The good- the scan & go feature on the app makes it extremely easy to get in and out of the store without having to wait in long lines. The employees have been helpful and they have a variety of bulk items. The not so good- once you've had a Costco membership, this just doesn't match. The brands are Walmart brands and not as good of quality. There's not as many healthy brands compared to other box stores. Not sure I'll be keeping this membership, but for now it has a convenient location. read more

Horrible customer service from their tire store. Purchased 4 tires for my truck almost $1100 ticket, when tires arrived upon ordering and waiting, went to the store there where I found out that I need to make an appointment which I couldn't do since I was already at the store. Tech Stacy didn't do any effort to get my tires installed, instead he didn't seem to care even-though their shop was completely empty, no cars at all, except 2 young technicians playing with one loose tire. Tech Stacy refuse to help me, refuse to install my tires which I had the feeling that he was lazy to work and that showed me that he didn't care. So I asked him to refund my money and without hesitation he did it with a smile. That evening I took my truck to Costco and end up buying my tires from them. Went around 9:30 one morning to get my shopping done before the congestion of SPM started. Even with plus membership and their hours clearly posted 9-10 early access for Plus membership, was denied access and told to wait in line until open. Opted to use delivery more instead. Have had items consistently missing from my orders and my most recent order wasn't even delivered, but marked as delivered. They were quick to take my money and their driver not deliver, now up to 14 days for a refund for items I never got. Was always fan of Sam's, but this location is AWFUL! Happy Costco is now an option in Kyle, guess I'll be checking that out read more

They verified they received it, but they NEVER refunded my money, over $600!! I have a membership with Sam's Club pretty much exclusively for tire service. While all locations are pretty slow, you can't beat their prices for tires + install along with the free tire repair & roadside insurance. I always come to this location and have been served well, but today turned into almost a nightmare scenario. I got a nail in my tire right before 4th of July, and waited until the next day to bring my car in. Due to Covid a lot of things are shutting down and reopening, so I checked their web site and was assured their tire center was open. Limped along the freeway with the spare tire to get here only to find their tire center closed. I inquired about it, and nobody could tell me anything other than it was closed for the time being. I was pretty mad as a tire center is pretty essential and if the rest of their store can be open, the tire center certainly can. I asked for a manager and was going to have him explain to me how their web site can assure me the tire center is open but it isn't, and now I have an inoperable car with no way to get it fixed. Luckily he was able to come up with a solution and had a tech on duty working the registers. I couldn't have been happier dealing with Thomas working on my car, and he seemed happy to get away from the registers to do a flat repair and save the day. It took a bit of time as their compressors were off, but I didn't mind waiting as they were doing the right thing and honoring the main reason I have a membership there. An hour later, Thomas had me back on the road with a patched tire and some recommendations for when they do eventually re-open. Even tried to tip Thomas and he told me they couldn't accept tips. That's ridiculous, I should be able to tip a service worker especially during Covid times when we all need the help! I'd say it was a 5* experience but the stress of thinking I had no way to get my tire fixed at first means I give this location 4*. Also, let your employees take tips, guys!!! read more

Woman at door says I'm not allowed until 10am unless I have a plus membership. "But, aren't you open at 9am on Saturdays?" I ask. Sam's Club - the best place to get a crazy amount of items for a decent price on the amount you are getting. Turn your workout mode on that cellphone and/or fitness watch as you will be walking quite a bit here only because it is a large warehouse. That being said it is always easy in and out here especially with the self-serve checkout process. We ended up buying 2 memberships the first time we came here (one as a gift) and the process took a little time. The same employee who helped us process our membership was also in charge of returns that weekend. Tough to do especially when it was a weekend. The department/area that needs the most help at this location is the food cafe. Always a long wait even if there are even a couple of people waiting and even a longer wait than expected on weekends. I only ever see 2 people working this section which is odd because the rest of the store has employees at the cashier area (seemingly) wandering around. Every time we decide to snack or eat here it has been inconsistent with what foods are available. More help for the food peeps here, please! They need it and they need the support! Parking always easy and the best thing about Sam's is that they have inexpensive gas prices as well - you just have to drive a little further out from the parking lot (near Chili's and IH35 frontage road) to get to it. read more

