Went for a massage 5 months pregnant. I was given a gift card which I didnt know had an expiration date and was expired. The gift card was for 100$. They refused to accept the gift card. I am 5 months pregnant and (still) in very achy. I needed my back, traps and neck cared for. I explained I preferred a deep massage, which was a rub. I asked several times for the massuse to push harder or apply more pressure but i dont think she understood. Luckily someone came in and assisted which made the experience more enjoyable. I was placed on the wall where people were constantly coming in and out the door kept opening water was running and then shutting (it was quite noisy). I wont be returning. read more

Relaxing and clean, this is the place for a serious and effective foot & back massage. For decades, I've had chronic foot soreness and pain and when I leave here I feel like I am walking on air. And when I forget I'm getting older and overdo it at the shop, these amazing people work the knots out. I just left today from a back & foot massage and when I told her about the lower right neck pain, she made sure to focus on it and an hour later, the pain is gone Almost as wonderful as the relief are the prices which are very affordable. Parking is street meters and spots within a block are usually available but arrive a few minutes earlier to make sure you find a spot. I've been coming here at least 1x/week since May and can't imagine not returning. Highly recommended. Update: they just installed upgraded massage beds which are a nice improvement. read more

Made a first time reservation. On that one phone call, I asked/specified THREE times that I wanted a male, not female, massage therapist. The response each of those three times was that was fine, no problem. The woman on the phone even repeated back to me, male therapist. Her English was fine, or at least good enough that there was no language barrier her to blame. When I arrived on time for my appointment, I was shown to a cubicle, etc. When therapist showed up, she was female, NOT male. The presumed manager/?owner then said they don't have any male massage therapists, along with a sort of nervous giggle. So I left. What a waste of my time. The misrepresentation was unacceptable. I will never go again. Their female therapists may be outstanding, but that's not the point here. DO NOT GO HERE. This place used to be good and then QUICKLY deteriorated. The customer service is horrible and rude. I asked the lady to please message accordingly and just like that another lady came in and started to message me very roughly and hard. This was because she was angry and my entire skin is sore. Nobody apologized, nobody asked anything and I've been here a few times already. I don't ever speak up but I had to and the owner was not ok with me speaking up. And they of course expect a tip, I gave the lady $10 out of the kindness of my heart but please don't waste your time and money. I will never return here. read more

I paid for an hour body and foot massage. What I got in return was a body and foot RUB. I told them to only do my back and my feet, that's it. Of course the lady who worked on me decided to still do an entire body massage (which took away from the two areas that were hurting me the most). As I'm leaving I offer a $6 tip (because I wasn't completely thrilled with the service) and the lady hands it back to me! "It's has to be a $10 minimum because we only accept 20% gratuity" This is my pet peeve. To give subpar service and then demand high gratuity (aka something that is meant to be something given freely for exceptional service) is crazy to me. I gave two stars because they were friendly and the place was clean. But I doubt I'll return. My neighbor recommended this spot to me. I'm so glad I went! I did a 60 min. full body massage & I feel so relaxed. Niko did my massage. I asked her to be hard and focus on my shoulders/neck. Her hands are very strong and she even gave me a hot stone rub down. The place is very clean. The staff are lovely. Parking on the street, pay in quarters. Really confused with all these glowing reviews. I knew going in that I wasn't going to find a fancy spa. I knew this was one of those no frills Asian massage places...but what I was anticipating was a clean establishment and a great massage, and they did not deliver. Prices were reasonable but I found my "masseuse" to be sub par to say the least. They take walk ins but I called that morning and booked a 45 min body rub and a 15 min face and head massage for a total of 60 min. What I got was a sorry excuse for a body rub, coupled with a quick foot rub and a 20 second head rub... and that's exactly what they do- rub! No massages going on here.. no techniques, no pressure, just rubbing of the skin in circular motions or back and forth-It was terrible. The only redeeming part of this experience was the hot stones they used to rub my back with towards the end. My masseuse was not very friendly-didn't ask me if there were any parts I wanted her to focus on...didn't ask if I liked the pressure.. nothing! I told her 2x to please use more pressure and she did for about 2 minutes and then gave up. She also kept leaving the "room" at least 5 times to go grab stones and dirty towels. Let me explain the dirty towels... she kept using, what felt like, damp towels throughout the service. It was actually grossing me out. They felt damp and used. Turns out in the end of the massage, when she left the "room" and I was changing, I looked over at the table and saw these towels- they were disgusting! They looked so dirty and worn out. Once I saw those towels I couldn't wait to get home and shower! When I went to pay, the manager I believe, checked me out. She was friendly and offered water and took 10% off my bill cause I was a first time customer. My bill came out to $49, but since i was paying with my debit card she charged me an extra $3 for tax. It came out to $52. The lady who "massaged" me was standing by the counter area. It was so obvious she was just waiting there for her tip. I always tip, even if I really didn't enjoy the service. I read some of the reviews beforehand about how they are with tips there so I still made sure I tipped 20%. I also use to work for tips when i was in college so I know all about the importance of getting a fair tip. So I gave her two $5 bills for a total of $10. She had the audacity to check the money I handed over to her right in front of my face (rude!). Just by the expression on her face it almost seemed like she was expecting more than $10 (which baffles me..why on earth would I tip her more than 20%?) She gave me a weird look as i was walking out the door. I wish I asked her for her name this way I can let you all know who to NOT ask for if you decide to come here... I was really hoping to like this place. I was looking for an alternative to those super expensive Westchester day spas. I wanted to have a place to go to once every few weeks for a no frills, inexpensive, but GOOD massage. Between my "masseuse" having no real skill, her weird attitude about the tip I left her, and the fact that this place is GRIMY and reuse damp towels on god only knows how many times a day on different people.. I won't be coming back! ...and I was highly considering giving this place one more try before I posted a review, but after thinking about my experience all day, I decided that sanitary conditions exceeds all, and this place should get fined by the health department. How some people think this place is clean just baffles me...but I guess we all don't have the same standards when it comes to hygiene... One extra star cause this place is inexpensive.. but is it fair to say that I wish I can get my $62 back?? A Sunday -- in September 2013. I just got back home from a GREAT week-long vacation to the West Coast. We visited (walking and driving around) so many wonderful places! After a short chat, "Nancy" gave me the most FABULOUS 30-minute full-body massage that I've ever had!! She was a professional, asking often if various parts of the rubdown was painful --while COMPLETELY rubbing out and loosening up my tight, tense aches/pains (a very tight "knot" of pain in my left shoulder ... up and down my neck ...all over my lower back ... and the area of my right hip). Great massage for a great price! One hour full body massage is $55 (not including tip); they actually massage you for the full 60mins. They offer foot massages as well, I believe there were two recliner chairs for that. It is a deeper massage with good pressure. They also used hot stones at the end. The rooms are individual but more like room dividers in a larger room. So you do have privacy, but can definitely hear other clients entering, moving around etc. Overall great experience ! read more

