It's been a long time since I've taken a moment to write a review, but today is a good one. My daughter and son-in law came for a quick weekend visit and before they left, we went to Botero for lunch. We enjoyed the lavender sangrias which were delicious. Not too strong of an alcohol taste and not too sweet as a lot sangrias can be. The waiter was very friendly and suggested a few of his personal favorites and we all had to agree, he knew what he was talking about. We tried so many, but I tried to take pictures of a few of what we had. We all agreed the chorizo tostadas were our favorite. Definitely go when it's nice out and enjoy the patio.

My parents have been coming here for a couple of years and now I finally know what all the fuss is about! First off, the Lavender Sangria was exceptional but be careful, I feel like two of them would've knocked me off my bar stool. The Patatas Bravas and Tostadas de Chorizo were excellent. I was truly blown away by the setas gallegas they were *chef's kiss*! We came in for a drink and a quick bite but I'd love to come back and explore the full menu! Based on the great service (thanks for answering our questions!), excellent drinks and delicious food, I doubt anything here disappoints and I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town!

Sangria both red and lavender. Abondiga and empanadas.

First time trying it out finally. I live close by. I made a reservation for my friend and I but the reserved table was swished between two couples so we asked to move outside. It was gorgeous outside and the live music was amazing. We had several tapas. We shared an abondiga, empanadas, a tenderloin and ceviche. Unfortunately they had ran out of the lobster. It was all very tasty. A little pricey and I didn't get full. I think next time I'll go with the paella.

The Buñuelos. We ate our food so quickly we forgot the photos. Was excellent.

My wife surprised me on our trip to Boerne by bringing me to this small place off of the main drag. Ambiance is of a generic industrial sort with uncomfortable metal chairs and low lighting. Okay, that's the negative. The food here is absolutely divine, and the service is very attentive. Our waiter did a great job of making recommendations and checking on us. We got four tapas dishes: morcilla, buñuelos, bacalao, and the chuleton. All of these dishes were excellently prepared and tasted fantastic. We loved them. We wish to return and try the paella. Don't miss out on this great spot!

The grilled octopus was chewier than I expected. The flavor wasn't bad, though a bite or two had a bit of a vinegar hit. There really wasn't much octopus either. Accompanying potatoes were fine. Most irritating, however, is the Euro EDM crap music being played. While it was a little louder than I'd prefer, it was just plain irritating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Botero Tapas + Wine. We had a 12:30 PM reservation for Mother's Day and we were immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant. We were lead to our table which had a special Mother's Day menu in place. We immediately ordered the Botero Paella and the Seafood Paella. Both were very good. We decided to go with an array of tapas some of them pictured in this post. My absolute favorite was the cod fritters but they were all very good. This place is pricey but well worth it. The owner made it a point to come to our table to greet us and mention where his family is from (San Sebastian). He also has photos of his family along the wall facing the restroom. We will return to try their Paella Negra and go for their cod fritters again.

Had a lovely time at this little wine bar in Boerne last night! Super cute decor with inside and outdoor dining options, live music on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as delicious Spanish food, wine and sangrias! We tried the lavender sangria and chased it with a nice bottle of Tempranillo. We also sampled several tapas to include empanadas, tostadas, and flat bread, followed by churros for dessert! Having been to Spain, this placed lived up to our expectations! #spainonmain

We made reservations for a Friday night and were not disappointed by our experience. We were quickly greeted and welcomed in, and either because we made reservations or they had no other reservations at that time they knew exactly who we were and gave us the option of choosing our seats from a couple of locations. We opted to sit outside as it was cooling down and there was a nice breeze and the musician was just welcoming and inviting to the patio. We enjoyed some tapas and we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine while discussed how the week has been and what our plans for the following week were going to be. The waitress was super helpful and the food came out promptly as well as tasted delicious. The bottle of wine we ordered was just amazing. Overall, all the best reasons to keep returning

Amazing flavors, amazing service, amazing location. Definitely worth the trip to get down with some Spanish cuisine and sangria. The paella is jammed packed full of flavor. They have several options for Sangria, try the lavender it is so smooth. Will be back again to try more small plates!

This bijou little eatery in the heart of Boerne town is a must try for anyone, whether you live or visit the Hill Country. We started with a very delightful selection of imbibes, filled with herbal notes, sweetness, and smooth wine notes. The tapas were absolutely rich and luxurious. I must say the Gambas were absolutely amazing, as was everything we ordered. I will be back for the Paella.

The food is delicious. I ordered the tostadas de chorizo, albondiga and torreznos en salsa pasilla. Of all 3 I loved the tostadas de chorizo though it was a bit salty it was still delicious perhaps having more salsa will help balance the saltiness from the chorizo and the feta cheese. The albondiga has some type of an egg inside it was definitely good. Don't expect big servings coz it's tapas for nothing. It's quite a bit pricey but you're in Boerne so it make sense to have that kind of price. As far as taste goes, it was better than I expected. Will definitely come back to try other stuff.

