Terrible place. Their products and methods don't work. It's all a hoax. I went there on a deal I purchased via groupon for a six session deal. First of all, the schedule is always a problem, they never answer the phone and I was never given any info about the best way to achieve results. When I explained to the owner it wasn't working, he showed me their brochure and tried to get me to buy more services while claiming it works in combination with other services totaling to $500. Seriously? No! They should have mentioned that before I spent any money. Save your money, don't go here! read more

I give 4 stars and I will tell you why.... After comparing the two offers on groupon, the best one for me was the laser lipo. So I ordered 6 sessions for $140 (my right side of my love handles is bigger than the left side so I wanted mostly that done). I called and please note: THE GIRL ON THE PHONE WILL TELL YOU TO CALL BACK AT 4:30 WHEN THE ONE WHO SCHEDULES THE APPOINTMENTS COMES IN....this is caps for a reason, since I read the other reviews I am at my 4th session and I see results, I am also on the Atkins diets so it helps because the women who does the session will tell you not to eat no carbs, sugars or fruits. Just meat and some vegetables. NOW! You must choose ONE, yes ONE area, luckily for me it was my love handle area, so it's around my waist...so please choose your area wisely because they will focus on that side only. I need more sessions, and they also recommended other services I am willing to try when I have the money, but I won't do the colon cleansing...my own personal reasons. The reason why I give it 4 stars is that the place is in a house....my HS is down the street and I remember a family use to live here lol Secondly the wait time, I have an 11am appointment but I am seen almost at 12 all the time, I go on my day off so I will let that slide. Third reason they need have more specific details in their groupon, but only I am getting my area done so it's not really a complaint. Lastly the payment plans, the skin tightening and something else they offered me I might as well just pay in full, there was a special for both of $1100, they wanted a down payment of $700, saying it was 16% down payment.....I know my math, it concerned me how off she was lol There are a lot of Spanish people who can't speak good English here but I guess that's how they get people but not me. Overall I am pleased with my results, but if you want a more professional looking place with more English speaking people etc, this place isn't for you. I bought a Groupon for 2 sessions of colon hydrotherapy for 69 dollars. They scheduled the first session which was not the most pleasant experience. It was extremely uncomfortable and painful. The liquid that is pushed up inside of you makes your stomach so crampy. I kept calling the nurse because i wanted to stop and she kept telling me the pain was normal. So my boyfriend bought me a session to do the colonic hydrotherapy and I was very excited to do it since I had it done to me once before an another location with great success and satisfaction. When I first entered the room for my session, it had a very nice ambiance and the clinic assistant seemed very nice and explained how the treatment will go. The treatment was very different from the one I had originally at another facility. The lady stated that I had to insert the tube into my anal myself and set myself on the bed as I felt comfortable. She then would turn on the machine with the recommended settings. Well so to make the story short, there was no water being entered into my body. As I told the assistant that there was nothing coming in or out, she didnt even bother to look or examine what could be wrong. I sat there for 40 min. for nothing! As the owner came in the room to start my boyfriend's procedure, I had explained to him what had occurred with my session. He didn't bother to do anything to satisfy me as a customer. I've received 5 treatments so far. I'm not sure why people are bashing on this place, they have a nice setup in their waiting area and the treatment rooms are relaxing. I get a call every Monday to schedule my next appointment time since Saturdays work best. Only had to wait extra one time and that was my first treatment when I had to setup my account and file papers, after wards I have been seen within 10 minutes of arriving even when I was early one day. After calling like 10 times I went in person to set an appointment and the lady that was there couldn't make it for me because she didn't know how to work the computer. I bought a group on for choice of facial or massage. Kept calling for about 3 weeks never got an answer or call back. The one day I called and made the appointment the person on the phone did not understand English very well and I had to repeat my name 6 times. I asked her why they never returned my call and she just answered "oh okay" really ???? I show up and they tell me: " the woman who does the facials and massages had to go back home to her country and will be back at some point next month". They didn't really care or apologies I asked them why they didn't call me to notify me and they said they didn't have me in their book. Very unprofessional place. I bought some coupons from groupon and now I can't do my appointment they pick my phone but no answer from them I'm so sad.

