You can tell that the owner only cares about $. I visited on 9/4/2025 and the owner changed a bulb in the back of my car. It took literally 20 seconds. It cost 22 bucks, a dollar a second! He also replaced a bulb about 7 months ago and I am still scratching my head as to if it was the same bulb. I asked him if he can guarantee that the bulb will last awhile. Okay. I get it. Time is money & of the essence blah blah blah whatever. I found this place originally because I wanted to know if this place was Vasso's (which is a shop I was referred to). However, every time I googled the place, this company showed up instead. Therefore, I decided to give them a shot since the reviews were high. I called the shop & it rang easily 15 times before someone picked up. I thought they were closed & as I was about to hang up, someone finally picked up, I asked them my question about this company being Vasso or not but was put on hold while he went to get (who I assume) the manager. When someone finally picked up the line, I politely asked again about being Vasso or not & the guy was just flat out rude. I apologized & explained to them how I found them & also explained myself professionally & in a cordially matter. Now put yourself in my shoes. I don't know much about cars to begin with, which is why I was calling referrals from people. I don't wanna get jipped because honestly? Who does? I simply wanted to know how much it would be to replace an o2 censor. I know there are two & he rudely asked which of the two. When I explained that I wasn't sure cos I literally just took my car to Autozone (or Advanced) to run a computer for the code, they told me to take it to a mechanic which he then rudely said again that he needed to know which one. So I politely asked if it would be okay for me to come in & just have them look at it & just let me know which one I needed & wanted to know the hours of operation. He sounded distraught & wanted to know the make & the model of my car, which I gave him. He then said to bring it to him & rudely said that he wouldn't charge anything just to look at it & let me know which part I needed. Listen buddy, maybe you were having a bad day, we all get them. I get it. But in all seriousness, that doesn't mean you should treat your potential customers with the utmost disrespect like this. Definitely never coming here. When I moved down here my cousin told me to use him. He worked on 2 of my cars, my cousins and my uncles and not once did he over charge or give me the run around about oh it's this or oh it's that. He is about as honest as you are going to get! His prices are so reasonable for the amount of time it takes him to get your car in and out. When one of my cars was on it's last leg - I brought it to him and he turned to me and said - I have no clue what is wrong with it and I'm not going to take everything apart to charge you a ton of money just so I can tell you again I don't know what's wrong with it. Rami is OUR ANGEL AT HAMPTON GARDENS CONDO. Snowbirds leave their cars when they return up north .. so batteries always dead. Rami comes to the rescue, drives over to take out the battery and comes back later when it's charged. Recently we had a little bump on our car and he took care of that as well.. Rich A. 8/8/2019 Seeing the reviews a few months ago, I went to check my battery. Said everything was good and he didn't charge me. I decided to go see him again because only if I slammed down the trunk would the inside lights go on, but the car would many times not start. My friend up North who has worked on cars before felt it was a loose wire to the battery, and because of what happened with the trunk and when I jiggled the wires, I felt it made sense. Every month this would happen and twice I called AAA and they told me it was the battery. Thank God I didn't buy the battery. Rami said the battery was good and he would look into it. I got home thinking what happens if it's something else expensive to fix. You never know! Well he called a few hours later and said yes it was a loose wire and the cost was $25. I guess it's no surprise that after 27 years in business, He shows his true colors. Honest and fair. You find a mechanic like this you stick with him. I have a Volvo and even though they do things right they are more expensive and probably would have charged me the full labor although that's an assumption. I'm talking about the Volvo place I went to before which was very good. I stuck with a mechanic up North for many many years because of the same straight forwardness. I first found this shop from the Mechanic's Files on NPR CarTalk website and it has excellent reviews on that website. I have been using Deerfield Auto Repair for at least 12 years. This is an excellent repair shop and Rami the owner is a great guy and a very experienced mechanic. He is 100% trustworthy and reliable and always tries to find the least expensive way to do the repair on your car. Everyone I have recommend to him has come away very satisfied and continues as his customer. You are treated like family when you are a customer and everything is explained clearly and accurately and the prices charged are usually below what the repair would cost elsewhere, sometimes way below! read more

As a relatively young (for South Florida) female, the first thing I look for in a mechanic is someone who isn't going to try to pull one over on me and charge way too much. I usually do a bunch of research and avoid places that seem like they have canned, fake reviews, no reviews at all, or bad reviews written by seemingly sensible people. As S M mentioned, these guys, or should I say this guy, as it seems like it's a one-man operation, were recommended on CarTalk's website, and I was totally happy that he was able to fix my car for cheaper than my dad told me to expect (for the first time ever in my life) and also in a timely manner. Oh, and he was nice enough to stick around after closing time for me to get a ride over there after work to pick up my car. Genuinely nice guy and really seems to enjoy working on cars. I think honesty and quality work are the most important things for a mechanic, which is why I gave him 5 stars. If I could make one improvement for convenience, I would recommend that he add a safe dropbox to leave a car key for a towed car left during after-hours. read more

My gear shift which allows the car to go between forward and reverse broke. My first estimate was in the high hundreds; I was told that they had to go in and replace the whole thing. Rami, at Deerfield Auto, was able to jerry-rig the shift for next to nothing. The fix lasted for the duration of the car. I now bring my new car to Rami and he always does a good job at a great price. When TirePlus told me I needed $400 in repairs and four new tires, I went to Rami to get the work done. He said most of the repairs were bogus (I already new that I didn't need new tires). He filled up my fluids and did the necessary repairs for under $100.
