Worked most of 2/28/24 with Chris and James on financing to purchase a '21 F150. Told them heading there on 2/29 (from Houston ~3.5 hrs), had to go to credit union as soon as they opened to get cash for down payment. They said they would hold the truck. (Have all the texts.) An hour out from arrival, they texted that the truck sold. Excuse was that "they" sold it out from under them. We'll never know the truth but what we do know is that we don't want to do business with a company who finds that behavior acceptable, who doesn't have clear communication with each other much less with the customer or where dollar signs are more important than people. That always shows up in quality of service. This being the perfect example. Unfortunately, we should've read some of the google, yelp, etc. reviews first. They make repairs that are not needed, what you asked for get overlooked. You bring it up to their attention they ask you to bring your car back and assure you there will be no charge because it was their fault then they throw a $700.00 bill at you if you want the repair to be done. Their comment to me was you have an old car it's not a new one. Now my car is worse than when I first took it in after $1,200.00 bill, not a trustworthy place. In 2016 I bought my truck brand new )had 35 miles). It came with mud tires, nice rims and window tint. I never knew the window tint was illegal until this year when I tried to get the inspection done. I went directly to Sames Ford to talk to the manager Hector. He told me to take it to Evans's Glass to get it removed and I would have to pay $50. I said why would Ford sell me a truck with illegal tint and make me pay $50 to remove the tint. My truck is going to look stupid with no tint. He said have them put a light tint. Went to the Evan's glass and I asked how much they charge to remove the tint and they say $30. I recently brought my car in to be fixed for transmission issues for the FOURTH time. I was schedule to drop it off 24 Jan 2018 and I did. Later I was told they wouldn't be able to make any repairs until the 25th so I'd have to leave my vehicle over night. I agreed. When I finally picked my vehicle up it was still sputtering and later that night when I put it in reverse the whole vehicle was vibrating and making roar like sound. I have a tracker on my vehicle and I got pretty suspicious. I go to look at the tracker notifications and I see my vehicle was had not been touched for the whole day of the 25th until I went to pick it up. On top of that it shows the device was never unplugged and on the 24th my vehicle had only been touched for a total of 2 minutes. 2 days prior I had taken my car to good year and was notified of every time my car was moved or a door was opened even if they'd unplugged the device. read more

Truck had been running rough for a while after changing plugs and wires. Took Truck in for a second opinion and they were able to figure out all i needed was 1 fuel injector replaced. This is only the third bad review I've ever left, but this dealership is horrible! The service advisors lie and don't follow up on promises they've made. I brought my vehicle in for warranty service and was told that the noise my transfer case was to be expected in that model, but that problem was never even listed on the service order so how did the tech know that he was supposed to check it? Also, after a year of stories that didn't coincide with the previous story I quit calling about the backordered parts needed to repair my drivers seat. Finally this morning I decided to give them one more try for a simple repair on a vehicle I bought last week from another dealer but when I called this morning the phone rang and then just hung up. However, they LIE A LOT to get you to purchase the car. They say they do a 150 point inspection, claiming they change the oil and check if there is anything wrong with the car and all. In fact NOT TRUE. The car I got, which is a Kia SORENTO, cost me 21K, I choose to finance. It came with several problems that I only got to figure it out later on. Once I reach out to the dealership regarding those problem such as some pieces of the seat that were broken, so I couldn't more it back and fourth, the door handle, which woudnt allow me to open the passenger door from the outside, and other little things, they said to bring the car over that they would take a look and order the parts. I did as they asked and brought the car over, they checked and said they would order the part and we schedule an appointment to get it fixed. When I went there on my appointment day NOTHING WAS ORDERED!!! I scheduled another appointment and THE SAME THING HAPPENED... nothing was ordered AGAIN and even more upsetting my name wasn't even on the appointments list. So basically I get the car in april, run through so many problems since then, then It comes the time to change the oil. I take to a place to change the oil and they are not able to because the little cap that you supposed to open to change the filter which is also changed at the same time as the oil was 100% stripped. So, I take my car again to the dealership and they are not able to change the filter because of this piece, neither the oil. MEANING THE SO CALLED "INSPECTION" THEY DO IN THE CAR BEFORE YOU BUY IT IS 100% BULLSHIT. IF THEY WOULD HAVE INSPECTED AND CHANGED THE OIL THEY WOULD HAVE FIGURED IT OUT THAT DEFECT ON THE FILTER CAP. THEY SOLD ME A CAR WITHOUT EVEN CHANGING THE OIL!!!!!! TO COMPLETE MY NIGHTMARE WITH THIS DEALERSHIP I'VE BEEN TRYING TO CALL ALEX THE GUY FROM PARTS AND SERVICES AND HE IS NEVER THERE. I've been calling and leaving messages for more than 5 weeks! Took my 2017 Ford Expedition as a walk in on a Monday to be told I needed an appointment. Scheduled the appointment for Wednesday. Dropped off on Wednesday no call or update by service guys. Called and left several messages from Wednesday to Thursday. Finally Friday morning I get a call saying that they have been backed up and that they still hadn't even checked my vehicle out to see what's wrong. I called the service department every 2 hours until I had a diagnosis. My vehicle was still not fixed they said maybe Monday we can get to it but you won't have it back before Wednesday of the next week. This service is completely unacceptable! They broke my rear view mount of the windshield while changing out the dashboard and never told us they broke it. My wife picked it up and went to adjust the rear view mirror and it came off in her hand. I looked and it had been glued back on, it was missing pieces of glass on the windshield, the missing pieces were not on the rear view mirror or any where in the car. read more

