3 days ago-Edit Stopped by the establishment for the first time yesterday 10/14/20 I was visiting an elderly friend who resides in the area. She asked if I could play lottery for her. I agreed although, I am a novice with lotto. I walked in, there was a short wait as there was a Caucasian couple playing lottery. The clerk assisted them and was very pleasant as well as patient. Once he was finished assisting the previous customer he left the counter leaving me standing there. After a brief wait he returned and I explained I needed to play lotto and wasn't experienced doing so. Again he left the counter without explanation, nor an excuse me nothing. He proceeded to crab a bottle of water from the refrigerator. Once returned I rattled off the first number to him. He informed me I must fill out a lottery form. At this point I'm annoyed and I said to the cashier "didn't I just observe you helping those people in front of me without having to fill out cards?" He proceeded by yelling at me "I decide who I help!" I looked at him in total disbelief and told him that's discrimination!" And I left and went to the Gulf in Bridgehampton where the cashier was pleasant, patient and had no issues. Needless to say I won't be returning to Gulf in Sag Harbor. Life is tough enough. People shouldn't have to tolerate such BS in 2020. read more

I've seen the one Star reviews from a few years ago and I think they might have had a change of ownership. My experience was really good. I had to slap a new tire on a blown out wheel and they were able to accommodate it right then and there. They had other work too but were able to squeeze it in and get it done in less than 10min. Price was great (about 20% less than competition in the Easthampton area) and staff was much more welcoming. Too bad they only do NYS inspections at their other shop on Noyac read more

It breaks my heart to see that Greg and his wife had such negative reviews previously. We had an emergency gas tank situation and they easily offered the best service in the region. We were stranded out in Montauk, and could not find an auto service center willing to help us at all. Once we were able to get towed there, they were able to help us right away, but it was a bit later in the day. Greg's wife helped us book a hotel nearby and then even drove us to the hotel! Amazing service and we really could not rave more about their amazing experience. read more

I called here trying to find the owner after I was ripped off at his other property Greg's Garage. 2 people took messages but the owner never called or made any attempt to resolve the problem; the second one hung up on me. Then the mechanic from Greg's Garage, MATT, called and threatened to have me arrested!! What kind of business operates this way?? I've reported them to every consumer organization known to man. All the owner had to do was behave like a honest, civil, human being. read more

Don't ever go here. This station is a ripoff. They are only too happy to take your repair, and then not stand behind their work. I got a rear brake job for $500. Two weeks later, the brakes were grinding and I temporarily lost my brakes after exiting the LIE in Riverhead. I was worried and pulled into a Midas Repair Center, which put the car on the lift and took off the wheels, and showed me that a part was missing on the right rear brake. I took photos, had to pay another $500 to get the original (and now ruined job) repaired. When I went back to the Sag Harbor Service Station to ask them for a refund, showed them the photos and receipt, and gave them the card of the Midas manager who would explain what he found. Instead of backing their work, the Sag Harbor receptionist (and wife of the chief mechanic) screamed at me. Then her husband, who manages the garage, offered me $107 for parts. When I said I should get a full refund since I also had to leave my car at the Midas shop and get an emergency rental for a day, he turned his back on me, walked away, and said over his shoulder, "Sue me." They don't deserve anyone's business. Stay away. read more