Boteros Tapas and Wine Bar was a good break from walking through the cute little shops at Boerne. I thought the Sangria was perfectly delicious. It was fully chilled and mixed with different fruit! I ordered some empanadas and I wish they were as delicious as the wine. I wanted more in terms of flavor, cheesiness, flavor of the meat. I think this is a perfect place to have drinks and I would be interested in seeing if any other appetizers tasted good. We'll see.

Coca de jamón and traditional sangria. Delicious!

Cork & Keg is one of those rare gems that somehow marries the warmth of the hill country with what is often snobbery among wine-os. It manages to be welcoming to the newly initiated (i.e. just 21) and the more seasoned patrons, providing something for everyone with a selection that boasts excellent vintages from both near and far. If you're lucky enough to sit at the bar you may find yourself with one of the regulars open for good chat over a glass of their favorite on the list, or inspired to try something new. Don't be afraid to ask the staff their recommendations, as they are both knowledgeable and friendly, making the wine list as approachable as they are. Don't be afraid to go for your own custom flight as there are too many good wines to miss out on. The best part is, if you're not a wine fan, they have other offerings including beer, sake, and mimosas! It's my favorite stop when I'm in town and I've added new favorites to the list as well as snagged bottles to take back out of state for others to enjoy.

#1 must visit place in Boerne. I'm telling ya' - Go here!…read more This is a continuation of my review of the Richter tavern. Walking up stairs, the owner pointed out old bricks he found and used during the bars renovation. At the top of the stairs, a massive mirrored turn of the century bar awaited with mixologists wearing kilts! Yes kilts. It was here I saw a tiny bourbon barrel and ordered an old fashioned. Truly delightful- I had 2. I learned how Kendal county was created by a man named Kendall because he brought Scotsman and sheep over and developed a highly successful economy with wool. He showed us black and white photos of the same mirrored bar we were drinking at 36 years apart and with the same bartender who apparently lived in this area bartending his whole life. My wife had a cucumber lily and I had a whiskey something chill that was slightly orange favored, unique cocktails you can only get here. I learned the bartenders were really good. One had worked in Vegas and the other cut his teeth with descendants of Makers mark who taught him his skills. At the time of this post, it was near May 4th so They also had a life size Darth Vader, stormtrooper in a kilt and R2D2 light. Guy encouraged us to visit the restrooms. Inside were old black/white pictures of convicts and small blurbs about their crime written in gold foil on a black background- kind of Noir. Also running was a projector showing silent films. There were at least 2 of them in different places. Guy told us about the exclusive membership on the 3rd floor, accessible by an artistically designed red door with various half circles to an elevator. And I don't think he could help himself -he offered to show us the 3rd floor. Now, both the 1st and 2nd floor venues are impressive, and the 2nd floor out charms the first in my opinion, but the 3rd floor is simply Mega-cool magnificent. Recessed lighting throughout, a large print of Wonder Woman's face stood out on one wall next to a long well stocked bar, and leather furniture of a forgotten but classic era was Uber comfortable. And they have an outdoor patio with a great view. They had a floor to ceiling wine shelf with different names of clientele that ensure their preferred beverages are in stock. This is how the other side lives and I was fortunate and honored to get a glimpse of it. If you're still reading this awfully long review, I'll give you a 1-word summary od this entire place. IMPRESSIVE. And since Darth Vader is here too, I'll add "Most Impressive" Go. Thank you Guy for making our 16th anniversary most memorable and enjoyable. We'll certainly be back!

Great Vineyard, Frustrating Food Experience…read more This was our first visit to Singing Waters Vineyard, and the property itself is absolutely darling. The setting is beautiful, the staff at the vineyard were friendly and welcoming, and the wine was tasty. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and time with friends. However, the food truck experience was a big letdown and honestly the main reason we're hesitant to return. I paid $12 for a hot dog combo (pictured)--just a single hot dog and a small bag of chips. That price felt excessive for what we received. The kids' burger was $8 and was tiny...about the size of a quarter dollar with melted cheese and chips. The value just wasn't there. What made things worse was the service. Our friends ordered the exact same food right before us and received theirs much earlier. We waited about 40 minutes longer for the same order. It was frustrating, and it did make us wonder if my earlier comment about the hot dog price being extreme played a role. The kids were all still hungry. The vineyard itself is lovely and worth visiting, but I strongly recommend reconsidering the food truck setup...either pricing, portions, or vendor choice. The food experience didn't match the quality of the venue, and it definitely affected our overall impression.
