Finally got some samosas as I had a really bad craving for them. I remember the days when I was still in high school, there would sometimes be students selling samosas to raise money for the school dance or prom. I practically begged mr. Tran to get some, and he finally agreed to take me to samosa king to get some. There was a long line walking in, and there were lots of specialty sweets in the window display. Although the queue was long, everyone came for one thing - samosas. The workers behind the hot food counter were fast and efficient, making sure your orders were correct. Since so many people would buy dozens at a time, the back kitchen were pumping out fresh batches every 20 minutes or so. By the time it was my turn to order, I got $4 worth of samosa (3 samosas/$1) and $2 worth of deep fried spring rolls (3 rolls/$1) and one large container of tamarind sweet sauce for $1. Such an amazing deal! Got too excited and ate a spring roll, still hot and crispy, it was vegetarian, but seasoning a tad bit bland, but you can taste the black pepper. Tried the samosa next, and yes, this was it. This is what I had been craving for. With the sweet tamarind sauce. Stuffed with potato and peas with spices that elevate your senses. Samosa do look a little smaller than before, and I feel like they can put a little more potato stuffing inside, but 3/$1 is still such a good deal, can't really complain.

This place is popular because it is cheap, but the food isn't great. The samosas were fresh but somehow both very spicy & flavourless at the same time. The stuffing was chili potato but the spice blend was bland or non-existent. It was below average except for its freshness (Datta nearby is cheaper & tastier) Urid Vada was better - fresh with a good flavour. It had a light dusting outside so it had a  good crisp. Masala Chai was ok.

Dropped in today for a goat meat taali, a large portion of chicken tikka masala, samosas (4 for $4), and a large green chutney. $6.99 included: brown rice, veg1 (spinach/bhaji) and curried goat meat, with separately packaged, a second veg2 side (I chose curried mixed veg) +incl. 1 beautifully charred naan. Must highly recommend the spinach, somehow it has a deeply enjoyable smokiness. I also picked up (also at the hot food counter) a large (single/à la carte) order of Chicken Tikka Masala. This was so delicious, so herby, spicy and moist (admittedly a lil on the oily side, tho) The goat produces another rich stew with tasty and tender protein at its centre. I also left with the requisite pack of samosas, along with a 'requisite' large green chutney (utilize some for the samosas, but reserve the greater portion as seasoning sauce for seasoning every.time.

The most delicious and affordable samosas in the GTA! I usually get a large box to share with people and freeze some as well.

Samosa King has been a popular Scarborough fixture for many years, and for good reason. They offer a wide variety of South Asian dishes, pastries, and desserts, but they're most well-known for their tasty and cheap samosas (used to be 5/$1 pre-pandemic, currently 3/$1). Their samosas are on the smaller side, but are crispy, tasty, with a decent amount of filling on the inside, especially at this low price point. It's honestly the perfect quick snack on the go. Highly recommend checking them out, great spot to buy a box of them instead of Timbits to spice up your next gathering!

Samosa King is my go to restaurant for samosas and curry! The samosas are super cheap, but also very fresh and flavourful! The curry is also well spiced and comes out hot! The staff are polite and very quick and efficient. Despite there normally being a line up, especially for the samosa side, the line goes by pretty quickly. The restaurant, itself is kind of small, and there is no indoor dining. You have to spend over $10 in order to pay by card as well. They only accept cash and debit. The parking lot is a bit annoying since it's cramped, however if you park further back, there are usually enough spots there. It's also accessible by TTC and only a very short walk from the closest TTC stop.

Entrance faces the street, lots of parking in back of plaza. One has to walk by all the windows first before getting to the front doors and to the back of a long line(me here Saturday at 3:30pm back of line) Keep following the long carpet runner for the Samosa line up, the front counter by entrance is for curries and desserts. Masala tea $1! Hot roti $0.75/each Vegetable samosa 5/$1.00 Dipping sauces (sweet $0.25, green hot sauce $0.50) There is a samosa place across the plaza with same prices but the line up at King says lots about the cult following here. Samosa has a light deep fried wrapping with mild Indian curried potatoes and peas inside. Great as a snack and to bring to pot luck/parties. Reheats great in toaster oven next day too and spice will fill the house with its aromatic warmth.

My go to for samosas but also for other south Asian goodies such as dosas. They have a really great selection of deserts as well and I was happy to pick up some ladoos. The price can't be beat, no wonder this place is so well known. Wish I lived closer. I'll usually stop by when I'm in the area. Check them out if you are in north Scarborough.

This is more of a takeout place than a restaurant. They have the cheapest samosas in Toronto. 5 for $1. The size is small but filling is good. Most of the time I have been there, there was a huge lineup for the samosas and other Indian snacks and sweet. They a have an assortment of Indian curries, rice and noodles.