I never write a post like this and I'm gonna sound like a Karen, but I instantly got upset walking in here today. I went to grab a cart and there was trash. I didn't want to keep the trash in there so I grabbed it out to throw away. Before I could get to the trash can, I was stopped by a lady who said they would take it for me. I said thank you. Then right after my thank you, she had the audacity to say "Well I know you're not going to throw it away." Excuse me???? I hate littering so much in the first place, but why in the world would you accuse someone of this, especially before they even get in front of the trash can??? This review is strictly about the bakery. My mom ordered two cakes from the bakery for my daughter and cousin's combo high school graduation party. She ordered them well in advance to pick up on the day of the party. She wanted them to be fresh. The first cake was a tiered cake. Three layers plain white. Due to Sam's not making custom cakes - they can only provide the cake with icing - we ended up decorating it ourselves. Well when my mom went to pick the cake up (remember this is day of the event) they showed her the cake. It had already been placed in the box and they had the box sitting on the floor. My mom viewed the cake from the top angle. When the cake was finally removed from the box at the venue it was leaning to the side. Luckily my mom's decorating covered this hideous mess. (Cake price: $63+) The second cake was a sheet cake. This cake was almost perfect. However, they spelled my daughter's name wrong - on her graduation cake - that was about to be served to 40+ party guests - ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. How embarrassing is that! My mom asked them if they could fix it. Their answer - No! Are you freaking serious! Wow! (Cake price: $18+) The following week mom went in to speak with a manager. They tell her - well you signed the paper when you picked up the cakes. She tells them she did no such thing and asks to see the paper she supposedly signed. They tell her they no longer have the papers because they get thrown away. This makes absolutely ZERO sense. In an attempt to rectify the situation they offer her a $30 Sam's Club gift card. Which she did accept, however she paid over $80 for two items that were both flawed. See pictures. Needless to say we will NEVER purchase an event cake from them again. Austin, Texas experienced a horrible, unexpected & unannounced snow storm ((Feb 2021)) and if it wasn't for Sam's, I can't imagine what my family & I would have endured. So...truth be told, I'm usually at Costco. But hey, I got a Sam's Membership for Christmas and it's closer to my house, so today I gave it a shot... It's 3pm on a Wednesday. Parking lot is pretty relaxed looking. How busy can they be right now? Upon entry, I pan the store and observed lines...at every station. I have a return. I wait almost 10 minutes before someone is able to assist me. The transaction takes for ever. He's struggling. It's not the position he's been hired for. He's the jeweler, I dunno, maybe the eye glasses guy? But he's definitely from another department. There's another lady working customer service and I hear her talking to an elderly lady in a not so friendly tone, giving advice on her return. I am released from customer service into the wild. The warehouse fills with a cacophony of screaming children. I quickly browse the aisles, unmotivated by the chaos that surrounds me. Clothes on the floor, clothes unfolded an disorganized everywhere. Screw it. I don't need any clothes. What else? Toilet paper! I definitely need that. I race over to toilet paper,but it's whaaaat? $20.00!! It's HIGHER than Costco TP? Poop! Then, I think to myself...Coffee!! I definitely need coffee! When all of a sudden I'm accosted by a Sams Salesmen posing as a ...quality control associate of some kind? He presses me on when my house was built and what type of insulation I have in my attic... Ah! Need to get to work in time! I manage to escape... Now, I'm hungry. I can't wait to try a slice of cheese pizza whenever I'm finished shopping . I'm shaking I'm so hungry. Checkout station offers a self checkout which is kinda nice. One less line I have to wait in. Then I spy the pizza line. Which is half a mile long... I decide to forgo the pizza, and leave hungry...hungry for more... I leave bewildered and confused as to why anyone would pay for a Sam's Club Membership when Costco isn't that much higher? Sam's definitely gets ya on the back-end by overcharging for the throne tissue! I will however, be returning for the competitive gas prices.p read more

I have been here a few times now and it has most of my needs. It is strange since moving to Texas from Virginia to see wine, beer and liquor all in one store. I know for Texans this is the norm. I didn't see too much difference in buying here compared to other areas. One thing I noticed was that Sam's Club gas is not much cheaper if at all compared to the other gas stations. Nice club, Sam. But I'll bet all the ladies tell you that. New, clean, sparkly--and it has gas pumps (well, they're up next to La-Z-Boy, but they're here!). This is a "new style" club (very similar to the San Marcos location), with a decent vestibule to make entry and exit easier than the old-school club design. I especially appreciate the covered loading area, although I haven't used it yet. I haven't yet gotten used to the short-belt checkout lanes, and the food court looks a bit cramped. Otherwise, it's just another Sam's Club, so don't expect anything earth shattering. Three stars for being nice and new, and a fourth star bonus for gas pumps. Yay! read more

