The service here is awful. I wound never come here again. I've been a long time customer called in an order was told 25 minutes. Got there in 30 waited another 25. I asked twice and the old white lady barked at me and told me I know your waiting., and your going to have to wait some more. Super rude I left my Togo order and I will never be back. Ordered a #11 Pho Tang, a Prawn Yakisoba and the kid's Chicken Fried Rice. It took around 57 minutes for the food to arrive, and we were notified by the staff that "chef did not show up, and the owners are not answering the phone". We waited but because of no chef and no management the Pho was perhaps the most disappointing I've had in this location for years. It tastes like water with spices, and a nasty beef fat flavor. Typically I'd give this place 3 stars, but over the past six years we've seen many occasions of brand new staff all being thrown under the bus. We were somewhat regular but after this disrespect to the food and your employees we will never return. While I realize times are hard for everyone, this place has gone WAYYY downhill literally in the last 6 months. Used to be our favorite for Pho'. The service is now almost non existent the last two times we went in, the food is bland at best and the ingredients are old or not included; the Pho' toppings etc. We won't be going back anytime soon and would not recommend to others. read more

The food was great!! We all got the pho Tang beef and we all loved it. We also all got the radioactive long island and it was strong and yummy. The restaurant was under staffed tho and the server never asked how everything was and if we ever wanted another drink, which we we're waiting to see an employee to ask for another drink but we didn't see anyone till we we done eating. I wanted to love this place (recently moved from Phoenix, where I had a frequented favorite pho spot!), but I only like it. The pho was good, not the best I've had, but the biggest downfall is that they put MSG in their pho. I didn't find that out until the 2nd time I had it, but it explained my migraine and body ache from the time before. And they only add MSG to the pho. Nothing else has it. A few things I have to say about this place. If you look in the door before you enter they "failed to comply" to sanitation requirements and it's very true, everything was sticky, my fork wasn't even cleaned it had soy sauce on it!! The bathrooms were also so gross I wanted to shower just entering. Aside from the Sanitation issue when you're done with your food double check your receipts please do the math!! They do not show all totals for what you're being charged for. After confronting about my total which was 5$ more than what was shown on my receipt I was told multiple times "I'm not sure why it does that" which isn't a good enough answer to charge me for. I will be going to house of noodle for now on I suggest you do as well. read more

If I could give them a zero I would and this isn't even about the food. the food was good. My fiancé ordered orange chicken, which tasted like panda express' and I ordered a beef and broccoli with a side salad. She brought me a garden salad when I asked for the stir fry salad but that's fine I can deal with that. I can't deal with the blatant disregard for service that the waitress and or hostess was willing to give. First of all the other woman working asked us if we wanted another drink and we said yes and then waited over 5 minutes for our waitress to walk 5 feet away from us behind the counter and fill a cup up to bring it to us. After we were finished eating we sat for almost 20 minutes waiting for them to bring a check or to bring us a box as we had a plate full of food still that should be packed up. There was another girl that shower up not looking like she worked there, when she walked in our waitress asked if she wanted food, to which she said no. They ignored us for the almost 20 minutes and then when my fiancé went up to ask for the check and a box they stopped gossiping to say "sure" then they proceeded to continue gossiping. the waitress was gossiping I believe with a friend of a sibling as she was wearing shorts that were barely shorter than the shirt she was wearing. Anyway, when we went up to pay for the food they gossiped between each other under their breathes and spoke not a single word to us. This was the worst customer service experience I have experienced ever and it was more than disappointing. If I would have been alone, I would have said some words to her about how terrible her service was. read more