The scheduling on their website is completely misleading. I made an appointment for a works package. When I arrived at the quicklane the service rep told me no appointments only walk-ins. 1.5 hour wait to get service. Appointments were for service at the dealership which does not do "works" packages and does not communicate with quicklane. I've used quicklane service for the last 6 years at many locations and states. This one is the only one that did not honor appointments. More to the experience, back and forth from dealership service to quicklane. All proving to be a waste of time despite some assurances to reduce the wait. In the end no resolution only a smug refusal to honor an appointment by the quicklane service rep. Had to go. Carved out a couple hours to get this done. Do not go here If you value your time or don't have unlimited time in your day for vehicle Maintenance. Until now I've had no issue with quicklane so didn't read the reviews. DO NOT USE Sames Bastrop Ford service department! I always thought I would get the best service for my Ford F-150 Platinum at a Ford dealership but that is certainly NOT the case here. October 19, 2018 I took my F150 in for a 100,000 mile check up and tune up....I couldn't tell a difference when I picked it up. I called Jason in the service department and asked him if they did anything on my truck at all for $2065.75 besides replace the rear tires. He assured me they did. February 2019 I was in a minor fender-bender. I asked the auto body repair place to check the brakes I was told that I had very little brake pads and my rotors were warped. How did I go through new brake pads in 3-4 months? I took it back in March for a radiator leak repair and diagnostics to see what was causing the strange noises I was hearing and because Ford guarantees their work. I spent another $2092.68 but my truck still didn't drive or sound right even though they found and repaired a radiator leak so I took it to another mechanic. He found a broken seal, the wrong size boot was installed on the CV boot, broken differentials, someone used a torch on one of the bolts. I will never let any Sames Bastrop FORD dealership work on my F-150! I have requested a $2000 refund for the broken seals, boot replacement and differential work but there has been no response whatsoever. read more

On my way into corpus I noticed my tires were low in air ,so i went to a local tire shop ,had the preasure checked and had them put 42 psi in each tire just so I could get to a dealer , sames took the car in an told me that the nitro had to be replaced , ,they did not do what i was charged for ,and my tires where still with the same 42 psi's where they are suppose to be set at 35 psi ,talk about getting ripped off $133.00 just to have the car on the rack for an hour ,my tires are still at 42 psi ,if I had known in advance about there service I would of driven back and had them checked at every gas station ,what a rip off .and they state that they discount veterans ,which they didn't ,that's another rip off.if I had read your reviews I would of gone elsewhere. read more

If you need your truck serviced then this is not your place. I scheduled service back in Mid October. I was told they would need my truck for half the day if I showed up between 7 and 9. Went this am at 7:30 and the service guy asked If I had appointment. I said yes with James. The service guy responded, "oh he doesn't work here anymore". Well I made an appointment so it should not matter if he doesn't works here, he made me an appointment. He replied with, "we're very busy and trying to get out of here for the holidays"!
