I was able to get in and out quickly and I appreciate that. The store is easy to shop and employees have always been helpful. The only thing that could make it better would be to have more organic meat, sometimes the meat looks a little less than great. Sam's Club has some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The employees act like they don't care, and good luck finding anyone willing to help you. The checkout lines are always chaotic, and even when you ask a question, you either get attitude or get ignored completely. The self-checkout machines are constantly malfunctioning, and nobody bothers to fix them promptly. Calling customer service is just as bad--long wait times and zero resolution. We have been shopping here probably as long as this location has been open. Good values mostly. Close to home. The last couple of years seems this location has gone down hill. Seems they never bring the carts in. If you want one you have to bring it in with you. The snack bar is forever out of something. Last week it was napkins. Mostly it seems the drink machine is broken. Sam's could learn a thing or two from the Costco around the corner on Germantown Rd. We joined Costco bout two years ago. Never have to hunt down a cart. Always a nightmare if you need ANYTHING other than run in and pay thru app. F you need customer service, tires or any help, pack lunch. It's simple, employees nor management cares. Last straw was today - car battery died a week ago. Came in to buy one, everyone gone (at 5:30pm Fri), customer service wouldn't take old battery to give me core charge. Said come back when auto was open. Today, I schlep the old battery back in, auto gone again (4pm), guy at door says go to. Cust Serv. I get in line, 6ppl deep, nobody at the counter. 8min later, a lady slowly walks up, looks at the li e and leaves!! Waited 15 min and walked out with my old battery, I can't get my core charge back! What I find interesting is that it seems that all Sam's clubs seem to carry different items and none of their locations have the same layout, which makes it challenging to find items when you know what you want, but cannot locate it. This particular Sam's club has an odd layout, but the staff seemed friendly and I like that they have added a gas station that accepts the ability to scan your membership with your phone. In the past, I would have to show the staff my digital card on my phone and let them use their card, as I do not carry a plastic membership card. The best thing about this Sam's club is that it is parked right next door to the Walmart, so items that cannot be found here are located usually next door. Overall, this is a decent Sam's Club. It was majority one stop shop. I do not understand the people that don't scan and pay. I'll see the line backed up 10 people deep and I just don't get it. This store is nicely organized, though they recently moved a lot of stuff around. They have good seasonal deals and I can't stress it enough, though, people! Scanning in the app and paying with your phone is where it's at! My kids love the pizza and drink combo which is a great deal. If you're a PLUS member, use the earlier hours to avoid the crowds or use the pickup curbside! Oh and the gas is my best friend for these rising prices. read more

Sam's Club is simply an exclusive, paid membership Wal-Mart. Same ole shenanigans - not enough staff, misplaced items everywhere, perishable foods scattered across the bulk packaging of printer paper and Depends underwear. I only visited here because my sister was in town and has a membership. Prices at Sam's are decent, but the experience just isn't pleasant. You can save money, but at the expense of your time and sanity. The big kicker was NO SAMPLES! And mind you this was a Saturday. Not to sound boogie, but I prefer Costco much more. read more

Have been a customer forever. This Sunday went to pick up a few things and WOW. Meat department was bare, almost impossible to navigate the whole store. I finally fought to get a few items and then the real fun begins. Process used to be to get on left hand side of self check and someone would direct you to which one to use,not anymore. It is a free for all. Everyone lining up in snack isles with no organization. It is now survival of the fittest. After getting in a line and waiting for twenty minutes behind a poor lady with a buggy full and with a child, we were told register was down and find another line. I questioned this and she told me she had no control over anything and walked off. I have control and went to Costco. Sam Walton is rolling in his grave. BYE Sams. I had an APPOINTMENT to get a tire fixed, could not go to any other tire place as I had a warranty. And it took them over an hour and 15 minutes just to pull my vehicle in the bay. I didn't plan on spending my entire afternoon waiting inside Sam's club. Yet here I am. Slow. Painfully slow. And they do not care about appointment times. I arrived 20 minutes early and the person with the appointment ahead of me was arriving over 40 minutes late and they took that persons car in ahead of mine. read more