Definition of "average." Nothing stood out here at all. I ordered the grilled chicken combo which came with rice and another order of meat- which I chose spicy chicken (yes, I love chicken.) Quality of food was..average. Panda express tastes better in my opinion. The plates and dining ware resembled cheap finds at a local thrift store or hand-me-downs of some sort. The waiter thought my friend "flicked" or flipped him off and told her that this country doesn't tolerate that kind of action. He could have been joking, but his tone was clearly aggressive. We even told him that my friend never did anything offensive, but he did not apologize for his misunderstanding. The customer sitting near us saw what happened and was shocked as well. Passing through and saw it driving by and the parking lot was pretty full despite it being around 3pm on a Sunday. Sat down and started looking at the pretty decent menu selection. Ordered Gyoza while we waited then ordered our main course. Gyoza came out pretty quickly and it was pretty good. Unfortunately that's all I can say as the next interaction we had was 45 minutes later being handed the check.... without our food ever coming out! I actually laughed out loud when the check arrived as I was so taken aback. They investigated and our order had never been sent to the kitchen. They offered to still cook it and it would be completely on the house, but we had to be in Eugene by 4:45 and it was just before 4pm. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Albany. I eat there once a week on average. Sam and her husband are so great! They are friendly and know how to cook! Their menu is huge with lots of delicious, fresh choices. The restaurant is very clean and they are located on Pacific Blvd, which is one of the most convenient locations, even for those that are coming off the freeway. I always choose their fresh salad with my meal. The ginger dressing is phenomenal, in fact, I always buy a bottle so I have one on hand at home at all times. Pho. I live for it. I have gone to Vietnam seeking the yummy broth. The pho here is good. But what really gets me going too, this place has GREAT fried rice. No other place in town has fried rice this good. It is a hair greasy but the flavor is epic. Go for the stir fried cabbage as well. They wok all this stuff in a well broken in wok so there is a little smokiness to all because they really cook the stuff in it instead of just passing it through a wok like other place. It's the flavor which I love. Their salad rolls are clean and tastey with good peanut sauce. So, order all of the above and you will have a good meal. If you want to be safe, they have stir fry noodles, and a full american burger menu but I have not tried it. Why bother when you can get Pho! read more

We have tried several items on the menu and loved everything we've had. We have four kids that also love the food, especially the Pho! One of my two favorite restaurants in the Albany/Corvallis area (the other being Young's Kitchen in Corvallis). I love Korean style barbeque and particularly love the Spicy Bulgogi here. I also recommend Christian's Choice, which is by far my favorite yakisoba dish on the menu (my wife often requests it mild). Their house salad dressing is very tasty as well, we regularly buy take home bottles of it. Prices are reasonable, not too low and not too high considering the quality of the food, which is high. Service has always been good for us. When mistakes have happened with the bill, missing drink refills or special requests coming out wrong (my wife has a long list of allergies and food sensitivities, so special orders are the norm for us) the staff have always been good at making it right when politely informed as to the circumstances. If you have any interest in Asian Fusion cuisine I heartily recommend giving Sam's City a try. read more

We were out on a shopping trip to Albany when we decided to have some lunch and spotted the Sam City sign saying they had the best Pho, so we stopped. We decided against ordering the pho only because they only use beef broth for their soups, and we prefer chicken broth Pho. We ordered the sampler appetizer plate, awesome, and the veggie delight, equally as awesome, and we shared them. Price was about on par for the area, $25 for lunch with water and a Thai Tea. Service was very friendly and quick, although it was around 2:00 pm when we stopped, but they were still quite busy. This is definitely on our return list of restaurants in Albany. read more

Love this pho! My girlfriend and i have eaten from here a couple times and have really enjoyed ourselves. The first time was takeout and although they got one wrong chicken item it was still absolutely delicious! They give you every ingredient you need to make the best pho ever and it helps that they bag it all up separately so you can keep out what you don't want. The food each time has been cooked to perfection and has been probably the best i have ever had! The sweet and sour chicken, general tso chicken, and spring rolls have been my favorites! Meh. I heard good things, but there's nothing stand-out about this place. The pad thai flavor was good, but definitely not the best I've ever had. The orange chicken flavor was also good, but the meat was chewy. Their thai ice tea is basically a a sugar bomb, I liked the strong flavor and creaminess, but there were clumps of brown sugar in it.
