She explained the process in a way that made it easy to understand, walked us through what recovery would look like, and made sure we felt completely comfortable with the post-procedure exercises. She emphasized that the decision was 100% ours to make, based on her expert recommendations, and we never felt pressured. When she took him back for the frenectomy, we were nervous -- but when she returned, he wasn't even crying. In fact, he looked instantly relieved, which gave us so much peace of mind. But only x rays of the teeth that needed work for some reason? They did not take X-rays of her entire mouth and we didn't know that. We assumed her entire mouth was X-ray. so two months later, after we were told by the dentist Brandon all her other teeth looked good, she has a big cavity. Probably past the point of repairing and she'll need another cap which is outrageous. Why wasn't an xray of her entire mouth taken? If not why weren't we told to come back and take more X-rays for a more in depth inspection? This could have been caught but due to the negligence of the dentist she has another cavity TWO months later! Absolutely ridiculous. My wife called and very politely asked questions and the lady at the front desk said when you come to you appointment on Thursday you can talk to the dentist. Today she shows up to the appointment and they are refusing to help my 4 year old. They didn't call to cancel or refuse our service. They wanted to embarrass my wife and children and tell them in the waiting room. Brandon refuses to talk to us about it. What a stand up place. Very poorly handled. No apologize was given no explanation from the dentist. Save yourself a headache and more damage to your kids and don't go here.

Dr. Maurer is amazingly kind and caring and he is a great dentist. A little about the office (I just copied from my review of Dr. Olen): Unfortunately they didn't get the giant flat screen TV's till I was too old to go there, but they are great for keeping kids entertained while in the dentist chair. They even have grape flavored gloves! The technicians are the nicest women around - as is the office staff. They were always willing to work me in in an emergency.

Their forms are easy to complete online. They send appt reminders via text so very easy to work with. I took my son first because of the concerns I had and they took him back without me. Remember he is only 4. He came back out super happy and had no issues getting x-rays and a cleaning. I had to schedule an appt to have the tooth pulled. I then made that appt for a month later as well as a cleaning appt for his twin sister for the following week. Again they took her back and did x-rays and cleaned her teeth without me and she was great. So now both my kids love the dentist. They get a toothbrush, they get a toy, they love this place. Now my daughter is upset that her brother "gets to go to the dentist today" and she doesn't. Today was my sons appt to have his tooth pulled and I had tears in my eyes because he was so excited to go and I knew he was going to have to get the needle in his gums and would be traumatized by the dentist from now on. I am SO glad I have found a dental "home" here now. I haven't enough compliments to give to not only Dr. Scharer, but also to the amazing ladies that run the behind-the-scenes here. They keep this office in tip-top shape (warm, welcoming and CLEAN!) and are so wonderful to interact with. I feel like I could be friends with them in real life, they are respectful and have a great sense of humor while keeping things dignified.