Don't come here if you need a custom cut of meat, butchers will only cut what they put out. Spoke to the manager he stated they would have to charge more for a custom cut. Have been getting meat cut there for a while and never had a problem till recently. Not sure if this is normal but any place I ask for a custom cut like HEB they are always more than happy to do so. I LOVE SAM'S! I thought about giving up my membership since my husband has Cosco from work and my older kids said "Are you kidding? You love Sam's...been a member for years!" And I thought, Yeah, I do love Sam's! Lived in Michigan and had a membership, been here several years and love their meats, certain things like two big Jiffy Peanut butter, coffee, breads, snacks, love all the samples. Gives me a chance to try things, and buy things! Gifts, cologne, lots of things I love....oh, the Pharmacy is less expensive. They are my Pharmacy! The photo dept is awesome! The lady there (9900 IH-35) is so helpful and sweet! Wish I knew her name but I think her daughter is getting married soon. She helped me with photo's to fit ornaments I had for my recently married son. I order calendars "I make on line", coffee cups with photo's on them"...lots of fun. TO: Gabriel Delarosa This review is for the Sam's Club located at Southpark Meadows!! The customer service there is DEPLORABLE, especially by someone who was supposed to be a manager, Andria (last name would not be given). I applied and was approved for a new Mastercard with Sam's about two weeks prior to this visit. I was given a piece of paper and was instructed to use this paper until my card arrived. On Sunday, 2/16/20 my husband and I visited this located and spent approximately an hour and a half shopping. Upon arriving at the register and prior to her ringing up anything, I informed the young lady that all I had was the piece of paper to pay and she stated it was fine, that she had done that once before and could do it again. Our total purchase was $281.00 and handed her the paper, however, she could not do it and therefore she called for help. A lady approached us and without even looking at the paper for more than a second, she proceed to tell us that we had pay some other way, that the paper was no good. I advised of what I was told when I applied and she again stated I had to pay some other way or move. I was totally embarrassed to say the least, but went straight to the customer service desk. There I spoke to Leticia Cantu and she confirmed that all I needed was the paper. I told her what happened and asked to speak to a manager so that I did not go through that again when I got back in line....the manager (Andria LNU) would not come and instead called Leticia and told her that she had already told us that we couldn't use the paper. I told Leticia that contradicts what you just told us yourself, she stated, 'I'm sorry but she's the manager'! It seems several employee's or not all of them are in dire need of customer service training, especially the so called manager. There was no need for Andria to embarrass us that way, especially since it seem she just didn't want to take the paper as payment. Leticia didn't HAVE to agree with Andria, she could have called for another manager (which we asked for) but was told she didn't think there was another one! I live in Kyle, Texas and will definitely try my very best to NEVER visit your location! There's another Sam's Club and San Marcos and they will get my business from now on. read more

I understand there are shortages, but for a month now Sam's Club has been removing items that I put in my cart and even up to the day of pickup, as I am utilizing the curbside service. I have contacted Sam's every way available to me and to no avail, I keep getting the "I am sorry" reply. I made an order Monday, they took off the bacon immediately. Had someone go in the store for me and there was the bacon on the shelf. I had ordered butter, this morning they took it off my order. I will be going in the store and checking to see if it is there. I have never seen them run out of butter. If I cannot get what I need, having a club membership becomes worthless. UPDATE: I called the store because they did have sweet cream butter (my order was for salted) and they said they would put it with my order. If I could give this Sam's Club tire department in Severna Park, MD no stars I would. I have been buying tires from Sam's club for years (because of the sale prices) and it has never been a great experience but this time was the absolute worst! I have decided to go elsewhere in the future and pay a premium price because I value my life. 1st the tire guy was very confused when I spoke to him giving him my info. He must've asked for my car info 5 times because he couldn't remember what I said - a very bad start. This guy was apparently brain dead. I should've left then but - my fault - I didn't. He told me it would take an hour, which as I always expect - Sam's it ALWAYS takes longer - but it took 3 hours with no other cars in the tire shop. The car almost the entire time sat untouched on the lift with the tires off. I saw the tire guy helping another customer with a car battery - prob for an hour or so. I finally went to a manager after 2 1/4 hours and told her the situation, she got on the tire guy BUT she said it would STILL take another 45 minutes! She did give me a $50 gift card but this money would be spent THE NEXT DAY AT ANOTHER TIRE BUSINESS WHERE THEY HAD TO FIX ALL THE BALANCING AND TIRE PRESSURES OF ALL MY TIRES. Back to the story to finish up...when my car was done I checked all my tires before I left and ALL of my air plug caps WERE MISSING!! I did get them all back from the idiot tire guy after I had to go back and ask for them. I was entirely paranoid to drive my car home - thinking - am I gonna make it because one or all of my tires were going to fly off?? For the finale, when I was driving home I heard PING PING PING - sounded like metal objects were shooting out my wheel wells - I was hoping it wasn't the lug nuts but I then realized it probably was the wheel balances flying off because when I looked at the tires there were ZERO balances on the tires or wheel wells. The very next day I had to go to actual professional (small business I found through a friend) and paid $50 for them to fix the chop job that the dumba$$ at Sam Club did. SAMS CLUB TIRE EMPLOYEES ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS. THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED AND SOMEONE CAN GET SERIOUSLY HURT!!! If you go there, I would recommend having your tires rechecked and rebalanced. read more

