Highlights disappointed by the service. It took the company more than 3 weeks to process documents for the vehicle I purchased. I had to call them several times to get the status, and, I received the docs the next day after my final call which. The vehicle never left ca state. The company does not have Ca broker license so they had to register the vehicle in Oregon, and now I have to re-register the vehicle in California again. Which cost me another 10 days of time. If you don't want to waste your time waiting for the paperwork for that long, don't use this broker and work with the local one. read more

This is my 5th vehicle purchase using SalvageBid. The online portal is comprehensive, the staff are extremely helpful and responsive and the fees are a good value. As an IAAI US Buyer, I am limited to "Public" auction sites which provide access to roughly 40-45% of the auction inventory. Having a SalvageBid membership provides 100% inventory access and often fewer competitive buyers. Also, coupled with a Carfax, a consumer reporting reference ( e.g., Consumer Reports Magazine, Edmunds.com, Youtube videos, etc...) and an inexpensive pre auction onsite inspection (completed by a local mechanic and results in a comprehensive report), SalvageBid has made my car buying experience complete. Yes! Anyone can be a victim of fraud by Salvagebid inc.I have been a customer with ********************** for almost a decade. I have purchased all types of vehicles through this company.A fraudulent vehicle was sold to me on 7/17/2025. stock # ********. This vehicle was labeled Stationary. However the seller of the vehicle deliberately and literally dumped an engine and transmission inside this fraudulent cars engine bay. Neither are mounted to the vehicles frame and there is 1 single bolt holding the engine and transmission together inside the engine bay.This is a clear example of fraud.Salvagebid refuses to take any responsibility and accountability for this fraud. It is now confirmed by Salvagebid customer service that any customer can be a victim of this type of fraud and Salvagedbid will not hold anyone accountable. Salvagebid has decided that it is okay for its customers to be victims of fraud.Sellers now know that they can use Salvagebid to sell fraudulent vehicles.This type of fraud goes above the Terms and conditions and the description of Stationary. You could be buying a 2025 model vehicle labeled Stationary and it could literally have a random engine and transmission dumped in the engine bay and Salvagedbid will facilitate the sell of such fraudulent vehicles.I have a loss of $2,200 and there is a seller out there that is happy that Salvagebid is now facilitating the sale of fraudulent vehicles.There are no protections from Fraud and any customer can be taken advantage of with the help of Salvagebid inc. Salvagebid is facilitating Fraud and Scams and Salvagedbid just decided that hiding behind their terms and conditions is enough to avoid taking any type of responsibility. Salvagebid to this day has not mentioned to me or BBB on what steps they are taking to protect their customers from scams such as this type of fraud. Salvagedbid has decided that while Fraud has been brought to their attention, their customer of over 10 years is just unlucky. Now there is a seller entity that knows they can get away with this type of Fraud because Salvagedbid will do absolutely nothing to protect their customer. As a customer I am at a loss of $2200. ********************** did not offer ANY type of resolution. I gave Salvagebid many options. 1. Take the car back. 2. Ill drop off the car to the nearest aution site which is less than 15 mins from my house. 3. Resell the car. 4. Give me a full refund. Salvagebid could have taken steps to remediate this Fraud such as full or partial refund or taking the car back. Salvagebid is literally saying that its unfortunate that I am a victim of fraud through their website and that they are doing absolutely nothing about. Therefore, anyone can be a victim of fraud if they do business with Salvagebid and at the end of the day Salvagebid **** **** behind the terms and conditions. Why not take the money away from the seller? Why not look into who the seller is and block him from future fraud? Salvagebid is clearly choosing to side with the scammer. Salvagebid will continue to facilitate fraud through their website. I can provide hours and hours of footage from when this car was dropped off, when it was inspected and it being sitting in the driveway since it was dropped off. If Salvagebid does not provide a positive resolution then I will make it my weekly routine to post my experience to all available venues of how Salvagebid facilitates fraud through their website as to warn any and all customers. This is a very unfortunate situation, but Salvagebid and the person comitting Fraud are the only winners here. The customer, whether its a customer of 10 years or future customers can be victims of fraud and there is nothing they can do about it and Salvagedbid will just call the situation unlucky. read more

Every directed me to enter a $200 deposit onto the website and I tried to call the company the very next day and this woman Sarah was very rude. She actually knew I was calling because I went on after the call to check the website review shows it all about this company. Beware: I always turn off auto renewal after I make purchases. Salvage bids website either is messed up to where it automatically changes your selection back to auto renew even if you turned it off (I tested this by turning auto renewal off only to log back in to see it back on each time) or set to do it on purpose. Which one it is I do not know but they refuse to refund me for something that was their fault, not mine. I got charged $349 for a renewal that I did NOT consent to. Not to mention it was $199 when I actually signed up the 1st time. They want to claim that I tried to bid on something AFTER the fact...who cares? Doesn't change the fact that I did not give them permission to charge me. If Netflix is charging u against your will....might as well use it right? So that's what I did. I tried to bid on one car & didn't win & that is another reason they don't want to refund me. But either way. Their policy says their memberships are "NON REFUNDABLE" no matter what anyways. read more

They charge you for a membership that you sometimes can not use because they have website issues. They will not make any accomodations for any lack of their service. recently purchased a vehicle with a lien on it from them that i have been waiting over 60 days for a title and had to file a complaint with the state against them. Great customer service team. I was mostly in contact with Sarah J. She responded quickly to any concerns and problems I had. The website's live auction bid feature went down one day, and she was able to put in a bid manually for me. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to bid before the auction ended, but Sarah responded quickly! Was skeptical at first, but everything went smoothly. Don't hesitate to contact them if you have any questions. The fees are quite high though, so check on that if you plan to use them. They have an estimate tool on their website which was exactly what my total came out to. read more

Initially I was dissatisfied that the customer service desk is not open during all hours for PST and EST times. However when they are open they work perfectly. Great service. No waiting time on a line. I got my vehicle from the iaai without a single problem. Even long time after I purchased the car the support answered my questions. Company gave faulty paper work and when asked for new documents in order to register vehicle, it took more than a month to generate docs. Asked company to send docs to certain address in order to receive them faster and they blatantly sent it somewhere else. They gave me the run around and now I'm still waiting without a tracking number. read more

I recently signed up for Salvage Bid last Thursday. I am very understanding of a company having policies about no refunds, however, this company is unreasonable. When we signed up, we felt dissatisfied with the type of service they provided. Within a matter of 30 minutes we contacted them for a refund. We did not bid on any auctions or even utilize the service. When I asked for the refund, we were given the run-around. Today (Feb 4), after days of run-around, I was told that they would not, could not, provide refund even though we will NEVER use their service and NEVER DID. I looked at the BBB website and saw a similar situation where they issued a refund to a person who had been a member for longer than we were. I am only able to speak to one person, Sarah, who says she is the only supervisor. If you are considering doing business with this company, beware... If they cannot handle a simple customer service situation such as the one we had, I would beware of buying vehicles through their website. read more
