I use to take my son to a kids hair salon didn't think he was ready for a barber as he's only 2. It took a bad mess up at the kids salon for me to look for a place to fix it. My husband came across the barber shop on yelp. Brought him in. They did such an amazing job. Of course a barber shop can't compare to a salon for men's haircuts. Everything a real Barber shop should be. Real barbers and real people who was spot on their work. Especially liked that they used warm lather with the straight shave and did a wonderful job. I waited three weeks to confirm exactly what happened. I wear a brush cute and asked for a #5 on the sides and back, and #6 on top. Low taper around the ears and back of the neck. (There aren't two hairs on my head the same length...much less #5/6 equivalent....after 3 weeks!) Lot's of schmooze and bs. I'm going to wait in line at the marine base...at least you know you're getting a crap-cut. read more

I took our 4 year old in for a much needed haircut today. We sat and waited for a few minutes (no big deal...lots of TVs, free coffee, water, magazines, etc). Sam did an awesome job with our son. He was quick but very detailed. He made sure that everything looked perfect. But best of all, his customer service was amazing. He was welcoming and friendly with every customer. Undoubtedly the worst haircut I have ever received. I told the person cutting my hair to keep it as long as possible and to cut it so it's the same length on both sides. He then proceeded to chop off at least 4 inches of hair on just the left side of my head. My haircut was so incredibly horrid that I couldn't tell if it was pure incompetence or some malevolent scheme. Don't come here unless you want the exact opposite of what you plan on asking for, since evidently here at Sam's Barbershop they just ignore what you ask for and do whatever they want to your hair. read more

Sam is the best!! We drive 10 miles to see him, he's the only barber my toddler will let cut his hair. He's so friendly and gives great cuts! we are customers for life. $17 (plus tip) for a kids cut is a little steep, but well worth it in my opinion.
