We were looking for a concrete slab probably more on the smaller side than most concrete companies were willing to put their time and energy into giving us a proper quote for. Not these guys. Out of all the companies we contacted Sam the Concrete man was the only one who came out to survey the property before giving us a quote (thousands less than the other guys too). There was no leadership in the driveway project. I had to babysit the project myself, they weren't going to rebar pin to the existing slab until I told them to. The cement truck arrived and they hadn't formed the step until I mentioned it. The first cement truck couldn't get the dry concrete to flow for two hours and leaked concrete water all over the road. They had to call a second cement truck in the it took another two hours for the dry cement to flow. Found out later that I was the first job that this crew had done for the company, so I was their guinea pig. There is still cement splash all along the side of my house. Burnz said he was going to get a rebate from the installer but it's been eight days and haven't heard anything. Sam the concrete man wasn't the cheapest bid and after working with Burnz, I wish I had gone with another company. He needs a lesson on customer service. read more

Kevin began a great experience when he came to explain our possible solutions to resurface our patio and deck. He was very knowledgeable and attentive to our questions and goals. Julian then picked up the project and we walked through the plan and made our final selections of color and style. The crew worked diligently to get the surface done before the rain and Kevin checked in to explain the plan for after the weather cleared. When the sun came out days later we scheduled the final work and in just a few hours the crew finished. The deck looks fantastic and I especially like the non-slip surface. Great Experience I have a smaller house (950 Square Feet). I wanted to create more outdoor living space by creating a 650 Sq. Ft. patio extension. I researched the options while looking at pavers and tile. I contacted Sam the concrete Man to explore the option of concrete. When I first thought about concrete, it did not sound exciting. However...... The salesperson Burnz and one of the concrete lead workers George came out to see me. They spent a lot of time measuring and explaining the options to me. When I talked to George who would be working on my project, he answered all of my detailed concrete questions and explained in detail what they would do. It was very obvious they understand concrete. What I didn't know is, they take concrete to a new level of detail and turn it into art. George and Freddy - the two main concrete guys were here at 5:30 AM the first day to set up the forms. They tied in the existing sidewalk and patio to make the finished project look seamless. The drainage was perfect (1/8 of an inch drop per foot for a subtle drainage you don't even realize when walking on the concrete. The lines for the forms were perfectly straight (I know because I measured every 2 feet and it was perfect). Once the concrete is poured, you do not get a second chance and these guys did it right. The following day, Freddy, George, and crew were here at 5 AM and ready to go. The concrete arrived and the concrete pour began. After the concrete was poured, these guys worked the smoothing of the concrete for 3 hours. Each time they went over it, the surface became more smooth. The location of the expansion joints and how the joints came together were perfect. This is when it begins looking like art. The finished project is beautiful and I now have expanded my living space.
