Downgrade. I buy fuel here, the biggest saving. Sam's Club is not paying attention. Their prices can be competitive, and any shopper can't ignore that. It's why I go there at all. Now that I've shopped at other Sam's Clubs, in Indy and across the country, I've found that this location suffers in small but serious ways. The first one relates to groceries, where in comparison, this location has a far more limited selection. In its place is far more booze, do the near monopoly on liquor in the county by Big Red. Drinkers go here; much floor space is dedicated to beer/wine/liquor at the expense of food and grocery selections. Worse, on important items, they're not the cheapest around. Even Walmart, their cousin down the street, has better prices and selection in many areas-- without the need to buy in huge bulk quantities. The edge that Sam's has gets thinner and thinner. I'm hoping for a Costco to put price pressure on them. The people that work at Sam's are great. I have had great service. It's the layout and inventory limitations that make this location far less useful. read more

I like this Sam's Club and only this Sam's Club. The other Sam's I've been to are dirty and unorganized. The Bloomington one is actually really nice. The people at the optical center know what they're doing and are friendly. I do like Costco better than Sam's. Costco prices are better. Sam's is getting to the point where you don't even need a club membership. No one checks. And if you do self checkout or scan&go then they really don't know who's membership you're using if you don't have your own. read more

I like Sam's Club enough that I went ahead and paid for a year of membership. I don't need to buy everything in bulk, but for some things, it's easier and in the long run I'll save some money. The prices are good. There's no doubt about that. If you have an idea of what some items cost in regular grocery stores, you'll have an idea what you're saving. My win for today was a 3 pack of Native deodorant. It's up to $12-13 at least. A 3 pack put them at just over $9 each. The scents may not all be my favorite, but I don't expect anyone to be sniffing around there anytime soon. The layout in here is ... not garbage... but pretty awful. There are promotional aisles in the middle of the store that run from side to side, but at the back they run front to back. It's very difficult to really make sure you hit every section, so it's easy to miss out on deals or even forget about items you came in for. I can't figure out if there is any rhyme or reason for the way items are placed in the promotional aisles. There is a nice selection of clothes for the most part, and the jeans are very reasonably priced. The food is great! I had a piece of pizza on a recent visit and I was genuinely surprised at how good it was. Doing everything on the scan and go is a huge time saver, but make sure all of your items are scanning. Sometimes it seems like it did, but it didn't. The app is good about reminding you. I'll definitely be back. Oh - if you're a fan of buffalo wings, either get the ones you have to chop and section yourself, or get the Sam's Club brand. Those have some seasoning on them, and they don't have the big weird fatty lumps that Tyson had. read more

I'm contused why the price on the app different than in person at the store on the app they make the item seem cheaper than it is but in store it cost way more money. You need to fix the app to make the price much more accurate. This review is a bit off the beaten track for my norm . . .but I thought it was necessary after having the best bargain unhealthy breakfast ever. At Sam's Club. Yes, you read that right. My wife's car needed new tires, and I set an appointment for 10:00am at Sam's. I won't review that part, but we have nice new tires at a good price. When I checked the car in, I asked where the waiting area was and they said 'either visit the furniture section and pick a chair or head to the cafe' so away I went. Mind you, it's 10:01 in the morning at this point, but I didn't want to sit there and read without buying something. So I ended up with a piece of pepperoni pizza and a soft pretzel for breakfast. They were so cheap, I couldn't resist. It's only because of my amazing willpower that I didn't add a hot dog as well. The pizza was terrific - a nice slice reminiscent of mall pizza. But better. And the soft pretzel (no cheese) was great as well. All for the low low price of $3.00 and some change. Are you kidding me? Nice, clean store with many options to chose from. They definitely have the large quantities available and for a great price. I was surprised at the the affordable meat selection for lunch meats. Great place to purchase gas and shop in bulk. Gas is much cheaper at Sam's Club in Bloomingron than any other gasoline station in town.

They don't have as much stuff as a good Costco, however, it is still a great start with plenty of stuff to choose from.

