She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the entire process to me. Since I arrived close to closing time and didn't have an appointment, she let me know they would run diagnostics on my laptop the following day. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, and if repairs are needed, part of the $89 fee can be used towards the cost, which felt reasonable. The next day, Martin called to let me know there was no damage and that he had cleaned the affected keys. He explained that my laptop passed all tests, but the battery was consumed. When I wasn't sure what that meant, he patiently explained and advised that since the battery wasn't swelling and the computer was still performing well, there was no need to replace it unless I noticed issues. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and didn't try to upsell me. I was able to pick up my laptop later that same day which was less than 24 hours after dropping it off. I highly recommend Di-No for honest and fast service!

My Macbook Pro wont boot! I thought I lost everything, Pictures of my mother who recently passed away. My entire collection of music, Important word documents. I had no option but to find someone to help me out. I went down to the Americana in Glendale. It was an absolutely horrible experience. I waited for an hour just to be told they wanted an "arm and a leg" to recover data from my hard drive. So I decided I was going to ditch Apple and work with a local business. La Canada Mac popped up on my cell phone and I gave Jack a ring. He invited me over to his welcoming and professional home office. I stepped through his office door and found myself in Mac heaven. His work space was meticulously taken care of, not a speck of dust. At this point it was obvious, this guy was a Mac Jedi. He walked me through the repair process and explained the potential problems. My Macbook Pro was ready the next day for pickup. I booted it up and it blew my mind how fast it was. It was just like getting a brand new laptop. GO SEE JACK! La Canada Mac is hands down the best. Leave it to a Jedi to take care of your belongings. I had an issue with my DVD drive when I accidentally let it fall off of a cabinet.. Man Did I Pay.. 2 dents and a broken DVD drive but thank God my Hard Drive was in tact... Took it to the Mac Store at the Glendale Galleria to get it repaired and they were telling me $800 and to just get a new computer and I'm like WHAT?? So I Googled Mac Repair in my area and stumbled upon La Canada Mac.. First thing I liked was the website.. That is what kind of grabbed me.. Then after calling them and talking to Jack Bartos I found that repairing through him would be WAY cheaper, the drive would be upgraded, and that the turn around was 1 DAY!!! I was sold.. Afterward he let me know about several upgrades to optimize my computer, gave me a great price and now I basically have a 2011 Mac Book Pro.. Yelp led me to Jack, and Jack did an AMAZING job for a totally fair price. His hours are convenient and he even came and dropped the laptop back off and gave a demo about how best to take care of it. Here is where the Yelp system really works. Needed somebody reliable and experienced to fix a family member's Mac (and, being COMPLETELY Mac-impaired, it would've been easy for me to end up going the wrong direction). He gave me constant updates about timing and progress. If I could give double the five stars, I would. What a terrific experience. Jack is a pro and a very nice man to boot. Jack was seriously the best!! I took my computer to Apple initially and they told me that to fix my computer, it would cost $800 due to an (invisible) hardened liquid that caused my computer to not turn on. When i took it to Jack for a second look, he told me-within 3 minutes- that there had been a small magnet that was blocking my charger portal, causing my computer to not charge. He fixed my computer and even gave me one of the keys that I had been missing. On top of that, he updated my computer, checked my battery, and cleaned my keypad and screen. Overall, it was the best IT repair experience I've ever had. I highly recommend taking a Mac to him before the genius bar at Apple. read more

I have been the the "genius" bar at the Mac store many times leaving frustrated feeling that I could do a better job then them, but not with Jack. Jack has a very welcoming and charming personality. I have been an Apple user for years. My first computer was a Mac Plus. He diagnosed my problem and then kept the computer, so he could do some upgrades. It was a great experience to work with someone I respect and trust. Our network at home has been a nightmare with the spinning wheel and dead zones. I called La Canada Computers after receiving 3 other bids. Jack gave us a great deal and installed new routers and extenders. our speed in constant with 80Mps to 100Mps. way up from 10Mps. Very very happy. read more
