The Manager is NEVER there when you ask to speak to it. They always pawn you off on someone that isn't helpful walking around with blue smock on. Couple times I was able to talk to someone helpful. I guess it is out golfing or sitting at home. They only have 1 register that has cash in it. Otherwise you have to stand in line and wait some times for a very long time when 1 person is having issues. Service desk is useless for help. They REFUSE to change. Go to anywhere else all registers have can do cash transactions. That is customer service. Or they will tell you go to a register that is backed up because there is only 1 cashier open while the other 3 or 4 are closed. They won't bother to open any others up. I use their cash card to use at gas pumps, huge no reason delays because of this NON Customer Service. read more

Don't ever place an online order, you won't get your refund until a week later. They don't have a reliable delivery service and don't communicate when orders are returned to the store or canceled. This is the 3rd order that was returned and numerous items canceled and a refund was not given for more than 5 days. The customer service department rarely picks up the phone. I'm being punished for Sam's club mistake. I've been back and forth with Sam's Club and my bank for 3 days now. Even if the club, cancels the order they have the right to hold your money for 5-7 days. We became members last year, and we haven't used any wholesale club in the past. The store is clean, employees are universally friendly and helpful, and we've saved a lot of money. I especially want to highlight my recent experiences with the tire department: I got new tires and came back later about an unrelated issue. Tire department staff are prompt and helpful. Justin, in particular, provided outstanding customer service, going above and beyond. He was professional and efficient. Well the good was that I got everything I went for. The bad was they only had one register open for cash buyers, the line was 10 people deep, so I seen 3 employees standing at a register talking so I went to ask if they could open another register up and the one that spoke up said one was going home the other was helping with the credit card purchasers (not standing their chatting) and she was the manager and couldn't ring register cause she had to be available if a problem came up and also she didn't have anyone to ring. I did have to wait a few minutes for curbside, but the gentleman that answered the phone was very helpful and apologetic and promised to take care of it as soon as he got off the phone. I was told I could come in anytime to redeem my plus membership rebate, only to find out it had expired. This re-arrangement that the store has done is horrible. I waste more time trying to find things. Yesterday I spent over a 30 minutes looking for an item. I asked 3 or 4 workers if they knew where it was. Nobody could find it. I then went up to customer service counter to see if Sam's still stocks it. They spent another ten minutes searching for it on the computer. The computer system showed 200 bags. It also had the bin number. Why isnt that available through the app like it is at WalMart? I went there the bin was empty! I looked up and there it was still shrink-wrapped. Now what? I went back to the service counter. They said they would get a a work crew over there to get it down. I came here to buy a mattress and sheets. The members mark sheets, 450 thread count for full size was listed on the website for $24.98 online and IN CLUB. They rang up on the register for $29.98 they weren't listed as a special buy so the cashier attendant told me to go to member services, where I waited in AGAIN because there was only one person helping customers while 3 other workers just stood around talking. When it was my turn she informed me that Sam's Club does not honor their prices from their own website (WTF?) I asked for a manager and she said the same thing. That they don't "price match" from their own site. By the way I was on Auburn Hills Sam's Club and it clearly stated the price was $24.98 for the full size online and at that location. I wouldn't consider that "price match". It's called honoring the advertised price. Needless to say I left without the sheets. I'd have left the mattress too if I wasn't pressed for time. I used to swear by Sam's Club, but their recent/ongoing actions are making me re-think my current membership. They suddenly remove stock of random items after years of having it (Powerade Zero) with no explanation. Their new gas pumps are so low that it makes it impossible for someone who is 6'4" (like myself) to use without squatting down to see the screen. I returned the next morning to the same manager running tobacco counter saying we never got your order it's not here I said I did exactly what you asked she then looked at the printer and realizes there was no ink my order was sent in by 130 so you're telling me for 130 the previous day to 11 o'clock that day no orders had been filled so if you're going to turn people away to have the fax orders in shouldn't you be making sure your fax ink paper is all stocked?? As I'm asking when my order is going to be for filled she then says I can't deal with your attitude and calls another manager ., Meanwhile there's a line that has formed behind me that she's not approached once Who all sent orders in after I had so they assumed their orders were not fulfilled as well and left. I understand through this pandemic we're all stressed out and going through a lot with customers who are unruly and annoying employees that don't show up we're all stressed out but there's got to be a better way doing the simple task of checking your printer when you're turning people away telling them to send orders in this whole thing could've avoided if you simply checked your printer now we're all supposed to be doing a social distancing now you've got us all in line waiting it's absolutely insane extremely uncalled for. Went to replace the snow tire which I bought from the same store but after 4 hrs waiting they came up saying that they have to cut my all season tires to put the snow tires. What a dumb idea it can be. They could not change the tire as it is run flat. I cannot believe that I bought those tires from the same store 3 yrs ago and was replaced twice. My husband Wanted to start adding to my collection again. My 1st new pearl & crystal set he gave me was beautiful. At Christmas I finally wore it. While I was out I lost an earing. I was crushed. While in SAMs club I saw the same set! I asked Joyce if I could purchase just one earing? Normally they don't do that but took down my number & said she'd call. I love going to Sam's for shopping and lunch. But the Sam's Club in Auburn Hills is the worst. One of the pop machines hasn't been working for over a week. Went in to grab lunch and the computer cash register isn't working and no one to be found is working on it. Terrible customer Service. Bought a mattress and found it wasn't right for me. Ordered another and had it delivered. The delivery company took the "old" mattress to help me and was going to bring back to Sams for a refund. I never got credit on my account. I found out they weren't supposed to do that and they scrapped the mattress. Over 20 phone calls in 2.5 months and nothing has been done -- Only empty promises. They sent us to the store saying our refund was available and no one at the store knew anything about it. Six times they promised to call back the next day and nothing happened. Very frustrating. The tire center at the Auburn Hills Sam's Club for several years has been my go to place for tires and batteries. However, in the last two years or so the skill level of the technicians employed has begun to vary greatly and if you happen to get one with questionable skills, you will likely not like the results. I have had some good experiences, but too many times in the past year or two, basic tire installation and balancing have been badly botched as well as botching the installation of a replacement battery. What is really frustrating is that the technicians doing the poor work look everywhere for an excuse except at themselves where it might require them take responsibility for their work and maybe even improve their skills. The management at the location is not helpful either. They listen patiently, but little to nothing improves. There are so many better and more reliable establishments for tires and batteries, I would not chance a bad outcome at the Auburn Hills Sam's Club. read more
