Fun fun night the six of us had for dinner the night before the predicted snowstorm/blizzard. Our first time at Salvatore's. Our friends are regulars and knew the staff. What made it fun was the maître D...Ira, and the owner too. They bring the personality of the place which adds a special welcoming touch. Our Server, Brayden was timly and right on. The bus guy was very sweet as well. We appreciated the staff. When we first pulled up we were not impressed with the small strip center and worried the place looked empty and drab. Turns out the dining room is to the left of the door and the first room is basically a fast food take out area. Reminded us of Aldo's in Holland...if you have ever been there. The dining room was basically a no frills kinda place but much nicer than the other side. Love a byob and we had more bottles than people...party time! (Cheers). At the end of the meal Salvatore gave us complimentary choclate lemoncello...amazing. Soooo...the food itself. We started with calamari and also the antipasto. Perfect for sharing and all delicious. Calamari was a good one. I ordered the chicken française, which was even better as leftovers the next day since it marinated in the sauce. Hubs enjoyed his veal Marcella. In fact everyone enjoyed everything. Overall, we all left feeling full, satisfied, pleased and very happy. It was a good time! Thumbs definitely up on this place. read more

Still a great local place for dinner. They have a fairly large menu which sometimes can be a problem because it's hard to offer so many items and have them all be good. So far, this hasn't been a concern because what we've had continues to be G to VG. From the Calamari, to the Lasagna, to the Stuffed Shells and Baked Ziti, and the Chicken Ravello all were enjoyable. I've been coming to Salvatore's since he first opened. What I can say for sure is, Sal is one of a kind! He always remembers my favorite meals of the month hahahahhaha but all jokes aside the BEST things on the pizzeria side is the chicken caesar wrap with breaded chicken(he has a grilled chicken option also) and the calamari!!!!!!! They are-amazing and the price is on point for the chicken caesar wrap. $12.99 for a wrap and fries. I think it's a great deal in this economy. Anyways if you're a local and haven't tried it give it a try! If you're not a local and passing by the area give it a try!! The service is always great in my opinion, the staff are polite and always helpful. PS. I will upload a photo next time I go. I can never remember to take a photo of the food. Salvatore's was part of a recent pizza trip list my son and I had lined up. It's in a strip mall anchored by the H mart so parking is not an issue. There are two seating area's - dining on the left and pizza shop seating on the right. The layout is nice and spacious on both sides with nicely decorated walls, high ceilings, ample bright lighting and dark tiled floors. The tables were clean and overall the entire place was organized, felt newly updated and comfortable. The staff was friendly and prompt. We ordered a fresh round plain pizza well done and waited. There was a TV on the pizza side seating area and plenty of conversation going on in and around the pizza kitchen. Our pizza came out and looked great! I was a bit let down by the taste, the cheese was laid on a bit thicker so the sauce/cheese ratio was a bit off, light char, thick doughy crust, and the sauce was a little tangy but too salty for my liking. Solid pizza overall, but there are definitely better in the area. I would return to experience the dining side and explore the menu/entrées. read more

I had my daughters bridal shower here yesterday and it turned out beautifully. The food was excellent, and so much of it. They kindly boxed it up into to go containers so the guests could take some home as well. The service was exceptional and a huge shout out to Jared who assisted in setting up the night before as well as taking care of us during the party. Good atmosphere. I've eaten here a few times and right now they have the best pizza. It's thin and cooked well. There's a lot of little mom and pop shop pizza places around here so hard to stick out and be different. I used to get pizza from Anthony's, but they have consistently given me undercooked pizza. Yordana's was good and still up there, but as of recent I prefer pizza from Salvatore's Cucina. I recently stopped in to pick up an order and had a pleasant conversation, which you don't get a lot of these days. Italian hoagie was good. Good balance of oil and vinegar. Onions could be sliced a little more thinly, but that just my preference. They have some delicious rolls. Nice bite but not stale or crunchy. Seems like a lot of places are leaning towards the seeded rolls and crunch that slices up your mouth! So far I have not been disappointed. read more