One would only go here for comfy Indian take out. Veggie samosa 5 for $1 is just hard to beat and they have veggie combos for only $3/4!! Great for vegetarians and vegans!! Location: 2.5/5 Not the easiest place to park and you have to walk all the way back to Finch from the parking lot for their actual entrance. It is also a bit east on Finch and Middlefield. The plaza that it is in is pretty sketchy... Decor/Ambience: 3/5 This place is clearly/mainly only for takeout. I like how colourful their displays are though and they have hundreds of options from snacks, to mains and curries to desserts all in different rainbow colours! You order from their long counter and then you line up to pay at the far end. Service: 3/5 You order at the counter and they immediately get your food and you line up to pay. It is not a sit in restaurant, so no other service. Food quality: 4/5 Their samosas were not only cheap but topped with veggies inside and not small either! This place has many vegetarian and vegan food options! Would definitely come back here for take out! Value: 5/5 (6/5) lol What really sold me was the value of their veggie samosas, 5 for $1?!? Wow! I now know where to go whenever I have a craving for samosas or in need of a easy and affordable food item for a large party. Their combos come in huge portions too for only $3-5! Just incredible! Super family-friendly!! Overall: 4/5 I would have given this place 3 stars, but it is rare to find a place with such cheap vegetarian and vegan food! So I can totally see myself coming back whenever I'm hosting a party or going to one, because what can go wrong with a delicious Indian veggie combos or samosas?!?

We also tried that hot chai and it was the best. May be chai is one of the few reasons this restaurant manages to get customers inside its doors amongst heavy competition.

The rice to meat ratio is wild! The flavour notes were mint, cilantro and cream. So great! I've never had Haryali Chicken in a gravy style dish. Mutton Haleem - we liked this as well. It's not as stringy as some other places. You can definitely taste the mutton flavour here! Naan - can't go wrong with naan! It's super fresh, fluffyyyy and hot! While we waited for our order, I chatted briefly with the owner. He was really nice. He even offered us some Irani Chai, a welcome treat in the cold winter. We waited outside while drinking hot chai sweetened with condense milk (yum!!). He didn't let us pay for the chai which was a very kind gesture! COVID: Masks on for guests and staff are being a glass/plastic barrier, no masks on staff.

You can get place a large samosa order the same day. - This eatery is on DoorDash, Skip the Dishes, and Uber Eats. On Saturday, I dropped by Samosa Fusion to check out its all-day buffet. We were a fairly large group of twelve hungry folks wanting a brunch feast! Staff were busy getting all hot foods to the buffet, so we had to wait a while before we could dive in. Staff were extremely hard-working. There were a few details that could use some improvement. We didn't get any water while we waited for the food to be set up at the buffet. I was getting thirsty and asked for water. I got a glass and the owner apologized. We then got pitchers of water throughout our meal, which was much needed! The buffet has a lot of good eats. It's decently priced for what you get. The carvery had tandoori chicken stuff with biryani. It also had devilled eggs and what looked like chicken stuffed with greens that I never got around to trying. I went for the curries: - Goat - Butter chicken - Aloo matar - Chana masala The last three were fantastic. They were flavourful and yummy. The goat was tender, but it was extremely gamey. I got biryani and veggie chow mein. The former was an excellent base for the curries. The latter was a nice change-up option. The chow mein was delicious. I got cucumber and tomato slices. They were refreshing. There were also sliced carrots and more in a tray. I ended up getting one of the passion salad bowls. The potatoes, peas, pineapple chunks, green beans, and more were so good. I wish that the buffet had more fruit. Pineapple was the only fruit in the salad and in the pineapple raita. The latter was nice, but the pineapple chunks were small. I am a fruit person, so it may have been fine for someone who isn't as enthusiastic about fruit as I am. I got a samosa. It was huge! It was stuffed with a lot of potatoes. I enjoyed it. As an aside, HK Garden next door and Samosa Fusion are owned by the same folks. The same samosas are available at both locations. If you need samosas for a catering event, staff can do it the same day. I asked whether they needed a day's notice. Nope, they made 500 for hungry Home Depot employees in a couple of hours or so. Wow! We also got naan. It was hot and perfect with the curries. There were a couple of dessert items. I am always a fan of pudding. The bread butter pudding was superb. The chopped almonds provided a nice contrast to the yummy pudding. I am fortunate to not have any nut allergies. However, a note about nuts would be helpful to those with severe nut allergies. I did appreciate that staff labelled the names of everything at the buffet. It's located in a fairly busy plaza. On a Saturday afternoon, I got a parking spot fairly close to the restaurant. This eatery is on Skip the Dishes, Uber Eats, and DoorDash. It's good to know. I had a good time here with friends. I'd return for more good eats. (122)
