Heard so much about this place I had to try it. Order the eggplant dish. Mouth ready for an amazing dish and nope it was burnt. Called told them and of course bring it back and we can replace or make it over. I keep my receipt and next time I'm in the area I'll stop by. I stop by for a pizza to replace that order. The bbq chicken pizza was good. The guy didn't want to replace for the amount I spend he felt I need to order the bigger one to earn more money out of me after I wasn't happy with the first purchase. I came back tonight for the second time ever and it was just as amazing as the first. The first time ( a few weeks ago) i ate inside and the service was wonderful and the manicotti i got was insanely good (same with the tiramisu i got, soooo delicious) and this time i called in for pickup and my food was done quickly and just as amazing as last time. I recommend this place so much and you most definitely get what you pay for. prices are 100% justified. I love this place and I'll def keep coming back and recommending. The food is solid. We got Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Parm, 200 wings, Salad, and bread. Everything was delicious. I grabbed it and took back to the hotel, so I would guess it has to be even better in the restaurant. The people were wonderful too. I have found my new go to in Smyrna. Context: We are all up in some competitive soccer teams that travel a lot. I arrange the Saturday night dinner for the teams wherever we go so I am always looking someone that is reliable that puts out solid food for a reasonable price. Our thing is pasta and wings. Got to carb up for Sunday's match. We end up in Smyrna for soccer roughly 10 times a year and we had been using someone else. Unfortunately that someone turned out to not be that reliable so I had to find someone else on the fly. Thank God we did. Much better product. I have eaten here many times. I will say that they make awesome wings. They fry them well done and then toss in sauce. Pizza is good but little doughy sometimes but normally great. My problem is their chicken Alfredo, It is $18.99 without bread or salad. I have ordered it before and thought they just forgot my salad and no bread. Their online menu says all dinners come with salad and bread. I just called for a to go order and the lady said they changed their menu and salad was 1.99 more. No bread. Well. The last time I had the Alfredo is was dry and the chicken looked like diced pizza toppings. Needless to say I guess I'm crossing them off my list. Subs were less than par, pizza was was the size ordered, but burnt on ends and sauce had no flavor other than a strong acidic after-taste, cannoli's were undercooked and chewy and only enough cream to hide the ends. Had to spit out the first bite of cheesecake because it literally tasted rotten - hard to explain the taste. The only edible item was garlic knots - which were cold - but we could put them in the air fryer to warm them up. I agree with another poster who said they found the pizza very mediocre. I'll add to their review and say it's very mediocre AT BEST. Tried it the first time about a year ago and wasn't impressed, but I thought, well, maybe they were having a bad day, so I decided to give it another shot. This will be my last time. The crust is dry and uninspiring -- more like the texture of stale, mediocre bread. The sauce is blah. The ready-made pizza choices were limited, as were topping options. I asked for (and paid for) garlic on my pizza, but I couldn't see or taste any. Maybe my expectations are unfair. I grew up in a large city with a huge Italian immigrant population. Fabulous, authentic pizza at mom & pop establishments, with 1st or 2nd generation Italians doing all the food prep/cooking, is still fairly easy to find, thank goodness. We discovered Salvos during the early stages of Covid when all the restaurants had closed their dining rooms. We were so impressed by their plain cheese pizza. We've also tried their chicken alfredo, lasagna, & ravioli- all good! Since then, we've had a lot of pizza! Now that they have fully opened, we eat there every Sunday night! Love the pizza, the atmosphere, and the owner/workers are super friendly as well! I definitely recommend trying out Salvos. You'll probably keep coming back too! read more

I usually don't work past 5 in the area but on this rare occasion I did. I wanted something different than the regular fast food. I skimmed through Yelp & found that you could even order. I was debating on the cheese calzone or the Stromboli. The cheese calzone was $8.50 & each extra topping was $1.50, so I picked the Salvo's Stromboli that comes with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, green peppers & onions for $9.75. A steal! I ordered the Stromboli & the confirmation email told me 10-35 minutes for it to be ready. That's a large time frame, so I waited 10 minutes & then called them to see how much longer. I was told 10-15 minutes so I headed over. My Stromboli was in my hands about 20 minutes after ordering on a Wednesday at 5:30pm. If you're getting any food to go, remember to grab a fork & a knife to take with you because mine didn't have one. Luckily I was about to find a plastic fork in my car & a knife at work. Also, my Stromboli had a lot of grease coming out of the pizza box, so be careful where you place it in your car. When I was waiting for the Stromboli in the store, I noticed they coated the Stromboli with a butter sauce (maybe) that probably was the reason for the wetness & grease. I ordered the small Salvo's Stromboli but I think I got a medium by mistake, maybe? If not, this thing is HUGE. I was starving & I could only eat half the thing. One review said that 3 inches on each end was nothing but bread, I didn't have that issue. Mine had cheese & toppings about 3/4 inch in. The dispersement of toppings was good. It wasn't just one topping in each bite. The mushrooms were from a can but I didn't mind. I think maybe the green peppers too because they were smaller & didn't have a huge pepper flavor which I'm good with because I'm not a huge fan of peppers. Overall my meal was worth the 10 bucks I paid for it. I got two meals out of that Stromboli. I saw where they have a lunch buffet for $7.99 that I might try sometime. read more

