This has been our 2 year tradition spot for our girls secret Santa! We have a friend who lives in Colville so this is our "half way point" :) The Salty dog always has such great deals! I got a clam chowder cup that came with soup and bread for $10 - their chowder was so good! The vibe is very "log cabin" but it's great for friends and family. Very small town vibes. Their staff is very engaging and they check on you often:)

We returned to Salty Dog and I'm happy to report it's still just as good as our previous visit! The service is great, even when they're very busy. My husband ordered the Halibut and Chips, I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap and my daughter had the kids burger and fries. Everything was super fresh, no complaints. They have the best fries!

We used to love this place so much, just meh anymore. While the server was friendly, we didn't see her much. She did check to see how we were after the food was delivered and we asked for refills on drinks and ketchup. Neither ever showed up until I caught the drink girl and got a refill after the meal was finished. The wrap was very good and refreshing, the accompanying waffle fries were still mushy. The other side of the table enjoyed a French dip and said it was good. Same issue on the waffle fries. Oh, and the mozzarella sticks that used to be as good as house made, are just generic heated from frozen types now.

Heard great things about this place so my friend and I drove out to Deer Park to try it out. I ordered their fried oysters (delicious) with two pieces of halibut. The halibut was great, but it's no wonder they sell out of their oysters! Instead of fries, I ordered a bowl of clam chowder. My friend ordered their butterflied shrimp dinner. She said they were delicious. With her dinner, she also got a loaded baked potato, garlic bread, and instead of salad opted for clam chowder. The clam chowder was creamy and full of clams, it could've been warmer, but still had great flavor. Definitely worth the drive to Deer Park and we started planning our next visit.

My wife and I ate here a week ago; quaint place, friendly staff. We had fish n chips and a bacon cheese burger; both were good.

I travel in an RV all over the country and the halibut fish and chips at Salty Dog are how I rate all the others and none have compared.

Today's visit was no different and was deliciously fresh and yummy. I planned on getting a poke bowl and when I walked in, one of the specials of the day was a wasabi ahi tuna poke bowl...cha-ching! That's exactly what I got and with a side order of 2 crab cakes. The wasabi ahi tuna poke bowl was simple and fresh, yet packed with ahi tuna and the perfect amount of rice. Poke bowls are my go-to for a protein packed meal that's healthy and leaves me feeling full. Now the crab cakes!? If you've never tried them from here and you're a crab cake lover, then do yourself a favor and order some. They were perfectly cooked with a crisp outside and stuffed with a good amount of tasty fresh crab. The 2 sauces of my choice to go with the cakes are: traditional tarter sauce and then take your lemon slice and squeeze the juice on top and mix it in and the Cajun tarter sauce--it has great flavor with a little bit of spice. My pics don't do justice--the flavor is where it's at! My roommate got his favorite Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich with fries and he was a happy camper. I will say, their fries are authentic and actually taste like real potato. We arrived at lunch hour and the ambiance was definitely busy, which is normal. Service was great and food came out fairly quick. Every employee I saw stayed busy, either helping people, cleaning, or chef'ing it up.

The kitchen is also an open kitchen - how cool! The service staff are enthusiastic about the food and very polite. Both the food and cocktails are SO GOOD. I had some sort of spritz and it was super sweet. We split the mussels ($29), Market Fresh Fish (cod, $32), and the steak tartare ($22). The steak tartare is SUPER garlicky be forewarned, but really good. The mussels are huge and tasty, and the fish of the day was fresh and beautifully plated/cooked.

Our drinks were always full and she answered all our questions. She brought me beer samples to figure out which one I wanted. The waiter was busy but always greeted and said goodbye to all guests coming and going. Food 10/10 For the tablet we got calamari, the Durkins famous double cheeseburger and the fried bologna sandwich. The food was extremely fresh! The cheese was melted to perfection. We left with full bellies but not feeling heavy. The food was decadent but not greasy. My husband got a mocktail, spiced cranberry and it was fabulous! My husband and I can't wait to go back. We paid approximately $100 with tip, so it's not cheap, but WORTH IT for the quality of food and service.
