It's under new ownership now, called The Dock now, but the place looks the same inside and the menu is only slightly updated. I've been there 4 times now- the pizza is solid (only thing I'll go back for), the burgers are inconsistent (last night they were served on cold buns??), the pork chops smothered appeared to be pounded out meat and the cheese on top was bizarre (sliced provolone maybe?), the Cuban sandwich was not a Cuban sandwich (not sure what they were thinking on this one but not really edible ... in my opinion), fries are good if the fryer is hot and oil changed (but I'm guessing it's a mess in the kitchen). I'm hoping they read this and fix things since I love this spot and would like consistent food (even if only good)! read more

Great food, friendly atmosphere, friendly staff. Grilled haddock and Sammy spuds are incredible. I'd gladly come here again to try other items from the menu. However it is pricey and wait time is somewhat long. I know everyone needs to make their money, but if you know Spotted Cow, you know it's good beer, but it isn't worth $4 a bottle. read more

Service disappointing Pam is rude Restaurant had 22 tables with one eating Took.our order after 50 plus minutes we asked where r food was told another half hour Yet we asked waitress twice before and she did it's coming. We finally left never got our food. We asked Pam what was taking long she said had yo feed volleyball team. If you plan to eat, you'll want to make sure you're on "the list" as it is first come first serve. They don't have a hostess or a staff who is attentive to someone new entering their establishment. They should have a sign or something to notify you of their process to order food. Once we got to order almost two hours later, it took an additional 30 mins for our food to arrive. We had the grilled haddock and Cuban melt, which were both tasty. It's a nice north woods venue and drinks were good and reasonable priced. read more

We've been going to this restaurant for years. Food has always been good, but with the current owners, here's the deal......seems they keep you waiting at the bar for the bar business. It's a Thursday night and our dinner experience took 3+ hours to get a pizza?? Food is good, but not worth the wait. If you need more help - well, ok. But It's not like we ordered separate meals for a table of 6. ONE pizza - I wish I would have stayed home. Not worth the aggravation. read more

Really enjoy this place! Very friendly. Woodsy bar atmosphere... with excellent food. Menu has a great variety from apps to sandwiches to wonderful steaks and shrimp. Food came out quick, hot and delicious. I've seen a couple reviews saying the food is slow. This is a bar restaurant...But with high-quality food. I can only imagine it takes a bit of time to produce high-quality food from a tiny little bar kitchen. read more

Awesome cheese curds! Delicious!!! They were perfect. Good color, good texture. I was impressed they didn't taste like oil or burnt... I think they actually know the secret (fried on clean oil!) If you stop here, you must have them! read more

Poor service and very rude staff. I politely asked one of the staff members if we could order and she snapped at me saying we're on a "list" and we'll have to wait our turn. It took forever to order and the food was extremely salty. Not a good experience! read more

This is a local bar with a small restaurant. Stopped by last January on a Friday eve to try their fish, which I had heard was good. Got their fish platter, included two pieces of haddock, two perch, hashbrown cheesy bake, three large shrimp and a substantial salad. All was absolutely excellent. Stopped by again two weeks ago and had same great meal. Had to wait half hour for table, but this is the height of the tourist season on the local lakes. I am in the process of moving from MO to a home I purchased on a local lake. Part of this process includes finding the best fish fries in the area and Sammy's is at the top right now. read more
