right on the first try! Already scheduled my next appointment and would highly recommend Kim to those looking for lash extensions. read more

Brooke has been doing my lashes for 6+ months now and is absolutely amazing! I've fallen asleep during my appointment a few times, or we chat like it ain't no thing. It's really relaxing and a calming, clean studio. Between hot yoga, traveling and hiking in the dirt, I've never had any issues with them falling out or any infections. I do clean them daily, which I'd highly advise! My in-between volume last up to 3 weeks, but I like them to look full so I'm usually there every 2 weeks or so. The front desk is great as well, and I always enjoy going there. Love this place and have recommended to strangers, friends and family. This is a double review! 1) Kim for my microblading - girl has it on point. So precise, so much attention to detail and the color last for so long. i've had other people who do microblading shocked and tell me that my eybrow retention is amazing! Plus Kim is so cute, easy to talk to and funny time flies. I have a high tolerance for pain so I would say it doesn't hurt that much. I got it during the special so it was such a great deal. I had mine done in October 2017, touchup in December. It still looks great. I'll probably go soon for a touch up only because I like my brows very dark! 2) Jessica for my eyelashes! I love her!! I would get the russian volume with a refill every 3 weeks. They last so damn long. They never fall out like rarely and I would treat my eyelashes pretty bad. Just rubbing them sleeping on my side but they still stay. I went on vacation / work trip for 2 months and I literally still had 1/3 of these lashes still there. I love her she's so cute and super nice too! Only thing is I live in LA so it's hard for me to come down every 3 weeks so I haven't come in a bit. But I would def recommend and I recommend all my friends or people that ask me where I've gotten my lashes or even my eyebrows done to this place!! Getting ready only takes like 10min now read more

I normally take a bottle of tea tree soothing lotion and slater it on in the car after Sugaring. I'm out of habit and forgot today so I was worried how my drive home was going to be. I worried for nothing, Brandy even did the deep breath in strong exhale moments for the tough spots without me even saying anything or asking for those pauses pre-lift. Her sugar was buttery soft and warm and she knew the right moment to change her ball.