I was told I needed to wait two weeks being that I was a groupon customer. They took my groupon code on the phone. When I got to the place I was asked for the groupon printed for proof of purchase. I was not told this and was not able to access my groupon. After a half hour of trying to find proof of my groupon on my cell receptionist says she will give me service. What was the point in taking grroupon on the phone? I waited 45 minutes to be called for a twenty minute procedure. Another women said she waited an hour and a half before she was called. The wait is absolutely ridiculous. Procedure seemed fine. They rarely pick up to schedule an appointment as well. Two friends went there as well and had the same poor experience. I am only putting 5 stars so my comment can be seen. However, DO NOT GO TO SALUD SPA IN THE BRONX!! They are horrible at customer service and aren't accommodating to their clientele. I was a new customer that took almost 2-3 months before I could even get an appt. I have a Groupon I purchased and one was gifted to me for a spa day. They refused to allow me to do my full spa day on one day and insisted I had to break it up into 2 days. Then I explained I do not live close by and I have to commute all the way from Queens. The girl on the phone again refused to assist me and try to work something out. Finally when I scheduled my appt, which was yesterday afternoon, I was running a little late so I called to inform them I was still coming but would be slightly late. She told me that I could still come, but 2 of the services that were apart of my spa package could not be done because if I'm late then it would throw her schedule off. Nonetheless, I arrived for my "spa day", which by this point I was no longer looking forward to. Upon my arrival, the girl behind the desk who also claims to be the manager and was oddly enough the only one there did not greet me in a nice manner or tried to help me. She looked my appt up and said "We are gonna have to reschedule you" you are 30 minutes late". I explained I called and told her I was running late and you told me to still come. If that was the case I could have rescheduled over the phone and not even bother wasting my time, gas and energy. I asked to speak to someone else and that's when she said she was the only one there and she was the manager. That pissed me off so badly, I just told her to forget it and I will never come back there. FYI....the place was completely empty. Not one other customer or client being serviced or waiting to be seen. Absolutely unacceptable and poor business people. She does not deserve my patronage or money. Purchased a Groupon (like most others reviewing this place) and called to make an appointment. I was asked for the Groupon Voucher #, my name, and my phone number and was told "the girl who does the scheduling will call back." I waited 24 hours, called the next day, asked if I can speak to the person to make the appointment but was told that they would leave her a message to get back to me but here was no guarantee. I reviewed the company's reviews on here and after not liking what I read, I canceled the Groupon. It seems that, for something of this nature, where it is considered a "Local Deal" through Groupon, when you are only allowed 3 days to cancel, Salud Spa is aware of that and by holding out on making appointments, they collect the money for the services that do not get rendered. I have also logged a formal complaint with Groupon against this company. read more

Not happy! The groupon is highly misleading and does not specify to "pick 1 area." I purchased the ultrasound lipo treatments. I read the ad 4 times to be certain and it does not say choose thighs, or tummy, or hips, for example. I told the woman to focus on my lower body and she said one area only. I explained that this was not what the ad said. She shrugged and told me again I have to choose only 1 area. I was not happy. She was unprofessional and asked me what I was planning to do becaue she had other customers waiting. I asked her what was her expertise and qualification to perform these services. First sign of unprofessional and "ghetto" they give you the gown but stand right there. I go to Bliss regularly and they give you the gown, exit (so you can change), knock on the door, then reenter. Anyhow, she seemed uncomfortble with me questioning her. She did tell me she was an aesthetician though. She left again and came back with Dr Jiminez, which is a dead give away that something was wrong if she was so unsettled by my very basic questions. Of course, when you are having some kind of treatment done to your body, you would ask the person's qualifications right?? In any case, he said "I'm Dr Jiminez, I'm here to answer your questions." I basically told him what I told her, that the ad is misleading. Long story short, he did not disagree or dispute what I said and said he would give me a refund. I call groupon and had a problem because they told me Salud redeemed the groupon. Omg! what kind of ghetto, fake spa is this?After a few weeks, Salud finally reimbursed me. Not sure who you people are but I was so scared to visit this place. I had the complete opposite experience for starters it was extremely easy to schedule an appointment there is someone at the desk most of the time, even when I called to confirm my appointment there was no problem the receptionist was the sweetest lady ever. The location is not a location that you would expect for colonic it's on a Main Street not very peaceful or holistic however the room where all the magic happens is very quiet and comfortable and clean. I was a bit disappointed that my session ended so abruptly I still had water in my $&@ and the clinician was trying to sell me more sessions but I don't consider them money hungry and I would probably go back again not sure I want to compare my services to another establishment because this was my first session ever read more

