A & S Pizza & Pasta at the bottom of Edgely Road, just off Route 13, Levittown, PA, is a small parlor dealing pies, slices, pasta and Italian sandwiches. It has been in one family for decades. While not the best of neighborhoods, and a bit frayed around the edges, they do prepare very good and filling dishes. We ordered standard cheesesteak and eggplant parmesan sandwiches to check out their basics. Both were very good, if not best of breed. They were loaded - one with a ton of chopped steak, onions and cheese, and the other with thin sliced, breaded and fried nightshade, red gravy and mozzarella, run through the oven to melt and crisp everything. They use excellent torpedo rolls that toast up well and had a good flavor. While straight up steak houses like Steve's in the Northeast/Langhorne and Dalessandro's in Roxborough, are the class of the field for steaks, these guys do a credible job for a corner neighborhood place. Aside from a kitchen that works eggplant without breading and has faith in its sauce and olive oil to provide enough mass and taste on their own, A&S is as good as the best of them. This place seems pretty standard. It's a pizza place with hoagies, cheese steaks, and a number of salads and entrees, with pasta dishes also appearing on the menu to no one's surprise. Hardly worth even noticing in a town where you can get literally anything you want to eat--as long as you want pizza. It's only after you eat here that you get it. They pay attention to every detail, they use delicious and fresh ingredients, and every customer is special. They will even remember your name after you have been isolating at home for an extended period due to a pandemic that might have possibly caused you to maybe lean a little too heavily into your inner hermit. John and Joey are the two brothers who man the front of this family owned business and any business would be lucky to have just one of these guys; this place has them both. Stopped in here on Saturday and loved the old school feel of this place. I had 2 plain slices, and they were amazing. I have nothing really negative to report on this however they once had plain slices available. I would have loved to see more slice pies out in the open. But this is only a personal preference. I will be back when I'm in the area for sure. read more

So I can't talk about any of their standard pizzas because we originally discovered them for their Brooklyn. Oh my. So amazing. It's a well loved order from us. Now, I've had the vodka rigatoni pizza ( keep in mind when you want this - you're not looking for pizza. You are looking for this speciality) and it is out of this world. I've had it one other place in NYC and it not only captures the pizza but probably outdoes it. The staff ( which is usually the son or father) are so friendly and welcoming - it's a rarity of wonderful customer service). And no I don't know them - just a great experience for us. read more

We got take out from here the other night and each of us were blown away by how great it was. I had the cheese hoagie, my husband has the cheesesteak and my friend had the meatball sandwich. Really wish I could have given them a better rating, but when you order 2 plain pizzas, 1 order of mozzarella fries, and your wife says when she picked it up along with a 4 pack of Seagram's Escapes that they charged her $56?! That's just skeezy. I called them about this, got an attitude and was told, would've been cheaper to just get the pizza and Fries. How do you justify treating your customers like that, or taking advantage of women? Don't patronize this place. read more

First time I came here I got a buffalo chicken slice, BBQ chicken slice and a slice with rigatoni, they were the most amazing slices. I spent maybe 10$ but it was well worth it! The pizza was amazing and flavorful and I would definitely be back for more. Very good pizza and cheesesteaks. Pizza has an excellent unique cheese flavor which makes it stand out from the rest (Amatos/Aquilones Cucino which are very good but doesn't stand out). Portions won't leave you looking for more but if you have a sweet tooth leave room for a cannoli. The establishment is very clean and there are booths however I prefer take out. Excellent pizza, cheese steak and fries. The sausage pizza was a thin crust and perfectly chewy. Sauce on the pizza was awesome, better than any other place we have tried in the Bristol area. The cheese steak was packed with meat and very cheesy. The roll was soft and fresh. French fries were cooked perfectly and not soggy. Friendly owner and staff. We did take-out but as I waited for our order I noticed that the inside was very clean. Served hot and fresh, their food is delicious if typical Italian-American quick service food. Their steak sandwich is excellent, as is their pizza. Friendly, family owned place. If you're in the neighborhood, I recommend going. They've got a big enough menu to satisfy just about anyone. Prices are printed in the menu but for some reason were not posted on their displays. The pizza here is great!!! Fresh, high quality ingredients and a decent price. The tomato pie here is wonderful, although when you order, request light oil and well done crust. I haven't had anything else from here, but if the rest of their food is like their pizza, I'm pumped to try it! I would like to select zero stars, unfortunately, I am required to select a star. I went to A & S last night, due to the Corona Virus, the hours are now limited. I called and ordered food at 7:45 pm and was informed at that time A & S would be closing at 8 pm; however, they were still taking orders. I ordered two cheese steaks, one with fried onions and mushrooms. When I got home, the onions were so burnt on my steak that it made the whole thing taste burnt. I tried to call, but they were already closed for the evening. Unfortunately I could not eat the sandwich and I threw it out. I threw it out because the onions smelled and what is worst, burnt onions. The smell was so rancid, it reminded me of a seventh-grade boys locker room that was set on fire. I called the business today and asked to speak with a manager. The man I spoke with told me he could not replace my sandwich, that I should have kept it to return it. I explained that I bit off the sandwich and didn't think they would want it back due to the virus. I also told him that it smelled so bad I threw it out. He told me to call back in the afternoon and speak with Pat, the owner. I explained that I had running around to do and the man told me he would have the owner call me back. He told me he already had my number on caller ID. I advised him that he can review their records and see that I did try to call the night before after closing. He still insisted he could not help me. Around 6pm, Pat never called me. I called back A and S and asked to speak to him. He was not there. I explained the reason for my call and requested a supervisor. I was put on hold and then hung up on. I called back two more times. I was hung up on once and the other time they just didn't answer, because they have caller id. I am writing this review, because the cheese steak cost $9 and I couldn't eat it. I should have been reimbursed. After their juvenile behavior, I would be scared to have this replaced because I am positive someone will spit in my food or tamper with it. I could not believe that I was hung up on. This pizza place is in a horrible location, the apartments across the street are not a good area. One of my girlfriends was almost jumped in the parking lot of the restaurant and I refused to go there alone since then. Now I will never go to this establishment again. In this time, when people are losing money already because we have to be off work, we should be doing everything we can to help each other! Instead, I am being taken advantage of. This is a disgrace and I will never order from here again. They don't deliver and the way I was treated was absolutely horrible. I give this negative 10 stars and they have lost my family as a customer, I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone and I encourage everyone to go somewhere else. read more

Came here on vacation to Sesame Place with 4 kid and 4 adults. We got a large cheese for the kids (huge!!!), a stromboli (amazing!), sausage rolls, mozz sticks, mushrooms, garlic knots.... basically too much food and it was all awesome.