First of all this complaint is for Sam's Club Store Number: 6260 located at 8480 Highway 64, Bartlett, Tennessee 38133. I am a 71 year old man with COPD, High Blood Pressure, Arthritis in my hips and a severe hearing loss in both of my ears due to an in miliitary service injury. The COPD makes it difficult to breathe if I exert myself, the Arthritis makes it difficult to walk more than 200 feet without stopping. The Arthritis also makes standing in one spot for any length of time extremely painful. Of course, my hearing loss makes it difficult hearing people. Please note due to my infirmaries, I rarely leave my house to shop. I prefer to purchase items from either Walmart, Sam's, Amazon and eBay then have them delivered to my home. However, on February 11th, 2024 I drove to the above listed Sam's Club location to 1) return a battery for a core charge refund and 2) to talk to someone about a gift card purchased at the Jackson, Tennessee store by my son. It would appear that the cashier did not process the card correctly at the point of sale in Jackson, Tn. Therefore the cashier's failure to do so left the card unactivated for use. After some consideration, I determined that the cashier most likely scanned one of the two cards being purchased twice thereby leaving the one card not usable. As a side note, I will be calling the issuer of the card this morning, February 12th, as soon as they open. Upon arrival, I found there were no carts inside the building at all, no electric carts or push carts, none, nada, zilch! I had to hobble around the parking lot to find a usable cart to place the battery in. Once that was accomplished, I took the battery into the store and got in the Customer Service Line to discuss the Gift Card issue. After approximately 5 minutes in the Customer Service line, a person from the Tire and Battery center started calling loudly for me to bring the battery to him so he can process it. He did not know that it was a core return at the time. In any case, he continued to call me, which was annoying, I informed him that I would take care of the battery once I finished talking to Customer Service. He just would not stop calling, so to shut him up, I got out of the CS line went over to the Tire and Battery counter. Of course, he then proceded to take his time processing the return. I provided my membership ID and the receipt but he continued to dillydally processing the return. I finally got fed up with his lackadaisical attitude and requested to see a manager. The "so called" manager (I saw no name tag or any indication of her position anywhere on her clothing) was much worse than the clerk in the Tire and Battery center. Her attitude was I just don't care what your complaint is, just shut up and leave me alone! So no help there. After that, I left the Tire and Battery center to get back into line for the Customer Service desk. Mind you the T & B center clerk already had all the information neccessary to process the refund of the core charge. He did not do so and as of this review the store hasn't refunded the charge to the card it was purchased on. Finally, I tried to discuss the issue with the Gift Card with the clerk at the CS desk and was told that due to Sam's Club's policy, they will do nothing to rectify the issue. Again, this issue with the card is all due to the purchase of the card not being processed properly by their cashier. To say the least, I was upset and 100% frustrated by the attitude and treatment I received at the hands of the store employees. I mentioned that I had enough of stupid for one day and left the CS desk. I at no time called the CS desk employee stupid. I was referring to the things I had experienced through out the day. One, of those stupid things, was the darn Sam's Club policy about Gift Cards. However, the CS clerk told the "so called" manager I called her stupid, which, of course, was a lie. At this point, I have a premium Plus Club membership with Sam's Club. I am seriously considering closing it. There is a Costco store less than a mile from the Sam's. I really do not have to shop at Sam's Club at all. Additionally, I refuse to step foot into Sam's Club Store Number: 6260 for any reason. I have filed a complaint with the store's home office and I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau once they open at 9:00 a.m. read more

The image that they have posted of the lady receiving her order via curbside is a JOKE. The management at this location needs to ensure that her curbside pickup tasks are being fulfilled. People are now always having to leave their vehicles to go in and retrieve their order themselves, because the staff hardly ever delivers the items to the waiting customers. read more

