I googled around and found 5 Star Data Recovery. I took it in and they busted it out. They did a tremendous job and got 98% of my data back. What a bullet to do! Cost me around $600. I wouldn't call it cheap, but I would say it was actually pretty fair considering what they were working with. Also, would I learn never buy an encrypted external hard drive.
