I absolutely love Sam's Club. Yes, you have to pay for a membership, but it's honestly worth it. For starters, GAS. Sam's Club gas is about $1.80 (rounding up). For example, getting gas on the Army base, where everything is tax free, gas is still $2.10 (rounding up). So driving a large SUV, and having motorcycles that all require 91 (premium) gas, the savings in gas alone is worth the membership. Now then, I'm a single guy. No wife no kids etc. and, shockingly, I haven't the slightest clue how to cook. I still gotta eat though right? Well, at Sam's, in the back, they have a bakery, butchers and kitchen etc. So they make FRESH, a dish like chicken Alfredo pasta. Or Mac and cheese, or whatever .... now because it's a bulk buy kinda place, the make these meals for a "family". Most dishes are usually set up to feed 4-5. So I buy these freshly made meals, I go home, and I divide them up into individual glass, oven safe containers (that I also bought at Sam's lol), and in the fridge they go. Each night after work, I grab one, pop it in the oven, and viola - dinner for one! So one "meal", feeds me for about 4/7 nights a week. And the other 3 nights, I just eat out and use that as a break in the mundane and an opportunity to check in on Yelp lol. Now On to feeding my dogs. I have two 70-80 pound dogs that live with me. At Sam's, I can get standard Purina dog food, nothing fancy but not terrible, about a 55lb bag, for like $20. Yuuuuup! Now then, I do bulk up on drinks. I stay thirsty. So I love buying huge bulk cases of Powerade, water, and Diet Dr Pepper lol. Same goes for body wash, deodorant and shampoo. Tooth paste and mouth wash. These are things that don't expire, and are slightly cheaper when bought in bulk. So 5 sticks of Old Spice deodorant? 5 pack of Crest Optic White toothpaste? A bottle of Old Spice body wash the size of a gallon of milk? Yes please. And house hold cleaning products. TVs, Beds, cooking stuff, even clothes! Sam's has it all. I definitely get my money's worth here. And it's my go-to for almost everything. read more

Ready with everything we may ever need. Clean the people are friendly. But this review is going to concentrate on their sushi. Since im a tad allergic to avocado i tend to avoid it in almost everything i consume, sadly most americanized sushi from a store come with it. As i was telling my girl this the lady at the sushi counter overheard and asked if we wanted a special request. We knew u could order party plates but she insisted she make me one just with a few roles, she asked if i was a dad and i said yes she then wished me a great fathers day. The prices are decent here, but be very careful of all the intersections. This specific Sam's is always so busy with traffic from here and Wal-Mart. The gas prices tend to be lower in the area. It is normally very organized and the produce is fresher than many other stores in the area. The line to the concessions area is always so long. There were at least 25 people in line today as we were exiting. If you can self-checkout, do. The other lines were very busy. They were giving out samples today of Margarita mix, Estrella beer, smoothie drinks, and kabobs. read more

Sam's Club is Sam's club. You walk in and the greeter is there. They used to check IDs but I'm almost sure they don't care anymore. I never get carded at the "club", shoot maybe it's old age or my frequent visits. Who knows! This location is pretty clean for how many herds of people trample through. The only issue is, the expiration dates on food and nasty consumers opening boxes and tasting things. Gross, I know. I didn't knock off any stars for the nasty behavior of people. Just took off one star for their expiration dates. I did have to bring back nasty chicken once. I have PTSD now. Yup, won't buy meats here but everything else I'm up for! I honestly love this location and the management there. I forget her name but when I'm back in I'll give her a shout! Super patient and she does an excellent job of supervising the front lines!!!! What's the deal with these places installing kiosks which are ostensibly dysfunctional? Today I decided to try something a little different and order all my stuff online through what appears to be a system attempting to mimic Walmart's online grocery store, only a lot less convenient. For one thing, the pick up procedure for Sam's is really strange. Instead of being able to check into the kiosk, you apparently have to go to the customer service desk. But that's not the weird part. The weird part is when they direct you to their back storage room behind the desk where all the online orders are kept apparently. I felt like I was walking directly into the "employees only" section. I opted to pay for my order in the store as opposed to paying online. I do this just in case they end up not having an item I requested. But this was strange all due to the fact that the card machine was a whole two feet away from the register in the back. These are all minor points, of course. But I figured they're worth mentioning to anyone considering using the online pick up feature. However, I can only speak for THIS location. Maybe the Cielo Vista one is more efficient. Who knows? I only come here when I need a lot of something for a consolidated, common sense price. Sometimes the gas is cheap, too. 3 busted kiosks out of 5 for this one. read more