We show up at the Store with Hurricane Winds, Heavy Rain, Thunder and Lightning. We make it to the covered blue awning and walk in the stores door. Christopher, the Manager tells us we have to exit back into the Storm and walk over to the other Entrance. Keep in mind, walking back into the Lightning, and rain slick sidewalk is for my own safety. So now I am soaked to the bone. Their inability to make a temporary exception due to the horrible weather really upsets me. Watching the older gentleman with the walker and his feeble wife being forced to walk back into the storm just makes me shake my head. This guy is a real jerk and should not be in his position. However, he proudly shows me his name tag as I am telling him I will make sure everyone knows about how we were treated, like he was daring me. read more

This place was pretty cool! It's like Costco but I felt like they had more taste testing. I liked how they run things. They have a lot of the same things and are even set up the same and I felt it was easy to navigate this place as I have their competitor. I was pleased to find some board games on sale and grabbed those immediately. It was a good experience though I'd want to shop around a little more and make sure all the things I'd usually get elsewhere are here, too. What is the point of scheduling an appointment for tire change when it still take 2 hrs. Might as well just walk in. Walk in usually take only less than 2 hours. Don't bother setting an appointment with this place to change your tires. It won't matter if you have an appointment or not. I see at least 4 people at the tire department. I have no idea what they do in the garage but not changing tire. That's for sure. Extremely disappointed with their services. I'll take a services to Costco from now on. Costco changed my tires on the weekend without appointment less than 2 hours. This place is a joke. Now I know why it took them longer than 2 hours. Sam's? No this isn't the place it used to be. We have been members over 20 years-several things have happened that upset us but this past month was the last straw. I will try to make this brief. Ordered a dryer about a month later we still have no dryer, contacted customer service several times. At one point was told our dryer was lost. We called another day & the shipper was like "We still can't find the dryer-this was after he hadn't called us back-if you want me to I can request another one. What in the world!! So if we wouldn't have called yet again, we still would have been waiting! My hubs was sent one of those surveys, and told how upset we were, the manger emailed him saying please contact me. We did so-three times actually-never heard back from him. The customer service reps you talk to on the phone love to ask you to leave a good review for them. One of them even asked me to do so I said how can I do that when my issue hasn't been resolved. At this point we decide we wanted a refund. We had to go thru two people & it took almost an hour to get our money back. Our membership expires in May, we won't be renewing. We had a membership to Sam's for a couple of years. People often wonder if Costco or Sam's is better. Personally, I prefer Costco. Sam's is more generic-feeling. It feels more crowded, more cluster-effy, and just generally more stressful. The place is huge and they offer a wide array of electronics, food, clothing, furniture, and more. However, I saw less desirable brands than I did at Costco, and I found that some electronics prices were much better as well as the products offered. I just do not understand the purpose of paying a membership to have the privilege of shopping at a store where you can get twice the amount of goods for double the price and then receive sub-par service. And you can't even find what you want all the time. There must be something I don't get because there's always people shopping there. I would never buy a membership here and the only reason I have one is because a family member shares one with us. I come once or twice a year for some over the counters. That's really the only thing in the whole store I've ever found a deal on. During my last visit, I tried to pay at the self pay station. I couldn't for the life of me figure out where to put my money in and there wasn't a helpful clerk anywhere. I waited and looked around and there was absolutely no help. The lines are always long and they only seem to have 2 or 3 checkouts open. Then the receipt comes out down low where I don't notice it. I get my change and then cannot produce a receipt to exit the building with. What a hassle! What really ticks me off though was I decided to get gas for the first time. There are three pumps available and I pull up to one. Then some worker they have comes running up yelling about some damn arrows painted on the pavement and saying I'm pointed the wrong way. He tells me I've got to turn around and wait behind someone else while there are three pumps open, but I'm not allowed to use them because my fuel tank is on the left! We have three vehicles and all 3 are on the left. If you drive a car with the fuel on the passenger side, you're always guaranteed a reserved pump, but others aren't allowed to pump from them! I've been filling up gas for 30 years and never once has this been an issue. Furthermore, if they can employ some stubborn worker to protect the gas station from cars pointed the wrong direction, why can't they employ someone to help with the self checkout? Needless to say, I didn't buy gas from there. Screw them and their gas. I went to Kroger and I parked the wrong direction! read more

