The ladies here are kind and friendly. They provide massage packages and acupuncture packages that might help with pricing. It can be a little costly after a couple of sessions but definitely worth it. The office does take some medical insurance but not all so please confirm with front desk if you qualify. Absuletly scamming professionals. I bought Groupon coupon . During the reservation, they required me with credit card reservation and they refuse to reserve only with the voucher that I paid 38.00. I refuse to give them credit card account because I pay Groupon for it. Groupon is part of this scamm. I make it clear that they can take the Groupon code and if I don't show up they can submitted as payment. They refuse to take any reservation without credit card. If they selling you coupon through Groupon ,why they need to hold credit card so they can start charging you other scamming fee. A wellness gem in Bronx, NY. I have been a member of the wellness program for over 2 yrs. My membership allows me 2 hours of monthly service. I use 1 for acupuncture and the other for a body massage with a concentration on whichever body part I need or the whole body. Depending on my preference and the wellness team's availability, I have even done both wellness services on the same day. I can speak from experience. I had an underwhelming massage with marquis. He did not come to get me until a few minutes after my massage was supposed to start yet ran out of the room the second the clock struck the reservation's scheduled end time. My body did not feel relaxed or any better during, immediately after or the next morning. Based on the reviews here I will be sure to ask for Brandy if I ever come back to this place. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because I had a heroine addict giving me a massage. She would fall asleep on my back often during the massage, I would move to wake her back up, she would then breath heavy and start the massage again, when she would stop adding pressure, I knew to she was dozing off again. Unreal, but no kidding my yelpers. The strangest experience I've ever had during a massage. I was embarrassed to mention anything to her or the owner since after all she is trying to make an honest living dispite it all. I however am sure the owner/manager is aware of this. The minute you see her 2 things will come to mind, she's disable or on heroin. Disable is fine with me but a heroine addict NOPE. BTW, this isn't a relaxing "spa" setting. I received a Groupon for a 60 minute massage at the Bronx Wellness Center. I made the appointment with ease, but as a disclaimer, you have to pay the tax (taxes aren't included in the Groupon price, so bring $4 extra bucks) and they also have a 24 hour cancellation policy otherwise you lose your massage. The office is small but the massage rooms are private and separate. The massage table was heated, which made it very cozy. Nonetheless, my masseuse was Brandy. And to get to the point, she was fantastic. She asked about my problem areas, and then went to work when the massage began. I've had a few massages, and I think she combines deep tissue with another softer variation. But as someone who always opts for the deep tissue, her style was a pleasant surprise. She gave me a full body massage and I left feeling invigorated and not too sore. My problem area, my shoulders and upper back are tender but I feel so much more comfortable now. I would definitely see Brandy again. The only downside, when I checked in for my appointment, the front desk was on the phone taking a personal call- a little tacky as I could hear her entire conversation. WORST MASSAGE EVER. I bought this Groupon after having a long week and I really needed to relax. When I got there it was a makeshift room with things on plastic chairs and it smelled disgusting. The masseur (Francis) if I would even call her that did a horrible job. She was barely rubbing my back and had attitude when I asked her if she can use more pressure. After a minute of her using more pressure she went back to the barely rubbing my back and then she use her elbows to dig into my spine and no matter how many times I told her it hurts she kept doing it. By the end of the massage I needed my migraine medication and I refused to leave a tip. I was and still am so upset. She definitely did not know what she was doing and I honestly could have done a better job.... at massaging my damn self. So be wary of buying Groupons from this place ANDDDD ever going to this place. read more

She asked me if I wanted her to focus on a specific place, but I didn't so I told her to do as she saw fit if she felt tension. The amount of pressure was perfect I never had to tell her to it was too much or not enough. She was very swift with her motion. I could tell she knew her swedish strokes very well, and can I mention that her hands are HEAVENLY SOFT! When I got up I instantly noticed that she had worked out the tension I came in with in my neck and shoulders. I have been coming here for the last year, and I couldn't be happier. I see Brian for acupuncture, he has performed miracles on my extremely problematic back/neck. I have gone to him with 2 pinched nerves , and he helped me more than anything else I've tried (I have tried everything you can think of). I started with a Groupon for a massage at BCW and have been going literally for YEARS. I just read a review that the managers are scammers? Couldn't be farther from the truth! This is a privately owned business with amazing customer service! Asking for a deposit on a massage is basic/routine...especially if you're familiar with spas or esthetician services. The Bronx needs more professional places like this. I also love the promotional emails that link directly to the portal where you can book your appointment; saves the time of calling repeatedly to see what's available (very convenient for a very busy woman such as myself). Rooms are extremely clean and staff is very friendly. You can't even hear the 6 train despite the office being right under the tracks. And don't even get me started on the review stating a massage therapist under the influence fell asleep on them...‍ I love everyone there but I highly recommend Brian, Albert or Robert for acupuncture. I went to the center with a groupon deal and I would definitely recommend it to those who are skeptical about it, my masseuse Mateo was very informative and educated me a lot on the eastern medicinal treatments such as acupuncture. Mateo is a very easy going person who also had a very good sense of humor and works exactly on what your main issue is (mine was lower back pain due to military training).
