I'm always wary of the auto repair business. I expect to get screwed so my defenses are up when I arrive. The industry just has that reputation and it must be hard for operations in that field to overcome that assumption by not only me but a lot of people. The way they win my trust is by delivering a great service that's consistent and dependable and giving me consultation that doesn't feel like an up sell. Happy to say that Sammy's Auto Spa delivered on both. It was my first trip there and upon checking in, Victor, my service specialist, gave me options and let me know what they could provide, and how long it would take. My car wasn't in terrible shape but Sammy's made a strong effort to really shine it up. They thoroughly cleaned and buffed up my interior/trunk and washed down the outside, following up with a hand wax. My car looks and smells great and the price wasn't bad - about $150 or so. Everyone in this town seems to automatically default to Sax in Grandview for detailing, which I think is a mistake considering their customer service approach is pretty lousy and their location is really run down. Sammy's is a much better alternative even though you pay a little more. Also, it's best to have someone meet you there and go do some other things while Sammy's works on your car vs. sticking around for it to be done - the waiting area is more designed for a very brief wait and can be somewhat uncomfortable if you choose to stay because it is actually situated inside the garage where they work. read more

Ok so I detail cars and this was my go to spot for car washes, especially in the winter. Unfortunately I found out I had been getting fine scratches in my paint. I would only notice it in direct sunlight. Turns out I figured out how... While Sammy's uses clean micro fiber towels but they are old and we're leaving micro abrasions in my paint. Plus you can't clean micro fiber towels with normal laundry detergent. It can cause streaks when drying and if you dry to hot, it can causes scratches in the paint. I do want to say that it is a Indoor car wash and they do it by hand. I was pretty impressed by the quality of work here, friendly staff, exceptional work. I'm just OCD when it comes to my paint. read more

Update: I went back the next day to allow them the opportunity to fix it. Lets just say I will NEVER go back to Sammys. Ive been going to Sammy's for years. Something has changed and in a bad way...see pics. I spent $140 on an interior detail and a regular wash. I dropped my car off at 11:15am and cleaned it out for about 10 minutes. (I didn't realize the trunk was a part of the service) They called me at 3:15PM and said "1 more hour". At 4:15PM, he said "I need 30-40 more minutes." At 5:00, I had to stop him and ask for my keys. I just couldn't take it. (I had my 7 month old at the drop off and the pick up) So as Im driving off, mad as EVER, I called repeatedly...each time I noticed another blemish! A lady (who wasn't on site at the pick up) answers and I express my frustration. Im sure she was 100% aware that her 1 young son and an 1 older gentleman wouldn't be able to keep up, alone. She didn't seem to care. She offered to finish it tomorrow?! Keep in mind they had it onsite from 11:30-4:30. AFTER TODAY, WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD RETURN?! They did HALF the work, in TRIPLE the time and I paid the entire quoted price. Smh... read more

Truly a hand was car wash in Ohio. The guys here washed it like and treated it like it was their own car. The prices were great to. Please keep in mind it's not a machine wash, they do it by hand. I paid $30 for my SUV. Great thing is that they are open all year too. Keep up the great job. I have been a 3 year customer of Sammy's but I will never come back. Appointments mean nothing and when you ask about them they are extremely rude and boldface lie to you about what they said. I will never come back here...if I could leave negative stars, I would. My appointment was at 2:00. It is now 4:45 and my car has yet to be washed and they are still working on the inside. I've been called a liar and told their lack of ability to detail a car is my fault. So I went to get into my car, and there was a huge grease stain on my driver's seat. They had to clean that up. They had to redo the trim on my car because they didn't get it clean, and it took over 15 minutes for them to answer if they waxed my car or not. The and is, they put on a spray wax - which to me is not the same as "hand waxing" my car. I retrieved my own car mats from the sidewalk where they were laid out to dry and when I stopped to get gas on the way home, I noticed that they didn't pop the gas door to clean inside there. read more

When you need a complete interior and exterior clean but don't have the time for a full detail, this is the place to go. I asked for the super wash which takes care of exterior wash plus a spray wax and interior clean and wipe down of dash and seats. First, I want to point out that they wash by hand, so you can avoid those unbearable swirls from drive-thru car washes. Second, I have never before seen someone take an air sprayer to the car to make sure every last drop of water was out of the cracks and off of the car until today. I drove off and when I got home, I did not see a single streak, which always happens as soon as you drive off from another car wash..INCREDIBLE!! They even got a ladder out to get above the car and clean the top of the sunroof. I was beyond impressed and all for just over $40(note they do have cheaper options if you are not looking for the full works but, this option is by far the best bang for your buck) Make sure you tip these guys, as they treat your car as if it was their own and make sure you are a happy customer before you leave. Total waste of time going to this place. In the past couple of weeks I've been trying to get my car washed and they shut down their business before their advertised business hours. In recent years if you show up at 3:30 you could get your car washed, but as of late if you show up at 3:30 they are rude and tell you that they are closed. Mind you their business hours as advertised are 10:00am - 5:30pm. Granted I understand things happen and there are exceptions, but with my experience over the course of a few weeks I've always been told they are closing and not accepting anymore cars. Additionally when calling the business in advance to check if their hours are still as advertised their staff is rude if they happen to answer the phone when asking simple questions. Total turnoff and terrible customer service. The positive about their business is that when they work on your car and actually clean it I am 100% satisfied because the quality is good. If changes aren't made I do not recommend this business to anyone. read more

These guys don't mess around. I have never gotten my car detailed and, frankly, have not washed it in over a year. Someone threw a slushy on it about four months ago and it has slowly changed from orange to black and I thought it was starting to peel the paint. You get the idea. When I called to make my appointment, they said it would take 2-4 hours, depending on the condition of the car. It ended up taking about six hours (not because they were slow. They told me they had to shampoo it four times). When I came to pick it up, it looked like a new car. They even got the embedded dog hair out of my headrests. I can't recommend this place enough. I've been coming here for a while now and today is the final straw. Upon paying for my car wash the employee came up to me and said that I would be charged extra for the amount of mud on my car. I mentioned to the owner that it would have been nice to have been made aware of this prior to the wash beginning to at least give me the option as a customer on whether I was willing to pay an additional $10 for services. After reading all the amazing reviews I was very excited to take my car to Sammy's Auto Spa for a wash and an interior cleaning (pet hair & vacuum) However my experience was not what I expected. They did not clean the interior at all, there was still stuff at the side of the doors, they did not clean the cup holders and did a horrendous job at vacuuming the carpet. I cannot believe I paid for this. There were two ladies, one of the girls was nice however the other one was rude and seemed to be in a rush (no customer skills whatsoever). The only good thing about this was the car wash! I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to having my car all nice and clean. I'm not sure if I went in at a bad time? I was so excited to get my husband's truck detailed as a gift for Father's Day, but several things disappointed me. I made an appointment for 1:00 which the job was to take 2-3 hours, we dropped the truck off at 1:00 expecting to pick it up at 3:00 to 4:00 but did not get it until after 6:00. The job was pretty good, they did not get the top of the cab of the truck clean, did not clean around the inside of the doors,did not clean behind the box on the bed of the truck and the rims of the truck was not properly clean, my husband took his fingernail and scraped the grim away. The windshield was to have rain-X on it, which was not applied. I was told the job would be $249.95, it was $259.95. Needless to say, I will not go back and my car needs it bad. read more
