Went in for a simple extraction. After the dentist doing everything BUT extract my tooth burning through my yearly insurance benefits. $1700 later after his "assistant" dropped a tool chipping yet another tooth i was told he couldn't extract my tooth, that I needed an oral surgeon. $1700 for nothing. Drove down the street to Apex dental. Paid $97 out of pocket for a "simple extraction ". TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. All this dentist seems to do is eat your insurance.​ read more

Dr. Vahedi and his staff are amazing! It is hard to find a good doctor AND front office/assistants. I have always HATED going to the dentist, but Dr. Vahedi makes me feel comfortable in coming in. Whenever I go, I am treated politely and respectfully. The staff remember who you are you can tell you are more than just a patient to them. They are able to conversate with you on your life and not just your teeth. Last time, Dr. Kim did a deep cleaning and his service was amazing too. He was very honest and gentle. The doctors also treat the rest of their staff with kindness and respect like with their patient. Making appointment is easy and do not have to wait for weeks or months. I had a very strange and negative experience at Salud Dental. I came in for a dental exam and full set of x-rays. My "exam" was conducted by a surly dentist who didn't even look inside my mouth! She only consulted my "full set" of x-rays, quickly told me I needed a deep cleaning, and left the room. She literally spent about 2 minutes with me. I tried to stop her in order to ask some quesitons, but she did not stay, and when I asked to speak to the dentist some more, the clerk told me to relay my questions to her and that she would pass on the communiation to the dentist. The answers I received were inconclusive and I was pressured to again sign up for the deep cleaning. I was informed that they do not offer any sort of dental cleaning other than the deep cleaning (which is $$$). secondly, the "full set" of x-rays was just 1 x-ray - a wide shot of my entire mouth, with no detail. When I attempted to use these x-rays when making a new appointment with a new dentist, they informed me that this x-ray could not be used, was not diagnostic, and was in no way considered a "full set." my entire experience at Salud Dental was a waste of time. I have no idea where these 5 star reviews are coming from. read more

Dr.Kim was very informative when it came to cleaning and his staff helped me with my payment plans and resolution. I would highly recommend them! The front administrative staff earned a star! They speak over you and do not explain products, procedures and process to you (customer). When treatment case is handed to you (customer) miss coded, and you (customer) ask for clarification you (customer) are accosted by another employee. Each time I (customer) called the office, person answering phone would speak over me (customer) and put me (customer) on hold several times. All I (customer) wanted was to make an appointment.... If your time is invaluable, average wait to be seated in examination chair is 30 mins! Customer service is not a priority for this dental office...... My review for the dentist that treated me is 4 stars, he was informative and thorough! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Sammy and Dr.Vahedi at this location ever since they opened. If you live or work in the downtown Los Angeles area this is the Dentist you should go see. The office is completely renovated, the wait time is short and plenty of parking in the street. The doctors and staff are very nice and knowledgeable. They will work with you on a payment plan to make sure you walk out feeling great. If you are looking for an honest dentist that truly cares about your smile and teeth go see Salud Dental. Negligence. This review has less to do with front desk service (which is usually pretty good) and everything to do with the main dentist. I went in for fillings this weekend, and to my surprise, the dentist who I am guessing knows more about health than I do was sick. He was sneezing, coughing, and sniffling the entire time his hands were in my mouth. I was disgusted, but hoped once he finished, the procedure would be over and I'd never come back again. Instead, I've had to request two sick days from my job because of a sore throat and a debilitating headache (which I imagine comes from being sick as well as the procedure). Although the dentist was "nice," his attitude does not make up for his negligence. read more

Came here with a lot of pain from impacted wisdom teeth. I waited for two hours to be seen even though I had an appointment. I though we'd schedule the surgery for later but the dentist urged me to get them done right away. I had a panic attack and the doctor was very dismissive. I told him I didn't want to go through with it because I was scared of the pain during the extraction and the next few days. He assured me he would give me something for the pain. HE LIED. When he was working on me I kept screaming in pain and he just kept going. After I got out of the traumatic extraction they told me I wasn't getting any medication for the pain. Now it's a day later and I'm absolutely miserable. What kind of doctor lies to your face like that? No wonder people hate dentists. This was the worst experience of my life. read more

I'm very terrified of the dentist and I've been avoiding it for some time now and after very terrifying experience when I was young. I tried my best to avoid the dentist until I got a massive toothache last month. I was referred here by one of my friends that was super satisfied by the way she was treated and mentioned that I go see them. I called their office and I was given a same day appointment to have my tooth looked at. Since I didn't have insurance they offered me a free dental X-ray and Examination. Later that day I went in with my toothache and as soon as they saw me in terrible pain the Dr. Vahedi asked them to let me in the back right away to see what was going on. The staff was very sweet and caring, very gently the took a few X-rays from my mouth and Dr. Vahedi immediately walked in to see why I was in so much pain. After looking at my X-rays Dr. Vahedi let me know that I have a very large cavity that has reached the nerve and he needed to perform a Root Canal to relieve the pain. Since I was in pain he felt very bad and asked I needed some anesthesia so that I can pay better attention. With very gentle hands and caution he had me numb, I had no idea if he even gave me a shot. I was so surprised to have someone numb me like that. Anyways, I was given the cost for my treatment which was pretty fair, then I was taken to the treatment room to have my Root Canal started. I've had a root canal before but non like this. Dr. Vahedi was super sweet and nice, he worked gently and and make sure I was comfortable at all times. My molar root canal to about 45 min from beginning to end, and I didn't feel a thing. They even upgraded the crown for my molar to "Metal Free" aka Zirconia without additional cost. I highly recommend Salud Dental to everyone, they are great. Thank you Dr. V for changing my mind about dentists. read more