Who doesn't love going to Sam's club? Sam's club has everything you need, in bulk. This location is no exception. It's big and prices are reasonable. On the weekends this place is a madhouse inside and the parking situation is worse. No really, be aware when driving around here... Employees don't really acknowledge you unless you go up to them. Don't expect a "hello" or an "excuse me" from them. They expect you to know to get out of their way...... Samples are provided but you have to fight 262927292 other people who want the sample as well, so I skip it. There's always somebody by the personal hygiene section trying to sell you or get you to try their products, ugh so annoying! There are a few self checkout lanes and they are very easy to use. The cafeteria has pretty decent food for a great price! It's cheap!! The sundae is DELICIOUS! Bathrooms are an eh. The times I've tried to use them there is toilet paper all over the floors. read more

This was the Worst and LONGEST pick up experience EVER, from ANY store I've ever been to! Customer service was NON existent. I waited for about 20-25 minutes for a pick up, and I was the only customer there! Two other customers came, got their groceries delivered and left. The employee didn't even have the courtesy to come over two spaces to my vehicle and ask if I have been helped. I actually had to call their store's number, and after like 50 rings some girl finally picked up and took my information and said she'd let the pick up crew know I was out there. FINALLY some guy came out, took my order number and said there was a glitch in their system and my order didn't show that I checked in. Ok, fine, but what's the excuse for the employees that were already out there helping other customers with their pick ups? They could've came over to ask if I needed help. Pretty pathetic. Then, FINALLY someone came out with my order, only the first thing out of his mouth was, "I just got back from lunch so idk what's going on". So obviously the first employee told him that there's an upset customer waiting for him. They have the most rude and fake employees that I've ever come across. I could've went in to get my own groceries and been done before this pick up was even completed. If I didn't have to be somewhere, I wouldn't have even attempted the pick up to begin with. This is a very nice store that is well stocked and clean. We were passing through town and stayed close by. They also had the best price on fuel in the area. This Sams has stood the test of time, I've been coming to this Sam's since I was a little kid. A great place to stock up and buy in bulk, but I'm also a big fan of both the cafeteria (awesome hot dogs, pizza slices, and soft serve!) as well as the gas station, which always has a line, but its about the cheapest gas in town. Ill start off my review by saying as an El Pasoan I have been a Sam's member for about 5 years now. I love the food court they have and all their groceries and even clothing items are nice and cheap (in price). Recently however, they hired this guy who works for the food court. i tried to get his name but he is skinny and wears tighter jeans than me. We have literally witnessed him saying no to making us certain things like (a pretzel) and then have another employee saying they do have them and have her make it instead because he is lazy. He is so lazy and won't ever give us the name of his manager. read more

The overall Sam's experience is awesome because it reminds me of coming here growing up and looking at everything with wonder. It still is kinda crazy to see all the bulk items you can purchase. A new addition that has grown is the clothing and the electronics. I don't remember those sections having such a large variety of items. Now they sell movies and headphones while the clothing section added a lot of denim and socks and underwear. Can't ever complain about the free samples that fill the frozen section. Even the little bistro cooks up some good food like their pizza and hotdogs. In terms of price this place is always great on saving when buying in bulk. read more

I have been going to Sam's Club for a long time... been very disappointed by the inventory... sometimes the goods I buy are out or know longer available. I then go to Costco and spend a fortunate with my wife. They have better quality and you do spend more... the only problem with Sam's Club is the long check - out lines... I can not take it anymore... at Costco's they empty your cart at the register and are very nice. Besides the Sam's Club on Gateway Blvd. West El Paso is looking trashy! And the staff can be sort of rude if you ask them for help. read more