I purchased from Groupon to go to this spa, I called 2 weeks ago and requested for that saturday for an appointment and was told that they are booked and could not see me so I requested the following Saturday and mentioned that I had a groupon voucher. The man which I come to find out is the owner gave me the appointment for Saturday at 11am and asked what my groupon number is which I gave. Now I wake up Saturday of my appt go to the spa and I get there and the man ask for me to take a sit. When he asked for me fill out a form I give him my voucher he says O no we don't take the voucher on Saturdays but I inform him that a man took my appt and asked for my voucher. Now he tells me that he is the only man that takes the calls and he would have never given me the appt. He said the woman that does the session doesn't accept the voucher on Saturdays. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! My husband purchased a Laser Lipo treatment from Groupon for me for my birthday and I went to use it in April. I didn't have a problem scheduling an appointment and the lady at the front desk was very polite and professional. However, after the "treatment" (which consisted of my laying on an examination table and having some things placed all over my stomach to emit laser rays) I was told that I had to go on a strict diet. Nothing sugary including fruits, no carbs, drink plenty of water, wear a waist trainer and go to the gym everyday. Plus I was told in order to really see any results I would need a total of 10 treatments. But if you think about it, I'm now apparently on a no sweets and no carbs diet, I'm working out at the gym daily now as instructed and I'm drinking a lot of water while also wearing a waist trainer.... What exactly is the Laser Lipo doing for me if I'm gonna be losing fat from diet and exercise alone? I think the whole thing is a scam. I think the machine they put on me was just timed to make me think it did something. If you go, they're gonna talk a good game in explaining how the whole thing works but if you have common sense, you'll see why this is a scam. Avoid this place at all cost. I bought a Groupon voucher for two non surgical laser lipo sessions at Salud. The first one was fine I have no complaints. The second one was terrible. The woman who has suppose to be doing the session was also servicing another women at the same time. Which meant that she was not paying careful attention to me. When the session was finished I noticed that I had a series of small circular marks on my stomach. I asked her what they were and she replied that it was normal and would fade in a few days . I was referred here by one of my friends and the fact that a Groupon deal was available for me to try their services made me very optimistic however, I am not only appalled at the treatment of the staff but disgusted. I have called numerous times as per the directives on their website and on Groupon to no avail. I left messages and even sent a Facebook message on hopes of being able to schedule an appointment. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, since I live in the area, I stopped by to make an appointment in person. I waited over 15 minutes before I was greeted. The man who came out only after I walked around in search of someone was rude, nasty and disgusting. I have never in my life been spoken to or treated in such a way for simply wanting to make an appointment. He told me to leave because I said I did not have much time left on the meter and was in a rush after waiting 20 minutes to be greeted and that I had no right to comment on their lack of response. The lengths I had to go to book the service is unnecessary. The space looks more like someone's home then an actual office or spa. I'm just really disappointed because I was going to gift some of their services to my friends since it is local but instead I am writing this review and still looking for alternative ideas. This place is full of lies ... The technician that does the procedures isn't licensed , the Dr and his Wife hire regular people and teach them how to do everything but they tell there employees to lie to the customers and tell them that they have a license. The towels on the beds get reused every time the most they change is the tissue paper .... The shirts they use are all reused you can tell because some are worn out ...The certificates on the wall are under some woman's name who doesn't work in the place ... Lisa ( the doctors wife ) is rude !!! she swears because she owns a business you are no better then her . The doctor and his wife argue all day long sometimes so loud the customers can hear . I've been going to the center for a few weeks now and I would highly recommend it. Unlike some of the other reviews, I found it to be quite clean, albeit the bathroom is not great. But most importantly, my experience has been that all of the staff there have been so nice, including the receptionists and the technicians. There is a lot of parking nearby as well and it's in a good area of the Bronx, off of Pelham Parkway. And even more importantly, it's working for me, yea, unlike VelaShape that I had tried last year. My first experience with Salud was so-so. It seemed clean and the gentleman that assisted me seemed very nice. The place is really small, however, and the location makes it hard to spot. I purchased a second Groupon b/c I don't turn down deals. My biggest issues were: 1. When I attempted to call and set up an appointment it took forever to get in contact with someone. 