This place is always clean and prices are reasonable, staff are willing to help in any matter, the place is always busy but doesn't matter since they started scam and go app (smart) if you didn't download that app please do & you will make your visit smooth and fast , love Sam's . read more

Why is it that 2-4 of the pumps at the gas station at this location are always down with a cone in front of it? This leads to a 5+ minute wait every time you need to fill up. The store itself is fine, but water seems to never be in stock, and fresh items to take home and cook also seem to be hit and miss at times. read more

I went to Sam's club tire and battery today and it was some of the best costumer service I have seen in a while. Cameron was especially helpful to me but everyone was super nice. They were very helpful and saved me a lot of money. They were able to squeeze me in last minute. Totally would recommend for all auto needs. read more

I am a business member and the website and sticker on the door clearly state it's open from 7 am. I arrived at 7:10a and the doors were locked. I stood there for 10 min and the doors were still locked. I work late into the evening. This is the only time I could come. Guess I'll have to try back later... Sam's hasn't lost my business. Wow just wow!! Sams club started in january, all was well, a few concerns. So several incidents that were not recorded on paper. One i had gotten something in my eye didnt know where wash station was bounced my body off of wall trying to find someone to help me, they then did not give me proper ppe nor did they inform me. so i had been inhaling oven cleaner full force without knowing it. I have gotten burned from the oven clean and several times over n over I had asked for help and nobody had an answer so i went to her supervisor . then comes corona virus. Im working my ass off as i am healing my lungs with doctor note and lung therapy in hand i informed my supervisors. They was a gal younger whom would not work, left her work called off last min. Ect.. So basically my supervisor said i had to deal w it. I had expressed to her the day sams was having employee appreciation day i was already over worked n getting sick again, so i said I was speaking to Dextor and i was released for how I was trained to do my job. So as we are starting to go indo a epedemic sams leaves me w no job, no reason and no one to help get answers back as this is a lawsuit against supervisor and sams club. I have spoken to two 2 of the 3 supervisors about this all i got it was handled do these pics look handled.. There are so many more picture and evidence so sams does not care has not reached out. I called to speak to dextor told he was to busy n i am a member not an employee but either was we should be heard and respected. The supervisor whom released me needs to be fired as I have tried to come to her n abouve her noone did anything about this except let me go because obviously the want me dead. Full blown oven cleaner in my lungs for almost 2 month, no help i begged the supervisor to get me help esp the 2 days before she released me . i want my job back, repramanded supervisors and to sams club hold their managers to their jobs , their policies, there is no way for 3 weeks this should have gone on. It was no handled and the gal is no trained enough to be a supervisor. I called corporate made a report 2 months ago no response, there was no open door policy and there are more details to this situation im leaving for a lawsuit. read more

I had a bad experience with the Sam's Club VIP event tonight. I upgraded my membership yesterday to "Plus" status, just so I could buy the 70″ Vizio TV for $998 tonight. The manager told me they had "30-some" of the TVs and that if I got in line by 6:30, I should get one. No guarantees, he said, but there should be plenty of them for everyone because it was a high-ticket item, the event was "invitation only", and they didn't run out of them last year until 9:00 p.m. when the event ended. So ... I made the 45 minute drive back there tonight, arrived well before 6:30, and they were GONE!!! I asked to speak to the manager, but a different manager was on duty. He said they only had twelve of the TVs, not "thirty-some" and that people had started lining up at 10 a.m. to get them. I asked him to sell me a comparable model at the same price and he refused. They actually had the exact same model but without the special "E" suffix on the item number (which is just a marketing gimmick). It's the same TV in a different box with a slightly different SKU number. The bottom line is that I had two managers at the exact same Sam's Club give me very different stories about the availability of a product. If I had known there were only 12 TVs available and that I'd have to wait in line for half a day if I expected to get one, I would have passed and never have made the drive back there. I feel like I really wasted my time due to the misinformation I was given. I told the manager tonight - in a calm but very unhappy tone of voice - that I was going to cancel my membership. He then offered to give me a $50 gift card to cover the cost of the membership upgrade and my gas. I didn't turn it down, but it didn't make up for losing out on a $1698 TV for $998. As I was walking away, my boyfriend and my son-in-law saw the cashier give the manager a "high-five" behind my back. I'm not sure what was meant by that gesture, but it seemed like a very unprofessional and inappropriate response to an unhappy customer. read more

I love Sam's Club!!! You have to think carefully when you're there because yes things are in bulk. But there are many things we use a lot of quickly, or we'll use over time, that are a steal here! Even cheaper than Aldi's. Heads up - if you have a business membership and come during business only hours, you need to go in the Exit. It will look like you're doing it wrong because it's early and you're the only one. Don't be scared. There will be a friendly face inside waiting for you to let you in. Their products have improved a lot over the years, and the quality has become more comparable to Costco these days. Which is great because I love Costco but can't always drive to Indy to enjoy it! They have regular items that you'd expect, but have been amping up luxury items. There's much more organic produce now. Norwegian lox. Colombian coffee. Eso lotion. Homemade baguettes and croissants. Organic meats, produce, fish. Noosa yogurt. Anyway, lots of things!! I can't name everything bc Sam's is huge and ever changing. But check them out. Their beer, wine and liquor are cheap and high quality. I've found some things to be cheaper than Amazon also. I'm so glad they're here!! read more
