He helped me troubleshoot over the phone by asking me some questions about my build and he diagnosed that I needed to upgrade my cooler. He told me exactly which part to order and to let him know once it arrives so that he can come and install it. I ordered the part and Sam arrived on time on the scheduled repair day. He started by running some diagnostics on my computer and then began the installation which took no more than 30 minutes. After the installation was complete, Sam let me test my computer over the weekend before submitting payment just to make sure everything was working properly and that the issue was fixed before paying. Where can I start...let's just say Sam with Sam's IT solutions was heaven sent! I accidentally deleted important data on my PC which disabled my login credentials and I could not access my computer. I work from home sometimes and this is the PC I use to do my job so of course I was extremely stressed. I put out a quote on Yelp, most places said they could not help whereas Sam immediately asked if he could call me to go over my issue. He was the most calm and gentle person over the phone, took the time to listen to my issue and gave me a solution over the phone...YES over the phone without expecting a penny in return!!!! My PC decided to break down just after the heat wave & the day I come back from Hawaii. It was probably just as sick as I was from moving so much these last couple years. I have some knowledge in building pc's but not that much. I did my youtube research, tested it all and nothing was working. Ended up hopping on yelp to find someone that was able to do it. I treat my pc like its my baby, so I really needed someone that was able to take care of her. Going through many tech repair stores on yelp, most if not all, had some bad experiences. Usually a few bad reviews dont shy me away, but like I said, my pc is my baby so I had to make sure that it was getting taken care of. I eventually messaged Sam on Yelp and to my surprise, a response within 7 mins or so. We chatted back and forth on what I knew of my pc, my parts, what I thought was wrong (which i thought it was power supply, but then my motherboard was also another issue i thought may be it), then scheduled a time to meet. Sam met with me at 6am in the morning! Very punctual too. He even came to my house so I wouldnt have to bring my giant pc over to him (i know some people dont like this, but it was a nice extra service if you rather do that). My pc did take some time to repair, I had bought new parts to replace from amazon, newegg, bestbuy, and installed it all correctly. Nothing for the longest time. I was very close to just giving up and buying a new pc. Then Sam just had a Jimmy Neutron *BRAIN BLAST* and figured the new power supply had to be faulty and boom, just like that. All my parts are still in and it was just the power supply, the first thing that I tested before calling Sam. The motherboard did get fried too so I did switch out that as well. Just my luck that 3 of 3 new parts bought were all defective. I am just happy that my pc is now back to normal and working perfectly. The location of the business serves as a drop-off for smaller electronics, and not large devices like printers, personal computers, TVs, monitors, etc. That being said, I had Sam come out to my residence following an initial call a couple days prior with my computer issues. The next time I contacted him to confirm there was a problem he was able to schedule an outcall within the same day. My location was close to his business location (South Pasadena), so your experience may vary The service is charged by the hour at a very reasonable price. Sam was very accommodating and willing to answer any questions I had. Fortunately my issue was something extremely minor due to self-negligence, which was able to be fixed in a matter of minutes, so my experience in how the troubleshooting process would go is limited. But for the short problem I needed to have addressed, Sam had equally solved the issue just as quickly with courteous and prompt service. After days of frustration I didn't care what it cost, but you can take the claim of reasonable charges seriously and he was worth every penny. I sent an email to Sam in the late evening, and there was an answer early the next morning. He came to the house and not only fixed all the programming issues but also reorganized one of those horrible piles of wires, plugs and cables that i had but couldn't tackle. In addition, he went through my whole house measuring the Wi Fi strength so that I could move about the house to work and he cleared every room in the house. He was polite, understanding, efficient and very knowledgeable and most importantly, he did not make me feel that I was an idiot for not knowing various features of my laptop and gave me very clear instructions.