Group averaged 5 stars. It's rare my family picks a place I'll like. I'm pretty sure they just gave up trying. But lately there has been some improvement. When I was invited to join them here I read the reviews and it looked really promising. I was the first to arrive to a nicely done but casual dining room. We were appointed a very big table by their light feature on the wall. I spoke with the waiter briefly as he opened my bottle and I had a good feeling about this place. I ended up ordering the veal parm and a salad called the Laradena. The bread they serve is a light pizza based product with the top lightly seasoned, pretty good but I was saving it for sauce. The salad consisted of romaine, radishes, red onions, green peppers and blue cheese, nice size and easily feeds 3 adults. The veal was even better. 4 or 5 thin filets nicely seasoned and still retaining a bit of crispness. But the sauce stole the show. Dark, thick and rich. No sweetness but acidity was balanced. I didn't get offered tastes of my families food but can say wholeheartedly that the chicken Giambotta looked and smelled amazing, said family member proclaimed that it was too. Equally well received was the stuffed shells and side of sausage. The other few members liked their own choices as well. What added to the experience was the chef/owner and the waiter who served us. He even honored a Yelp check in offer for 10% off. We went on a Monday night with many folks still getting in a summer vacation. The place was empty. But I've been told that the weekends are jamming. And for good reason, great prices and portions not to mention the food. Since we all agreed so much on this one, I rounded up to 5 picky family member stars. Back again, this time not for a major holiday meal and this time we sat on the pizzeria side and received the same wonderful attention of Salvatore and his team. This time we didn't even use the menus, spoke with Sal about what ingredients he had, some ideas he had and boom.... a fabulously relaxing and tasty night out. Our opening surprise course was a lovely, fresh, brightly colored poached pear salad with a light dressing. Fab way to start the meal. I had ordered the VEAL FIORENTINO- roasted peppers, mushrooms, spinach & fresh mozzarella in white wine sauce. Swapped the pasta for a side of sauteed super-fresh spinach. A delicious meal My wife had a small Brooklyn pie that had to taste, fab crush and great flavorful sauce. We enjoyed the rest a few days later at home. The Brooklyn pie survived the 15 minute car ride home and we ate immediately. Judging from the pictures we thought it would be a thinner pie. It wasn't doughy but it was not thin. 9 slices with tons of cheese, decent crisp. Their sauce was very good yet there wasn't nearly enough on it. First impression of this place? Well I was just picking up, but I was instantly greeted buy the older gentleman behind he counter, who was in the process of making a pizza. He looked up and nodded while saying "hello!... welcome!" And went back to his pie. Not bad, nice hello. 10 points... I hosted a dinner for my bridesmaids and we were able to sit in the back room called the wine room. It had a large farmhouse style table that could fit over 12 people comfortably. We had our server Tina, who explained the specials of the day and offered delicious suggestions based off of all of our different diet restrictions and preferences. The meal was perfectly spaced and we felt like we were having dinner at one of our family homes! The owner also greeted us and treated us like family. I can't wait to bring my fiancé there. Salvatore's Cucina is a new Italian house in the HMart shopping center in Levittown, PA. It is divided into two large rooms; one for lunches and light fare, and the other for more serious dining. This is reflected on their two menus. The fancy one only lists the dinners. If you want a pizza, sandwich, panini or wrap, you have to ask for the second, smaller list. As first time customers, that is what we requested. My approach to new places like this is to start with their basics and if satisfied, return for the high end expensive meals. So, we ordered a chicken broccoli rabe panini, and a chicken, spinach sandwich on a 7" hoagie roll. The place wasn't busy, so they allowed us to sit in the big boy room. Service was slow as a rainy Sunday afternoon in April, but we weren't in a rush. They provided a basket of bread and an olive oil herbal mix for dipping. Enjoyed that. Our lunches arrived looking quite nice on white ceramic plates. The panini was nicely grilled and came with a load of crisp fries. The smaller sandwich was less impressive, with a minimum of grilled chicken, sautéed spinach and two square slices of mozzarella melted over the top. Son enjoyed half the panini and could not finish the second. We brought it home. The chicken 'wich was just okay, with no effort to make it appealing or tasty. I guess we shouldn't expect much for the low price, but it was disappointing nonetheless. We also ordered a small standard pizza with sausage to take home. When we opened the box, it looked fine with plenty of chunky meat and red sauce. We reheated it in the oven a few hours later, and found it to be a decent pie. The sauce was a bit salty, but overall we liked it. Can't be too fussy about a reheat job. They are never as good as piping hot from the oven. It was hard for us to get overly excited by Salvadore's. It is certainly a place where you can stuff yourself at a good price, but the offerings we had were not the stuff of return visits. Yet, the large menu did have some tempting items in the pasta, marsala and francaise department. On another rainy day, we could find ourselves there again to check them out. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance of this place, it's actually very nice inside! They have a pizzeria on one side and to your left is the dining/restaurant. I think Salvatore's has been opened only a few months, but it is worth a visit. I got there around 6:30 on a week day and it wasn't very crowded. We were seated right away. The hostess and our waitress were both super friendly. Yes, it is BYOB and that's always a plus in my books! You'll get bread and oil to start. They have a smaller menu, but you are bound to find something you'll like. And for apps I would recommend to try their calamari. They call it spicy but I did not think there was too much heat to it. However, still very good! I loved their sauce. I can probably just drink it. For my dinner I had the chicken francaise, one of the best! It was lightly battered and not too heavy. I especially loved the white wine sauce. I like my really "lemony" and this was perfect for me without being too overpowering. Most of the meals will come with a side if you choice pasta. So my chicken came out with penne and topped off with their homemade red sauce. I usually don't bring pasta home, but this one I had too! And if you come here, be hungry! Their portions are massive! You can probably share with another person. The pricing was very reasonable. And the food is very very good! You will not leave here hungry. read more

