Now I did do as the baker suggested and let it get to room temperature in 100° weather on the ride home. I think that it pretty much came up to room temperature. The frosting was soft, but it had a horrible taste, and the cupcake itself not good at all. I guess I just should've walked out when I saw the cases were more than half empty.
