1 year ago, I purchased a 2025 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The sales man Thomas Velasquez was honest. THE F&I person, Jonathan Lightfoot is the one you need to watch very close. He does everything in a hurry. He does not care about anything but closing the deal. I had a trade in and I also put down $4000 down. I did not need the down payment. My monthly payment was still $600. Jonathan Lightfoot should focus on doing what is best for the buyer and not be overly concern with lining his own pocket. Jonathan Lightfoot is the reason car sales have a bad rap. I will never do business with them again. He did not try very hard to find me a better interest rate. Unprofessional. I bought a 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage and the first time I tolled window a up and down the back driver side window shattered. I went in person to try to get it inspected and fixed. I was turned away by a salesman who created his own scenarios for over 20 minutes basically telling me that I was lying. I went ahead and left fixed my window at my own expense. The following day I wanted to test the windows again roll up and down and the back window again malfunctioned and came out out of its track and almost fell out of the window frame itself. I try to get a hold of the general manager and he has not responded to any of my messages, voicemails or calls. I am basically being ignored. There is a MALFUNCTION obviously with my back door window!!! I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau our local news and contacting legal advice. read more

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THESE LIAR LIARS! They threw on a $7,000 warranty package on and hide all the numbers in their knew computer signature system where you don't see any numbers. You just sign. Never gave us a choice if we wanted the warranty or not. They offer you gas then make comments when you go get it. Can't trust shady people like that. Went in with excellent credit. We also had a trade in. Wife and I went for a test drive and loved the vehicle. Since there were no rebates or incentives to buy this vehicle we were hoping we would do well on trade in. We did a little back and forth and got to a price I was comfortable with. All of a sudden I notice my car is gone. My car had some expensive cargo in it and now it was gone. Found out the owner of All Star decided to do a test drive with out even talking to us. Then parks it in a different spot. I am a disabled vet and had to walk clear across the building to get to my car. When I asked for my keys the sales manager says he can only do a 1K less than what I was wanting to do. Shady! Going so San Antonio. I am absolutely beyond disappointed with this dealership. I have bought from this place once before which is what brought me back to the dealership thinking I would get the level of service they advertise but did I? Initially I applied for financing, went as far as to show up to the dealership and sat for over an hour waiting for some kind of response. Seems they only care about you being on the lot to sit and wait. Finally I had to leave for work. I was told I would receive a call to discuss what my offer was suppose to be, after being told for that hour that I had an approval. Well no phone call ever came. I reached out for over a week to the salesman to get some sort of response only at the end of that week to find out the salesman no longer works there. Didn't fill out my paperwork correctly so the dealership blamed him. Cute. Well I was finally able to get them to tell me that as soon as I had the down payment they were requesting then my approval was sitting there waiting. I reached back out a couple of times to try and get the ball rolling but to no surprise, they had no clue what I was referring to nor any recollection of my initial "approval" What a joke. But me being the understanding and forgiving person I pride myself on being, I just went ahead on June 19th and filled out a new application and started the process ALL over again. Sent in all my stubs and ID docs, then sat and waited for over a week again while they apparently did nothing with my application. I received a phone call yesterday from a. Vanessa, only to tell me someone would be calling me by 4pm to discuss which vehicle I was approved for. Mind you at this point I have zero confidence in this dealership or the lies they tell you. To no avail, 4pm came and went and no contact. For over a week this dealership was having just about every bank they work with do hard pulls on my credit report. ANYONE who buys cars knows this is not normal and its absolutely pathetic of a dealership to conduct business this way. I now have over 15 hard pulls on my credit report even though they say they only did it 6 times. I have my report in front of me. LIARS. I called them this morning to discuss why my credit was being pulled so many times and to find out why I STILL have not received word on my application. Since when does buying a car take 2 weeks to buy a car? Well I called and got passed around twice, finally landed on with Tony, whoever he is. He wanted me to email him a copy of the hard pulls on my credit. SERIOUSLY? That is to accomplish what? Diversion, nothing more. When I said forget the credit pulls, why am I still waiting for a response, he gets defensive completely ignoring the fact that I have been waiting this long and just starts in with excuses as to why so and so hasn't responded, as if they are the only ones who work at this dealership. Tells me Vanessa has been out since Monday but I have a voicemail from her yesterday LOL. More lies. Finally starts to tell me that I have 3 different apparent approvals with a high down payment(for the vehicles I wanted to buy) and when I asked why am I just now hearing this, more defensiveness saying, "you called and i'm must reading what my computer is telling me". LIKE WHAT THE F**K. This dealership is a complete joke. Even with having credit issues, I will happily never bring my business to this dealership again. Wish I could put 0 stars. I went the for service on my used 2018 Mazda 3 with 38,000 miles (which I haven't even made my first payment on yet) to get my smart