This is the second time i have had a really crappy worthless massage from a woman who appeared to not know what she was doing. Used to come here all the time as my office is in pelham and was satisfied but its gone downhill. When it first opened they had an unbelievably good massage therapist named ben but he went back to china. May be inexpensive but no longer worth it. I sm sorry. Let me start by saying, the foot massage itself was very good. However, the customer service was beyond terrible. My friend and I had a 3:30 appointment. We arrived a few minutes late due to parking (which was almost impossible to find). Once we got there the woman in front wanted to give us only 20 minutes instead of 30. We told her we had gift cards and she rolled her eyes and made a comment about the gift cards before showing us where to go. We got massaged for the full 30 minutes (again, massages were good) and as we were leaving the woman stopped us and yelled "EXCUSE ME YOU DIDN'T TIP" when in fact we did. We told her we did tip and then she yelled at us again asking "HOW MUCH". As the woman in the back yelled to her telling her we tipped, we just left. She said this all in front of another customer while people were trying to relax and get their massages. We couldn't believe what just happened and vowed to never go there again. Chinatown style backrub at Chinatown prices. It's not a fancy spa, but a clean facility with good solid backrub. The two women who work here have amazing hands. The regular backrub is a great deal! I added 30 mins of the hot stone massage because it sounded interesting. That was just OK and there was a lot of running back and forth to reheat the stones. One drawback is that they only have capacity for two at a time. And, the appointment feature via the website does not seem to work. Call them. All in all, this is a real gem. The staff was very pleasant and the foot rub was amazing, only drawback is that the noise from people coming in and going out is distracting but unavoidable. This was my third time getting a massage here -- and each time it has been by a different technician. I had aches and pain all over (back/sciatica, shoulder and neck) when I came here 2 days ago. I had been at work all day, and sitting a lot had probably caused the pains to "stay put." By the time I left here, the majority of the pain/soreness in my body had significantly reduced. Thank you, to "Angela" for getting straight to the areas that were sore ... without me even having to say anything! (I'm guessing that most people have several "common" areas that become tight or sore). Angela applied acupressure techniques, as well as long strokes, to loosen the tight knots of pain. She giggled A LOT (??) and did not understand nor speak English well ... but she did a very good job, including the application of hot stones (to increase circulation), the oil/lotion rub, and the hot towel which signaled the end of my 30 minute massage. --- I thanked her, and tipped generously. --- Be mindful (this is the reason for my 4, instead of 5 stars): Their credit card machine was "broken" when I went (on the evening of October 3, 2016), and Angela said that it had been broken for "3 days." --- Fortunately I knew where the nearest ATM machine was ... as Angela waited patiently for me to return with cash. :) read more

I tried this place a few months ago and had a fantastic massage by a man. (There were a man and woman there when I arrived; I thought the woman was going to do the massage but it turned out to be the man.) I took my son over this afternoon for a 30 minute massage as a late Christmas gift. My massage was fantastic. I was all knotted up from a very long car ride. Felt like heaven afterward. My son had the same experience. It's not a fancy place; the owners' English is not perfect. But it's very clean and welcoming and, in the end, it's the massage that counts. They also seem to be very flexible about what type of massage you want, for how long, etc. We'll return. read more
