Pizza Star is such an interesting spot to discuss when you talk pizza. There are tons of people who swear by it and a lot who say its an out of date place with crappy pizza. I actually enjoyed the throwback look. Wood paneling, old faded pictures of the old country hanging on the walls, orange booths and a manual menu board. They've kept it well maintained on the inside even with the menu board. I know progress happens and things change, but to take my kid to a place like this was fun. The menu was simple and not overwhelming which was great! Stick to the basics and make it well. My son and I sat at a table and watched some Wheel of Fortune on their TV while we waited for our large well done plain pizza. The guys behind the counter were friendly and speaking Italian. My kind of folks! Once our pie came out, I found it to be pretty darn good. I liked the sweetness of the cheese although I would have preferred more sauce. The crust could have been a bit crispier/charred and was on the thick/doughy side. I thought the experience was good here. Friendly staff, solid above average pizza, simple menu and fair prices. I can see why they have a very loyal following.

I grew up eating here when I was a little boy. I was born in 1979 and I remember eating pizza here since the early 80s. I moved away and I've been dreaming about it ever cents. I was lucky enough to make my way back and get to experience my favorite pizza! Everything still taste delicious and amazing, I feel really fortunate that I was able to eat a few pizzas while visiting. If you haven't been here you better stop and thank me later

This place was rated high on Yelp so my party of three came here after we got water ice from a place close by. Ordered a cheese steak hoagie with cheese fries and a drink at the counter. The guy at the counter wasn't very welcoming- no hello nothing, okay whatever maybe the food will be worth the awkward unwanted entrance in the pizza shop. My friends ordered a pepperoni pizza and got themselves sodas as well. The cheese steak was really delicious but had way too much lettuce- was a bit lacking on the portion of steak actually on it though- but I guess not bad for the price. The cheese fries were well done and crispy and had a great taste. The pepperoni pizza was just okay- the crust had a gummy taste and was a bit hard to chew- made it feel like it was sticking to my teeth when I chewed. I was really hoping yo walk out satisfied since the yelp had such good reviews- but maybe I came in an off day- or maybe my taste buds are different then others on this page. Glad to try a new place though- prob wouldn't return though.

Hafe pepperoni hafe cheese then i ate hafe of it.

When a family has been in the same business at the same location for 40 years, they must be doing something right. Pizza Star is a traditional pizza parlor. They do pizza, steaks and related goodies, and that is all. No pasta. No dinners. Nothing fancy. Just old style pie and sandwiches in a double wide storefront on Woerner Avenue, Levittown, PA. If you know this commercial strip, you are aware it is not the most attractive bit of design and construction every created. Signage can't be seen from the main roads, and even the street seems more like an alleyway between New Falls Road and Emilie Road. But, if you are in the mood for a throwback Italian experience, Pizza Star is the joint for you. Ordering is at the counter, and table service is provided by the kitchen staff. No waitresses here. Just find a table and settle in. The HDTV high on the front wall will keep you informed or entertained. I went with their eggplant parmesan sub. There was only one size available - large, but the price was about the same as for a torpedo half the size. Hard to beat. When delivered to my seat, it looked great. Overloaded with melanzone - breaded thin slices, sautéed in olive oil and covered in mozza and their home brewed red sauce. The roll was first rate, too; brought to highlife with the final bronzing in the oven. Taste was very good, although the golden fried discs were perhaps a little too oily from their moment in the hot sun. Not a biggie, but it would have been near excellent had the oil been absorbed off before the sandwich was finished. The Star is yet another strong find in this part of Lower Bucks. No doubt I will return to sample the steaks and pizza when I find myself hungry in this sector of the universe.

Their prices are a little high compared to pizza places (especially in a strip mall like they are in) BUT their plain pizza is fantastic.

What made it fun was the maître D...Ira, and the owner too. They bring the personality of the place which adds a special welcoming touch. Our Server, Brayden was timly and right on. The bus guy was very sweet as well. We appreciated the staff. When we first pulled up we were not impressed with the small strip center and worried the place looked empty and drab. Turns out the dining room is to the left of the door and the first room is basically a fast food take out area. Reminded us of Aldo's in Holland...if you have ever been there. The dining room was basically a no frills kinda place but much nicer than the other side. Love a byob and we had more bottles than people...party time! (Cheers). At the end of the meal Salvatore gave us complimentary choclate lemoncello...amazing. Soooo...the food itself. We started with calamari and also the antipasto. Perfect for sharing and all delicious. Calamari was a good one. I ordered the chicken française, which was even better as leftovers the next day since it marinated in the sauce. Hubs enjoyed his veal Marcella. In fact everyone enjoyed everything. Overall, we all left feeling full, satisfied, pleased and very happy. It was a good time! Thumbs definitely up on this place.

He always remembers my favorite meals of the month hahahahhaha but all jokes aside the BEST things on the pizzeria side is the chicken caesar wrap with breaded chicken(he has a grilled chicken option also) and the calamari!!!!!!! They are-amazing and the price is on point for the chicken caesar wrap. $12.99 for a wrap and fries. I think it's a great deal in this economy. Anyways if you're a local and haven't tried it give it a try! If you're not a local and passing by the area give it a try!! The service is always great in my opinion, the staff are polite and always helpful. PS. I will upload a photo next time I go. I can never remember to take a photo of the food. Soon as the food hits the table it never stays long. PSS. If your anything like me and forget to get your menu ready last minute for Super Bowl Sunday please call Salvatore's. I forgot to get wings and pizza and his staff made it possible last year. *THANK YOU SAL for always being there when I needed it!

I've recently started trying other items from them and I can tell you I'll keep going back. Anthony's is always consistent. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing so don't fear their smaller parking lot, you got this!! They do have tables inside where you can sit and eat. They have daily specials as well. Now to the food in the photos: Chili cheese fries: 8/10 with every loaded fry scenario, it's going to get soggy so don't complain about it. Eat it fresh or lay it out in the oven and toast it up, it's AMAZING either way. I've even refrigerated it and put it in the oven the next day and it's still good. Sausage Sicilian pizza: 9/10 very good and it's way more filling than you think it's gonna be. Heating it up in the oven for left overs is still really good making the crust even crispier. Chicken Parmesan hot hoagie: 9/10 VERY GOOD! Crispy roll , hot steamy chicken and cheese! Chef's kiss! Pepperoni pizza: 9/10 GOOD. Sometimes it's a little tooo cheesy like sliding off but I manage LOL Jalapeño poppers (comes as 6): 8/10 only because it's cheddar cheese (yellow cheese) inside and I prefer/ thought it was gonna be cream cheese but it's still really good. I would order again if I wanted the cheddar cheese (sorry if it's not cheddar). Will update with more photos and reviews when I continue ordering :D