city braking looked at. I dropped my car off at 10 am then they gave me a ride home on the island (which was nice) but they gave me a call about two hours later saying they needed me to drive the car with them to show them what's wrong with it. I get shuttled to the dealer and I see my car in the exact same spot I left it in, they haven't even looked at it yet (I told them exactly what was wrong with it). So basically I was out of a car for no reason. After about 3 and a half hours my car is finally done (not fixed) and by this time I'm already late for work. They said they were running my car through the wash, about 10 minutes later the man at the front desk said that they were drying it off around 20 minutes later I was wondering what took so long. They pull my car up the the front and back it in that's when I noticed that they took my Rodger Beasley plates off and put theirs!!! (I didn't buy it at all star thank god) they also put an all star emblem on my car that I absolutely did not consent to and in the process of them putting on the emblem they scratched my car!!! I would advise you not to take your car here! You'll wait for hours and nothing will get done your car will just sit there not being looked at and they'll probably mess it up even more. read more

BEWARE BAIT AND SWITCH ON FINANCING On February 22nd, 2012 I arrived to buy a car at Allstar Mitsubishi in Corpus Christi. After two test drives and several options I decided upon a 2010 Toyota Carolla S model, loaded with options with 44k mi. on it. Christian, my sales rep, and I negotiated the car from $16999 down to $15200 with $0 down payment. Christian informed me I had been financed by Navy Army Credit Union but his manager believed they could get a better rate through Teacher's Credit Union. At this point I had agreed in writing to the conditions. It took over 40 minutes and there was no response from the bank. I informed Christian I was late to work at this point. He and I decided to finish paperwork at 8pm, after I got off of work. He had offered to let me take the car. Between not having insurance and borrowing my friends car I returned in the car I came in. I spoke with Christian again around 7:45PM. He informed me that the financing manager was on his way out the door but I could still come pick up the car and sign either the night of February 22nd, 2012 or the morning of the 23rd. I elected to pick up the car the same night. I arrived at the dealership at the agreed upon time of 8:15pm. I met with Christian who informed me I would need to sign one more sheet of paper on 2/23/12 but he had me sign another agreement to terms, which had not changed, and handed me the keys. I asked if I had been approved. He answered in the positive and assured me that it was "under 10%" I asked if he had a specific number which he did not. I left the lot at approximately 8:30pm on the 22nd. Christian was going to give me a call at 10am when the finance manager was in the office. I did not receive a car at 10am. I was first contacted on 2/23/12 at 4PM. According to Christian, Allstar Mitsubishi and the credit union had allegedly a falling out and the financing would have to change. I was still financed by Navy army but it was allegedly "short the tax, title and license," Christian told me I would need to put $1300 down up front. I told him I was unable to put money down. . I arrived at 4:15PM and Christian was no where to be found. I was kept waiting for 45minutes from the time I walked through the door before an employee helped me. That Employee was Addison Gregg, Public Relations Manager. After introductions I informed Addison I was upset. He looked surprised. I told him how I felt and that if things didn't go well I would reporting back to the 1500 students I work with; letting them know how negative my experience had turned. I said this calmly and quietly. He said that he did not take threats and would not work with me. He told me to give the key back. I was shocked but complied in my confusion. As he walked away I asked nicely for his supervisor's name. Addison gave me his personal card. I left the property and called for a ride. I returned only to collect my ipod and sunglasses. Mr. Gregg, and the rest of the staff, except the receptionist, were dismissive for my entire visit. I asked several employees about the big blow out with the bank but no one had heard anything. I feel this was a tactic to make me pay more after agreeing upon a price. I called to request any copies of papers I had signed throughout the process. During this phone call I was hung up on. I called back and left a message asking Christian to fax me the paper work I had signed. I was told they got in touch with him and left the message but I did not receive any faxes. read more

Have cars listed on website marked down to incredible prices however the vehicle is not even available and they use this as a marketing ploy just to get you in the doors to try to sell you on another vehicle. I emailed about a car and Natalie called and told me to come in and ask for her. Cool. Went in and I never saw her, I was immediately pawned off on a newbie salesman. He knew nothing about the car or their options and had to continually go ask someone else for information. We drove it and heard a couple of things that we asked them to look at and see what it was and to give us a call back so we could go from there. Days later, we called and they told us the car is sold as is and other people were interested in it do we want it or not? RUDE! Why would you say you'd have it checked out then not. Don't go here. Over the weekend contacted the Dealership about 20 year old Volvo they have posted on Craigslist. A Car they repost daily. They wouldn't list price nor say price over phone but invited me down to dealership to negotiate because "they were ready to sell car". I drove to Corpus Christi from Austin and offered them $500 and they said no, but never said how much the car was worth and didn't counteroffer. So I drove to Corpus for nothing. I couldn't even speak to the User Car Sales Manager. Made no sense. I can only think they will only sell car with a "note" where they make money on financing. They send out "winning" scratch off style cards. Be sure you read the fine print, because even though you scratch what CLEARLY correlates to a win, and even though you call them to ensure that you have actually won and that it is not a scam, they will tell you that you won a prize, only for you to come in. After you do they will show you some numbers game B.S. and toss you a gift card worth MAYBE five dollars on some cheap website your computer is likely to get a virus from. I would never buy a vehicle here, or trust a dealership that plays games like that. Granted, it cannot be called a "scam" since they give you something, but in reality the gas you use to get to the house to there and back is probably worth more than the prize or their honor in doing such business. read more

