I'm gonna be honest, this was always my least favorite location of this chain. But my most recent visit, it seems like things have changed. There was an abundance of staff ready to help everyone lined up. Also, the staff was a lot more friendly than in previous visits. And finally, my sandwich was really well made. I usually get the number 13 with a little bit of mayo and Mike's Way (everything but the tomatoes, they just make everything soggy). It's a pretty legit sandwich with all the Italian meats and provolone cheese. And it just keeps me going when I'm on the run. Even before this visit, the location itself has been clean and well kept. Probably more apt to come here now than before for sure.

Tony, the very sweet owner greeted me with a big smile and graciously wrote down my order for the three eggs and cheese plus salt, pepaper and ketchup on a roll. He told me to pop a squat ( ok to please sit) and it would just be a couple of minutes. I noticed that this is a simple deli. Basic stuff- juices, milk, cold cuts, bread, lunch specials, sandwiches ...lots of signs for specials. Three kids were sitting by a table all the inside and loving their meal. The atmosphere was so serene. Tony made me a beautiful and delicious sandwich.( photo). It was $5.29 for this masterpiece and that is a great price in June of 2026. There is parking up front. Having commuted from Hicksville to Manhasset when I lived on the island I remember some good delis in this area. Carle Place Deli came up first so that's where we went. A typical delicatessen with refrigerators on one side of building, chips and sides in the middle and then the working area with Boars head meats and cheese. Son need a restroom and they were kind enough to allow him to use theirs. There are no public restrooms here. While we waited I cruised the menu and cases and did notice a German cuisine vibe, the Roladin especially. We have a family recipe for. We were there for lunch so hero's in the agenda. Had a hard time choosing but we both ultimately chose The Lumberjack; breaded chicken with bacon and melted mozzarella. Lettuce and tomato to finish off. Grabbed our sandwiches and drinks and we were off and running. Opened our hero's to discover we could have easily shared just one! They are HUGE well worth the price paid. I actually saved my half and had for lunch on Monday! So good and staff amazing with their friendly service and care given