AMAZING! I read the Yelp reviews and we decided to try it. We're up from Florida and I wanted real Italian, the stuff my grandparents would be proud of. Salvatores was all that. Incredible. Greg was hands down the perfect server. He knew his menu, made great suggestions and was on point the whole time - that's coming from a server bartender, so my expectations are high. The owner came out and in true Italian form talked a little shit to us- we saw some 1970s afros they used to sport so much fun! The only thing you should know is they don't serve booze but you can bring your own, and come hungry bc the portions are huge! There were 7 of us and our bill was only 127$. Poor customer service. I ordered online for the first time with them I usually call. Nothing says this is through another company till your order is complete if there is an issue says call the establishment. My order was supposed to be 45 minutes a hour I can understand but it was over a hour and a half later and the response of sals was not there fault and offered no way to make it better except call that company that referred you back to them. Never had an issue but the call was poor customer service with no personal responsibility for the issue. Unbelievable will not be going back which is ashame because we order from there quite a bit. read more

Wow really had great meal here Started with the Salvatore salad. Then had a custom order. Salmon over a bed of sautéed spinach and mushroom. To say I'm fussy about salmon is an understatement this was cooked perfect for me and the only thing left was the lemon. The place is new and was quiet I hope people find out about this place. First, I am very surprised to see the glowing reviews of this restaurant. Second, full disclosure, it is co-owned by a former fellow server that I worked with at La Stalla in Newtown, PA for two years in the mid-2000's. That said, I expected much more and found the entire experience to be underwhelming. I just got home from my meal there, and will start from the beginning: For some reason, the eggplant parm is not on the menu, but they do have it available. Odd. When it did arrive, it was in a watery pool of sauce (not gravy). The eggplant was seemingly not breaded, which really made the dish an eggplant lasagna. My dish, the chicken francaise, had good traditional flavor (how hard is it to get right though?) But, it lacked an abundance of sauce where the pasta was simply coated with it ever so slightly. Chicken was a bit over- done, but edible. The coffee was as watered down as the marinara. Enough said. Service- Again, having worked side by side with one of the owners, I expected a respectable level of professional service, but that was not the case. I suppose he doesn't train the staff or leaves it someone else. The hostess was polite, and as the place was empty, minus one other guest (great sign for a restaurant that is a year old), we had our choice of tables. The server was polite, but asked my date if she would like dessert while I was still eating my entree. That is a no-no. She then returned right after dessert was served to ask if we would like anything else and presented the check, which was without waiting to ask if more coffee was wanted. When she did happen to come back with more coffee, it was decaf, which was not what was originally ordered. In the interim of all this, she sat herself for a time up at the hostess desk and spun around in the chair while on her cell phone. Another service no-no. At some point during the visit it was evident that since the place was dead and they were looking to close early due to lack of volume. However, that does not mean you rush your remaining guests. The biggest evidence of this was when the cook yelled out of the kitchen area for all to hear, "Ok, let's wrap it up!" to our server. very unprofessional. Subpar food (I've seriously had the same quality or better at Olive Garden). Polite but inexperienced service for this type of cuisine. They serve pizza on the other side of the establishment, but I have heard from other customers that that is also lackluster. With so many other, and better options locally, this place should be closing its doors for good in about a year's time, once one or both owners determine that they just can't afford to keep the lights on anymore. We had a very decent meal here last night. We were a walk-in and they were pretty busy so they forgot about us. It might have been a table they broke off from the rest so they weren't expecting it. Waitress and staff were wondeful albeit slow because of the issue. The wife had the chicken franchaise which was good but not great. Sauce had more lemon than she likes but overall it was good. I had the veal in vodka sauce which was again, good but not great. The vodka sauce felt like a mix between red gravy and vodka sauce, not the traditional blush vodka sauce I enjoy. The Italian Wedding soup was very good. Theres a lot to be said for a good staff and fresh ingredients. It could have been an off night but I can only review what I see.