I order from Salvo's weekly and they deliver. Excellent food is always hot and fresh and there salad dressings, such as the vinaigrette dressing is is homemade and so good. I have tried all there pasta's and delicious and the Brooklyn style pizza is one of the best Ive had since they are from Brooklyn. read more

The first time I ordered from Salvo's Pizza I got a whole pizza. Unfortunately, I got tied up at work and arrived 45 minutes late, so my pizza was barely warm. It was good, but I didn't pass judgment because I was so late to pick it up. Well, today I went back and decided to grab a slice of cheese and try the lasagna. First, the service was great! The buy behind the counter was friendly and was on top of it. I took my number, sat down, and within about 5 minutes I had a burning hot slice of pizza at my table. Always judge a pizza place by its cheese pizza first. This was great! Just how I like it. Thin, slightly floppy, but crisp on the outside. It was the best slice I've had in a long time. The lasagna arrives shortly thereafter, with a roll, slathered in garlic herb butter. I thought after eating the slice that I would "try" the lasagna but save it for later. Nope! I couldn't stop! The sauce is amazing, the cheese perfectly gooey, and it was packed with flavor. This is my new Italian place for sure now. read more

Used to eat here frequently for years when I worked in the area. Always enjoyed their buffet, especially the double crust meat pizza they would put out. Was disappointed to find out, when I visited today, that they no longer do the buffet. They offer pizza by the slice but do not offer the double crust by the slice. Ended up ordering a calzone and it was really good but not what I was looking forward to enjoying. The marinara sauce they brought with it was prepackaged and cold from the fridge. Would be better if it was at least warm. I hate it when locally owned places go downhill and do away with what their customers enjoyed. Was sitting there during what should be a noon lunch rush on a Saturday but it wasn't busy like it used to be. Was just myself and one other couple and a few Doordash pickups. Hopefully they'll recognize whats driven business away and get back to what their customers enjoyed and why they used to come back. 3.5 stars but giving the even rounding it up. this place has been here for a few years in the Smyrna Tennessee area it has a fairly good following I just was hungry but didn't want any pizza.. so I perused the menu online and decided to order up some grub for delivery.. I didn't quite want any tomato saucy kind of stuff. So I chose the shrimp scampi with spaghetti in a garlic butter sauce..instead of a dinner salad cuz everybody knows I loathe carrots lol!! I asked them for a Caesar salad instead.I said is your Caesar salad like most places just romaine lettuce parmesan cheese tomato wasn't quite expecting tomato and I ask for an extra cup of Cesar they said yep no problem we could do that. so what delivery and everything 21 bucks and some change I figure out right it's like going out to an Italian restaurant without any beer it's fine and so 25 bucks cuz I believe in tipping people especially in these times it came quite quickly I was quite surprised little earlier than their ETA that was quoted. taking it out and looked really good popping off the little foil cover for the pasta Caesar salad look good for the most part. so as far as the quality of the food the Cesar Salad was a little bit of a let-down there was a ton of romaine lettuce which is good but there was way too many croutons for that little tiny single serving...and normally when you get a Caesar salad you get grated or sliced parmesan cheese on top. that's supposed to be it.. that amount of good old-fashioned Kraft Shaker cheese they just loaded it way too much. in fact I had enough to throw after I put the lettuce and everything down could shake out the cheese and almost enough to cover the dinner..so that was kind of a little bit of a letdown to Caesar was tasty was fine like a regular Caesar. but I would have definitely ask for less crutons and maybe 5 more grape tomatoes they were yummy unexpected for a Caesar but yummy. as far as the main entree it was very good although I prefer angel hair pasta this particular Italian places not have angel hair. But not surprised this is Tennessee so but nonetheless it was good the shrimp scampi was delicious could not complain about that at all nice size shrimp to jumbo shrimp... also the butter garlic noodles with a little basil or parsley it was all real tasty.. the main thing is the main course was really good...another let-down for me though a lot of times that are Italian places where I come from in Chicago if it would take out to get sliced bread no bread I didn't ask I figured it would have came with it but it didn't but it's okay. all in all service was real prompt the food was good couple of little things I nitpick about but I ate it and what I order from here again yes I would the quality was really good the fact that it was all nice and hot and nice and cold the way it should be was a good sign when it was delivered.. read more
