This is a cute place in Boerne with great food, excellent service (very attentive) and a unique atmosphere...thank you Kylie (aka Emma Stone) for making our evening memorable! I had the Steak Diane with twice baked potato and a Tomato gratin; hubby had the ribeye, twice baked potato and mushrooms. Both dishes were outstanding! We shared the Crispy Crab Cakes as an appetizer and the Créme Broülée for dessert. Both were excellent as well! We had a nice California Cabernet, would love to see them carry some Texas wines! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, they have seating for many party sizes from 2 to 6 or 7...a family friendly establishment. Wife and I had a very nice meal here recently. I had the schnitzel and she had the smoked quarter chicken. I modified one of my sides and had whipped potatoes. The service was good. This is a nice Restaraunt and we shared a cozy booth. My wife felt like some of the lighting should be fixed as there were some Mismatched color if lights which point down in various areas like spot lights making them shine in your face. read more

Wow wow wow! We attended the Cypress Restaurant Easter Brunch 2025 and it was soooooo yummy! You have to make a reservation ahead of time to get a spot! The spread was just perfect! They had cold salads, pasta salads, classic sides like eggs, bacon, sausage, charcuterie board, prime rib, smoked turkey, dessert table. Ian absolutely sure I missed a whole bunch of other delicious foods! The wine and the inside decor is all part of the aesthetics here. We are going to make it a tradition by coming by every Easter after church. This place just has the nicest servers and the best quality food. By the way the Thursday lunch special is a must try! The food was amazing, the service was excellent... I had the Veal Schnitzel with brown butter spaetzel and a braised red cabbage that was simply amazing!! My BFF had the volcano pork shank (so very tasty and tender - no knife required) with the creamiest melt in your mouth parmesan risotto... it was a difficult choice there were several items that were extremely tempting!! The staff here is incredible. We received such a warm greeting upon arriving and throughout our meal we were served with a smile. They recommended a delicious bottle of wine that was approximately $150/bottle that was perfect. I had taken some clients here for a welcome dinner and we were pleasantly surprised with the food, service and the lovely ambiance. It was not too loud until a large group of 20 came in a little later. Seems like a good place for larger groups since they can accommodate. The decor is very pleasant with nice long tables in certain spaces for groups and celebrations. The lamb was excellent as well as their fish options. We always love grabbing lunch at Cypress Grille. The waitstaff is always friendly and quite attentive with out being bothersome. The atmosphere is usually pretty loud, but the decor is very inviting and we usually ask to sit closer to the kitchen where there are fewer tables. Highly recommend our favorite, Crispy Calamari. I made reservations here for my mother-in-law's 75th birthday, and it was our first time dining at this restaurant. We ordered the shank with creamy fettuccine. The pork was cooked to perfection--tender and flavorful. However, the pasta was quite bland and could have benefited from some seasoning or salt. The addition of sweet bell peppers did improve the taste slightly. My husband had the burger, which he described as fine but nothing special. On the other hand, the calamari and ahi tuna we ordered as appetizers were excellent. The service was average. Came here with a friend to celebrate my birthday and for two people who ordered the salmon, no appetizers, drinks or dessert, it was over $100.... Salmon was smaller than my hand and the rice it came with tasted like old rice cooker rice with a piece of butter on top. Website says Open Table -- I spent about 10 minutes with the little thing on the screen going round and round, before actually logging into open table and find out that they do not handle this restaurant. Called the restaurant to tell them how frustrated I was that the website said OpenTable and connected me, and nothing would happen. The woman answering the phone seemed to have no idea that open table was listed as the reserving agent. I called directly and got a reservation without a problem . This was my first time dining here after hearing such raving reviews. Unfortunately, I will not be able to provide the highest marks as anticipated. To begin with, I was not greeted upon entry into the restaurant. I expected to be met at the door by a hostess but no. The station was completely empty. The good thing is the restaurant is small enough I could walk through and locate my party on my own with ease. The food was overpriced and tasted mediocre at best. I ordered the Steak Diane and found it very underwhelming. You know it's not quite right when you have to ask the server for salt and pepper to season the plate. The steak was covered in a creamy mushroom sauce which disguised the very small portion of meat served. it was also served warm and not hot which is a big no-no for me. On the contrary, the wine selection was good and they offer 40% off bottles on Wednesday night. Although the entree didn't meet expectations, the waiter was great. Overall, Cypress Grille was just OK. It is doubtful I'll return any time soon. read more

Our first time here but won't be the last! We went out on a date and we were glad we decided on this place! Service was great and the food was amazing! My husband had the lamb chops and I had the Chilean sea bass which was cooked perfectly! Then we decided to try out the dessert and the bread pudding was incredible but the crème brûlée was a little heavy! We couldn't finish the desserts they were so decadent! We had reservations for lunch on a Saturday so we were immediately seated when we got to the restaurant. We were waited on by Kelly who mentioned the lunch specials and the Turkey Panini happened to be one of them. It's what I went with while my girlfriends decided to go with the Cobb salad the pulled pork sliders. Our dishes got to our table immediately. The Turkey Panini was very good so I decided to share half of my sandwich with my sister in law and I got one of her sliders. While I enjoyed both, the panini outshone the slider. All together, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Cypress Grille. Kelly was friendly and attentive and the place itself is quite nice. Was visiting from out of town and stopped in here for dinner on a weeknight. When I first walked in, I thought it was more "bar & grill" vibe and almost walked out. If I hadn't previewed the menu online beforehand, I probably would have. I am so glad I didn't. I was pleasantly surprised when I was led to a large dining room in the back. Absolutely charming. My waitress was attentive and friendly. My request for filtered water was taken care of with a smile and no attitude. She didn't blink when I mentioned a gluten allergy. I had the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and sautéed seasonal veggies. It was wonderful! For dessert I had the creme brûlée. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was a nice way the end a meal. For years we have ordered their delicious Steak Diane. They recently took it off the menu for beef tips in a tomato sauce...,yuk . When I asked the server why they changed, we were told it was easier. This is supposed be one of the higher end restaurants in Boerne and people are willing to pay $45.00+ for the Steak Diane, so why remove such a popular item and replace it with an inferior one? Sorry to say, but Cypress Grill is now near the bottom of our's and several friends list for dinner. I hope they wake up and stop the laziness. They have served it for years! This place was hyped by a server at another location who also worked at the Cypress Grille. We cancelled our other reservations and went to the Cypress Grille instead to get the prime rib. The decor and atmosphere was fine, but the food not so much. We split the 16 oz prime rib with sides of mash potatoes. Everything on the plate not hot, my wife sent hers back. We were really disappointed, but did not complain to management; we should have. The service was also disappointing. Nothing like we were led to believe we would receive. That's all I will say and will not be returning. Oh, as I said we were really disappointed, but I reviewed the check the next morning and discovered we were charged $3.00 to split the caesar salad and $6.00 to split the prime rib. C'mon...we dropped $150.00 and got nickle'd and dimed. Definitely will not return. read more

I had the marinated chicken pasta dish-- giving it 5 stars... pricey for the very small portion of chicken (sad but true :/) atop the pasta, but gawd was it good-- my partner had the ribeye... was cooked to sweet perfection. They offer a reasonable wine corkage fee so we were able to take a special bottle of wine in for our 10th wedding anniversary.
