Place is nice when you walk in but the owner himself wanted $150 for "diagnostics" when I just wanted him to take a quick look at my car and tell me if I had a serious issue or not. He also said I'd have to pick it up the next day and that he wasn't willing to take a look then and there. Took it down the street to a different mechanic and we took it for a quick spin around the block and got the issue diagnosed and fixed for no charge lol. He quoted me $3,000 for timing belt and two hoses was willing to pay that I show up and he wanted another $2,000 for doing nothing and he never even fixed the timing belt ... If you have auto problem that is known and can be repaired, do NOT bring your vehicle to this place for repair. They will try to up charge you for multiple repairs. This is well known shady practice on the auto repair industry. If you know nothing about auto mechanics, you will be raked over the coals. I took my car in about two months ago. I have a 2013 Audi S5. I went in for an oil change that I found off of Groupon for a full synthetic. I was told that I needed brakes when I asked as to why I need a new brakes because I replaced them two years ago. I came into the shop and Sammy brought me into the service bay to show me exactly what was wrong. Initially I was afraid they wouldn't use original Audi parts because they are performance brakes, but I was reassured that they would use all genuine parts from Audi that they showed me. Front rotors and pads got replaced. I also had a oil pan gasket leak that they also fixed for me while the car was there and I don't know too much about cars, but if there's anywhere I could go to get my car fixed it's here. read more

went to sammys sept 2019 told me. need new alternator 575$ then said neeeded new battery and also problem with a/c related to. previous alternator instalation. When i was ready to.pay for repair after oking all costs above. approx 1000$ sammy told me NEW CHARGE. 45$ for Battery instalation. I said. NO WAY ni one charges anything for instalation. STAY AWAY! This place is a rip-off. They lie about the time it takes to fix your car and then jacks up the price double. He takes advantage of elderly customers. They told my father-in-law that it would be $700 and take a week to repair my car's convertible motor because the part was obsolete and he couldn't find it. It was done less than 4 hours later and told him it took him 11 hours to fix it and charged $1400 for it. They will charge you any price they think of to repair it and you have no choice but to pay it to get your car back. If you go in for a diagnosis they charge you to put your car back together just for a diagnosis. read more

Last time I bought change break pad service from groupon for this Sammy auto house, and when I went to store, that lady say if I don't buy and replace break rotors at there, they will not replace my break pads, even though I bought service from groupon. After I bought the rotors from their store, and replaced break pads like by forced which is sucks, and the break when I trying to step on the break, car sometimes a little slip, I was thinking it's something else. But about one month after, I went to another store change engine oil and doing inspection, another store's technician asked me who installed my break, looks like not install correctly, and I told them I just changed the break pad and rotor a month ago, they say probably need to reinstall it. But when I contact Sammy Auto House again, the lady say it's definitley not break problem and not even ask me to drive car to their store to inspect. then I told them I'm going to dispute the charge from them, because they are not responsible, and she immidiatly ask another guy pick up phone and again, forcing me say have to bring car in early morning otherwise they are not going to inspect and fix my break problem, since time is not be able work out, then I called bank to dispute the charge, and went to another auto store to fix my car's other parts and asked the machinican help me fix the break as well. Since it fixed by another store, I say just let it go, and asked for withdraw the dispute. but today, I got mail from bank and bank say Sammy Auto House say I never contact with them to resolve my issue, and saying false dispute, how do you have face to say I didn't contact you to resolve the issue Sammy auto house? You are a lier saying customer is lier, you make me really feel disgusting. If it's not the bank send me this information too late after I withdraw my dispute, and the bank repsentative ask me let it go, I definitly going to fight until the end. read more

He did extra work on the used car that I had not expected. So I am very satisfied. His repair costs are not the cheapest but his work and reliability are the best. We brought in a '96 Firebird for a tune up, exhaust manifold repair and oil leak repair. The estimate was $2500. It ended up costing $4200, without authorization. The oil leak was worse than before and they would not stand by their guarantee. They said that the leak was new and not the one they worked on. read more

This is a ripoff outfit. Stay away from them. While I was waiting for them to diagnose my air conditioner (which was working, just not well) a young woman came in with a flat tire. They said it was the valve stem and were going to charge her $90 to fix it. For a $5 part. She said forget it, put on the spare and then they told her they were going to charge her $30 to put on the spare. She said her roadside assistance would have done it for free and made a big stink. Finally they put on the spare for free, probably because I was watching them. They spent an hour taking apart my air conditioner (very slowly) and told me I needed a new compressor for $1200. I told them to forget it and to just put it back together., When I left the shop it wasn't working at all. I left it at Avant Auto Repair today on 2nd Ave. Seems THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THE COMPRESSOR. It has a slow leak from another part (the evaporator) and a freon charge will fix it temporarily at least until I decide to fix the evaporator (also an expensive repair). I dodged a bullet with Sammy's. DON"T GO THERE! read more

This should be referred to as Samm'y Auto House of Horrors. My car broke down on Hillsboro and Military Trail, just a few blocks down from this seemingly 'honest' mechanic shop. Luckily with my iPhone I was able to pull up some local shops and narrowed it down to Sammy's Auto House since they offered free towing within 10 miles. What a great deal! They were nice enough to tow my car without me being present (unfortunately I had left my front door unopened when my car decided to give out on me) and they brought it back to their shop to see what the problem might have been. I get a phone call the next day and they said the repair would be $700 to repair the starter, $150 for the 'labor' and $65 for the tow. I was completely shocked! I said I would call back to let them know what I would like them to do. I contacted a mechanic I used previously (located in Boynton Beach) and got an estimate of around $250 including labor the following day. It is now day three that I decide to contact 'the most honest mechanic ever' and I state that I would prefer to take my business elsewhere only to find out that not only do I have to pay ridiculous fees (including false advertising of a 'free tow') but that my car had already been repaired and that I need to come pick it up! Oh, and they were nice enough to wash it for me. Not only are they frauds, scam artists and liars, they are simply the scum of the earth in my opinion. If you were lucky enough to get good service from this place I applaud you, however, I have yet to be convinced that the positive reviews below were from actual customers and not Sammy's Auto House (of Horrors) themselves trying to repair the bad name they've achieved over the years of scamming innocent customers who don't know any better. I recommend you stay far, far away from this auto repair shop. My mother had a similar experience to the previous poster. She had gone to another mechanic to get an estimate, and she wanted to get a second estimate so she brought it to Sammy's. They never mentioned any fees up front, and when she decided to pass on their estimate (3x more than the other shop), she was told she would not be able to retrieve her call until she paid a $130 fee. I repeat, she had never been informed up front that there would be a fee for the estimate. Luckily she was able to dispute the charge right away but what a terrible experience and shady business practice. It's a shame that there are untrustworthy mechanics out there making us wary of all repair shops. Stay away from these guys -- you've been warned. read more

NEVER GO HERE!! Went because my car stalled out and after $600 of repairs car stalled out again ten minutes after leaving their shop. They charged me another $400 to fix the original problem.