If you buy a car from these crooks I feel sorry for you. My dad went in to look at a truck. They came to an agreement on a price. After running his credit they said he needed a co signer. He called my husband and he said ok. My dad was there for over 5 hours. Husband went over and signed papers. Dad was told that after 6 months he could get it in his name. 8 months past and when dad went to change over to his name we found out that those crooks had changed the papers and put it solely in my husbands name. Husband called and some smart ass sales manager told him that they didn't make mistakes. Husband called back again and spoke with another manager. He was told that the salesman remembered my husband coming over and picking out the truck. Really? We had just a week ago bought 2 brand new trucks from a reputable company. He lied his ass off. Finally got GM and was told they couldn't help him. So we are now stuck for 2 more years with another vehicle on our credit and my dad is not building his credit at all. You better believe we will NEVER give the lying crooks our business again and will continue to let everyone know how terrible they are. My credit score is not the best its a 640 mainly because I've never used it. Worst experience I've ever had. If you're in Corpus Christi go somewhere else I was told by a sale that they are not a dealership in fact there bank owned a bank is trying to sell you a car. My credit may not be the best simply because I've never really used it. But I figured I've been working a job for 4 years making close to 15 dollars an hour with $2000 cash down they could not offer me anything on the lot. And I wasn't looking for a brand new car. Remember how these people make their money they sell cars and the salesman gets paid out of that they don't want to sell you a used car. First off, the website is horrible. They never post a price. I check back once in a while when I see a vehicle I'm interested in. Same story, no prices. What do they think they are selling, something exotic? Hell, the Mercedes Benz dealer across SPID gives the prices. And when I do call I get the "come on down to discuss it". But they won't give me a price over the phone. That is insulting to me. I look online for a reason. To see the inventory and compare prices. And if I see something in my price range I'll go down and check it out. But to not be able to see a price without making calls to the dealer is ridiculous in my opinion. So, I just skip their site and their lot. Many of my friends feel the same and it's something of a joke all around town. Do not buy here.Their website had a car listed for $11,135 and on there it said to call to make sure that it's available so I called and it was available when I show up they told me I could not get that car for that price because I did not qualify so I told the manager that nowhere on his website did it say that you had to qualify. So he jacked up the price about $1000 don't know where he got that price from but it's not on the website. They tried to steer me away from the sale car and sell me a more expensive car I guess they use the sale car as a bait and switch and then when you go in they won't honor the price that they advertise on their own website. I do not recommend this place at all stay away. As you can see in the picture below nowhere does it say you have to qualify for that price. Just horrible experience ever! I was sold a vehicle by a salesman from Houston for their "scam" event of the month, sending flyers to people promising fake prices just to get them to visit their dealership. After offering me 3 different vehicles that turned out to be already sold to other clients, they put me in a '09 Dodge Journey without even asking me if I wanted to test drive it, they simply showed me what I had apparently qualified for, handed me the emergency key; never receiving a complete set of keys with a key fob. Signed the contract, which days later to sign up for automatic payment with the bank I had to read, came to find out that they had manipulated my job information to get the loan. I tried to resolve the issue by speaking with 3 different salesman which they all laughed and couldn't believe what they did to me, I spoke with the current manager who also let me know the previous manager was fired for x reason anyways the current manager who is a complete jerk even denies selling me the vehicle and never took responsibility for what the car dealership his currently manager did to me. I even asked him if they could do something about the key as they promised in one of my precious visits but he said they couldn't do anything about because they just didn't have to deal with me anymore. Now I'm stock with a load which they call "upside down loan" a truck that is now making sounds and every time I open the alarm goes off because I have to unlock it manually because I never received a key fob like I was supposed to. After 5 visits I gave up, the last thing the current manager told me was that he was meeting with the owner of Mitsubishi to discuss my case and solve my "issue" but I'm still waiting, that was 4 weeks ago... I notified customer service and the case is still pending. The owner and the people working at this car dealership know exactly what kind of business they're running and they don't care because they know they can get away with it. I will continue to warn people about this business and hopefully this won't happened to others. read more
