The doctor is very compassionate and takes the time to explain everything and make sure you understand what is needed. George is also so nice and patient. Weaponized Sloppiness. Horrific. Both myself and my daughter were mortified at the desperation. My daughter described a multi level sales scheme that involved a bogus VIP membership, hundreds of dollars in product gimmicks, and more than $20k in upsells. I tried to extend the benefit of the doubt. My experience was similarly disappointing**. Further, the dentist (Dr. Hanel?) was the worst one. I already had aligners; daughter had braces. Great experiences with former providers. Thought we might switch to a closer location than previous provider, but this all turned out to be a colossal waste of time. Oh, they did provide a 3D scan with Xrays, but my main dentist said most of it was poorly done and difficult to read which means that not only do we have to commute a longer distance for quality care but I'll now have to sit through all that again. Note to provider: Be mindful of HIPAA in your response. **Informed consent doctrine (Cobbs v. Grant, 8 Cal.3d 229). California requires that patients be informed of all reasonable treatment alternatives, not just the one the provider prefers. Also worth noting: Chart failed to meet AAP documentation standards for treatment staging. This kind of weaponized sloppiness is what separates the newly licensed (recent grad, less than 3yrs for CA) from the seasoned professional. read more

Staff knows you by name, facility clean and up to date, and the woman dentist here is very patient and explains what she is doing while she is doing it. It's very helpful in calming my anxiety. Ive been coming here for years for my oral care and Dr Mungcal was able to pinpoint some oral issues were rooted in misalignment so I also get orthodontic care. Love the staff. read more

I had not gone to a dentist in years because of my fear of the pain. My bottom wisdom tooth became unbearable so I began my search for a dentist. Somehow I found Downtown Dental. I texted for months with them before I even went to the consultation. What won me over was the office is right near my home and easy free parking. The technology alone is so amazing, very minimal pain. Dr. Hanel is also very amazing. She is so knowledgeable, caring and very professional. She cares about the patients well being, asking if I was alright through out the procedures. I had a deep cleaning, 3 wisdom teeth extracted and soon I will begin the Invisalign treatment. I really like the office environment, it's very clean and organized, and the staff there are all very friendly and warm. I scheduled my dental cleaning and had the best-fastest deep cleaning I've ever had (I didn't had a habit of dental cleaning, but I did have a deep cleaning a while back).