My family and I have been loyal Sam's shoppers for as long as I can remember. I even have a collegiate membership so I can get gas while I'm away at college. That being said, my recent experiences at this Sam's have been horrible. Every single time there are only three to four lanes open and dozens of people in line. We often see employees just wandering the floor. I complained about this earlier this month and gave the corporate Twitter my contact information. I have not been contacted. We visited Sam's club Tuesday of this week to order a birthday cake for Saturday. The woman working at the bakery told us they couldn't make a cake for Saturday without even asking what size cake or type of cake we wanted. She had a terrible attitude and it was a serious turn off. Now I do like Sams club most of the time. There are certain items we only get here and will not buy anywhere else. Also, for some of the things we buy, if it is going to last and not spoil, we just as soon buy in bulk in order to save the money. They always seem to have a lot of good deals and this is one of two places where we end up buying almost all of our blue ray movies. The one issue I have is that every time we come here, the lines are very long and they do not have enough checkouts open. Also, most of the employees at the checkout are rather slow, nice, but rather slow. I would like to see them have more people on staff and keep more registers open. Also, quite regularly, the people getting the carts are behind. As a matter of fact, today I had to go back out to the parking lot to get a cart and while I was out there I did not see one person gathering carts to take them inside. Of all the Sam's in Memphis, this is clearly the best one. It seems to have a better selection, is certainly the cleanest, and has a convenient location. The gas pumps - which are consistently the cheapest in Memphis - are easy to get to. Prices seem a little cheaper than Costco, and Sam's hours are far better than Cosco's. read more

This Sam's is okay but none in MEM are like the ones in PHX. There are never enough check outs open. Each line was 8-9 deep and only 5 check stands were open the day before Mother's Day. Management could do a little better planning for pre-holiday staffing. Some of the floor staff has no idea where anything is. Now I just look for someone on the forklift. The main reason I come here is to get the frozen cod loins, cheaper than Kroeger and not plumped up with water for extra sales weight. These don't shrink when you cook them. The one gal who works the check stand in tobacco is always walking to the front to get customers her way; this gal likes to work. My experience has been awful. I ordered 4 brand new tires, took my car in to get them put on. They called me and said one of their employees accidentally punctured one of the tires and I would have to wait a few days until a new tire came in. Its been a week now and I haven't had anyone call me to update the situation and whenever I call it just rings and rings. I have called multiple times with no luck. took my vehicle to get new tires at sams club. I spent $660 on the tires. while my vehicle was on the lift i noticed it was not being lifted under the frame rails but instead was being lifted by the pinch welds. I asked the employee about it and he said that's how we lift all cars. i was getting upset because my vehicle weighs in the 6000 lb range. after they finished putting on the tires on and i received my vehicle back i inspected my vehicle. there was 4 dents from the lift at the pinch welds and 4 of the 6 doors would not shut properly from sams clubs ineptitude employees. i attempted several times to fill out a damage report with the store manager to no avail. the store manager was very uncaring and very rude. she then proceeded to call the bartlett police on me after sams club literally totaled my vehicle. i was a member for many years and had spent thousands of dollars at their store but after this happening and the insane way i was treated for something they did i never spent another dime there ever again. i would recommend anyone ever letting this company touch your vehicle EVER ! the tire shop has kids with no training or experience and will destroy your vehicle then try to have you arrested. i dont see how they can sleep at night TBH. you earned this review. big corporation that will give you an FU after they take your money and destroy your transportation. read more

"Customer service rep" Tonya thinks this is funny apparently and "manager" Shanette does not come to the phone. I finally called corporate and told them to play my phone call to the board so they could get a clue and fix the problems.