I love Sams Club... I dropped my membership with COSTCO several years ago because of very poor customer service and the employees I had dealings with were very rude and arrogant. I bought glasses from them with an RX given to me by a board certified ophthalmologist that graduated from Stanford. When I got my glasses back and looked through them they were blurry and obvious that the RX was wrong.. When I complained I was told by the Costco employee to go back and have the Dr check the RX which I did... The Dr saw me again and rechecked the RX and told me it was correct and wanted to know what lab COSTCO was using... Of I didn't know and went back to Costco and told them the Dr said the RX was correct.. When I wanted to return the glasses for a refund I was refused at first until I said I wanted to cancel my membership. After getting the refund I went to Sams and ordered my glasses with same RX that I had originally got... When I got them back, they were absolutely perfect! Another incident that happened, is one day I went into COSTCO to the film lab. I was only there a few minutes and when I left attempted to go back the entry way.. I was physically grabbed by an employee at the door and told to go out the exit door! This is totally unacceptable! Hard to imagine employees be told to grab or touch anyone going out their wrong door.. Very poor management in my opinion. There are other instances of poor customer service but this review is long enough! Employees at Sams Clubs are always very friendly and go out of their way to help when needed! read more

You know it's not a good sign when you pull up to a newly built store, and in the parking lot you get a really dirty look from a woman who has a trolley filled with bulk- sized M&Ms. That should have been our cue to reverse the hell out of here. However, we were looking for a queen-size mattress topper that the other Sam's Club didn't have and recommended that we look here. Here's what happened: After five minutes of trying to get in the entrance thanks to the slow crowds who seemed to have all day to spend at Sam's, we finally made it inside where at first I thought we had been magically transported to Costco. The layout was very similar, but in Sam's case, the displays seemed to have been rearranged by the drugged-up looking kids that kept running around our cart while their equally drugged-up-looking parents sat around, looking bored. We found the bed/mattress section, but the toppers weren't there. Instead we find them all the way across the store, where the food section is five steps away. It felt like a scavenger hunt, except all the obvious places to look for what we needed ended up being dead ends. So we find exactly two queen-size toppers. One box was torn open, revealing the contents inside, and the other box was so caved in that it looked like the aforementioned kids in the store gave it a good beating. Frustrated, we turned our attention to getting the other stuff we needed while we were there. We circled around the snail-like crowds for ten minutes before we found the water that we usually get in between energy drinks. Then it took us another five minutes to get other drinks while a hyper kid danced around our cart while his mother watched. Needless to say, (but I'm saying it anyway) I was disappointed. The layout was like a maze, and I doubt even a lab rat could find its way around. While it would make sense to group all products of the same nature together, Sam's has them scattered around randomly, What normally takes us ten minutes to do at our regular Sam's Club took us forty-five minutes to navigate the human circus at this Sam's Club. The one on Highway 90 across from Wal-Mart is never this crowded or disorganized. If you feel brave enough to navigate a cluttered maze with screaming children everywhere, then this is the Sam's Club for you. I, for one, would like to keep my sanity, so I won't be setting foot here again. read more

I'm single. I have no kids and I'm healthy. I have no business going to Sam's club since I'm not a fan of bulk shopping. But they are very convenient to purchase items for work. But in my experience, no one knows what the eff is going on there. It doesn't matter if they have a manager title. I hate that the corporate package is per person and you can't just have a multi-use card. I mean, do you want me to shop there or not? Or do you really have to get $50/membership per user even though no one is using it for personal use? I should be able to sign off and let someone complete a purchase for me. The straw for me was when I was throwing a corporate party for SXSW this year. It's stressful to plan for an unidentifiable amount and I was planning for 2K people. I looked online at this specific store and found tonic water. I even called to confirm. The first person put me on hold to see if they had it in stock then the mgr jumps on and tells me they have what I'm looking for. I repeatedly ask if it's tonic water and she assures me they have it. I'm on deadline without time to waste, but I drive down there to pick up a palette of tonic water. I get down there and it's freaking ginger ale!! I end up waiting for nearly 30 min to check for tonic water again. They tell me they're sorry and I should try Walmart. Really? That's it? I ask them to call over and guess what, Walmart doesn't carry have as much as I need in stock. I basically waste an hour there trying to find tonic water now. I end up going to two different HEBs and buying hundreds of single bottles of all their tonic. It was a disaster. You can only imagine what my vehicle looked like with hundreds of single bottles stacked up in the trunk and back seat. Thanks for wasting my precious time Sam's.