2. When I finally got in contact with the reservationist I explained to her that I was using a Groupon and it was my second time doing so. She proceeded to take my reservation. I didn't have my Groupon printed out so she told me to call back when I was able to give her the Groupion number. When I called back I was told that reservations were only made between the hours of 3pm and 7pm, which was strange b/c I had begun my reservation process earlier in the day. The reservationist called me back and set my appointment. She then called me back moments later to tell me that my Groupon was already used. I explained that I just purchased it and I was going to get my money back b/c there was no restriction against it in the small print. She then decided to make an "exception" for me. My first impression of this place was very bad the day my friend called to make our appointments. She tried calling several times & no one answered the phone & after leaving messages she did not receive a call back. After her failed attempts, I tried to schedule our appointments. I was told the person who does the scheduling does not come in until 4 pm so I will have to call back then. I called back & there was no answer. Finally I called a few days later and spoke to someone. Our appointments were schedule for 10 am and 11 am. I met my girlfriend and we drove from CT to the Bronx and to our surprise they were CLOSED!!!. On their website the hours for Saturday are 9 am to 7 pm (we got there at 9:45 am). I was extremely disappointed that they were not opened and immediately called Groupon and was issued a credit!!! I wish I had read some of these reviews before I even made my purchase!!! Please do not give this business your money the sooner they close down the sooner someone else can open up a business that has better customer service. I purchased a groupon deal for a Colonic Hydro treatment and infrared massage. It was my first time to do a Colonic Hydro treatment.The place is basic and clean. The lady who helped me explained the procedure and made me feel comfortable. She was pleasant.Even though it's suggested that four cleansing treatments would be best. I was not pressured into purchasing a package.Information is offered what packages are available on a flyer when you check in for your appoitnment.I still have a infrared massage.The owner will not book both appointments. Once you do your first treatment and you ar done you can make the next appointment.I don't think I would do a treatment unless it was offered as a special discount price.The experience was fine and I felt great after the treatment. Before you leave they give you a bottle of water and a few packages of electrolyte tables to rehydrate. Would I go there again? Yes I would. If they have a special I would not hesitate. read more

This is a very unprofessional establishment. After my husband bought me a Groupon for Salud! I looked up their reviews & saw they were not good. I decided that I'd still go & form my own opinion. I spoke to a man a few times before visiting the "salon" & he seemed to have a permanent attitude. I wondered why they had this man as the receptionist only to find out the man on the phone was the Doctor/Owner. On the phone he said that I would not be able to get all the services on my Groupon at once, but I'd be able to get them at a later date, as long as it was before it expired. He set my 2nd appointment 2 days later, which was the day of expiration. When I got my first service, (refreshingly) there was a nice woman at the desk who said there was no 2nd appointment set for me. Its a good thing I checked before leaving since I live in CT & this place is in Bronx NY. I told her the guy said I had to do it before it expired, and she said I was fine because they are redeeming the whole Groupon on my first visit so she gave me an appointment for the day following expiration. What's worse is there seems to be only 2 or maybe 3 rooms that they have to do their services, and it was apparent that they booked 4 people at the same time. They cut my service short and had their next appointment walk in the room I was in, to start her services, as I was getting my things together so I could leave. I couldn't even get all of the services that were paid for on my Groupon, and the Doctor informed me that I would not be able to come back for the rest of the services either. He doesn't know how to treat customers & I'm very upset about my experience there. I could go on & on about how uncomfortable I was during my first service, and what happened, but then this would be an essay. I'll just say that I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
