I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an incident that occurred at the Sam's Club in Fishkill, NY on November 20th at approximately 8:45 a.m. While I was assisting another customer who was confused about the shopping hours, I was approached by Laura, the store manager. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, Laura threatened to revoke my membership simply because I was helping the customer understand the policy. She informed the customer that she could not shop without a black Sam's Club card, yet failed to explain that the 8-9 a.m. shopping hour is reserved for Plus (Prime) members. This lack of communication caused unnecessary confusion, and her threatening tone toward me was completely uncalled for. I have always enjoyed shopping at Sam's Club, but this experience was disrespectful and unacceptable. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed and addressed appropriately to ensure that customers are treated with courtesy and that policies are communicated clearly and respectfully. Ditch Walmart, BJs and Costco, and just come here for all your food and recurring home needs. I've been a sams club member for over a decade myself with my business and my family has been club members since the 90's. It's a weekly trip I don't loath. in my experience Sam's club has way more pleasant and helpful team members than the other shopping clubs in the area. Also, the pricing of the items at the cafe is awesome! Can't beat the combos for $1.25/$1.50!!!! Sometimes I stop in just for a quick bite to eat instead of spending a ton of money at the diner, another restaurant and fast food place! read more

Shopping at Sam's is fine and the pizza and hot dog deals cannot be beat for a cheap lunch. However if you're trying to watch what you eat, there's really nothing much to have...until now. Inside by where the meats are they have sushi rolls that look great. I didn't try it this time but they had shrimp ceviche next to it. It was great. Lots of shrimp in a fresh salsa with a little kick and some lime wedges to squeeze over the top. A carb-less meal in a sea of fast food. Nice! read more

Easy to navigate, wide isles and lots of smiling helpers along the way. If you are looking for organic items, this is probably not your best bet. Check out Aldys for that. I was a member at BJ's for many years and find that BJ's does have more SKUs and more selection. Conversely, shopper to help her ratio at Sam's Club is definitely better. There's an option of self check out or traditional cashier check out. TIP: Bring your own bags and stack in to the cart the way you want it packed on the way out. Shout out to Tony and Sayed at the cashier. They were fantastic. Typically I have to jumble around and repack but Toni did an extraordinary job. And so quick that I barely had a chance to pay and I was ready to go. Five star service. Losing one star because the selection is more limited and BJ's. read more

I can only right now speak about their pharmacy. I don't belong to Sam's club, but a friend told me they have a pharmacy. I was very nearby so I tried to see if I could get my 3 booster vaccine. I encountered the most accommodating, professional staff, and fast experience ever for a vaccine!!!. I was out of there fully vaccinated in less than half hour. Why is it that I come to Sam's Club with a short list of things to buy but I always leave with a cart full of food! Sam's club is great if you have a large family or are shopping for a large party. Everything here is purchased in bulk. You can find some good deals depending on what items you are buying while some items are at the same cost as regular grocery stores. The line does get long and management needs to add active cashiers when the lines get too long. Good deals on the following items I usually get from Sam's club: -Shampoo and soaps -Bread, English muffins, wraps -Whole Roasted chicken -Smoked Samon -Activa yogurt -Frozen honey bbq and buffalo wings -Chicken Sausages -Hummus -Cold Cuts, Cheeses -Sauces like ketchup, salad dressings, olive oil, soy sauce, etc. read more

Fishkill NY SAMS is so good that I drive 45 minutes away from home to get there. Happily passing the Sams near my home. People are always friendly, professional and helpful. The store is well stocked and clean. Wifi is always strong throughout the entire store which is helpful when looking up items. I especially like the meat and bakery selection. During the pandemic I never had a problem buying my usual products. read more

Recently, earlier in the week, we ran out of our regular bottled water. We usually buy Poland Spring, but Sam's was out of it and rationing cases to customers. So my husband bought the cheaper Member's Mark Purified Water (Mineral enhanced for taste). My daughter and I had our usual 2 bottles at school and work. We were both sick with upset stomachs that night. Next day, I took some aspirin and Pepto Bismol - stomach not good. I take two more bottles from the pack with me. I opened one bottle and finished it. I finished one bottle, wondering about a greenish tinge on the bottom of the plastic bottle. Reaching into my bag later that day, I was surprised to see that one bottle appeared to have 1/3 of the water missing. I twisted the cap and realized that it was unsealed!! I didn't touch it - bought another at the vending machine. When I got home, I decide to check the whole package. The bottles were not evenly filled - one was all the way to the cap, others were varying amounts! We decided to leave them alone and have my husband return the whole pack. Don't buy these! read more

Today (08/31/18) I went to this samsclub and bought two vanilla frozen yogurts and two slices of pizza. This female African American server who did not wear a name tag(mid aged overweight black woman) didn't squeeze the yogurt from the machine into the cup. Some of the yogurt fell on the side of the cup. What she did was she turned around so we can't see her hand and the cup, and scooped the yogurt into the cup, then turned around. She did not wear gloves while she did this and her hand was full of the white yogurt when she opened the cash drawer and touch the cash. I was so grossed out I threw the yogurt into trash. read more

I would rate them less if I could during the mist of this turmoil when the high risk population are trying to be careful they post on the internet that they open at 7pm only to find out when I got here they open at 9am where is your sense of accountability and respect for people's safety and time. Then they have you wait on line outside one on top of each other while they only let in 50 customers at a time. Seriously there not doing this at Walmart. Also they are restricting your purchase to just one item per membership regardless of what you are buying. Seriously I bought grated cheese of which know only is interested in and instead of two I could only buy one. Additionally I had the most unacceptable an unprofessional experience today during my shopping trip some gentlemen stocky mid-height who identified himself as the manager (wouldn't provide his name) wearing dark sunglasses and a leather jacket standing outside as a pathetic wannabe proceeded to threaten me by stating if I didn't stop mentioning the above (error with store hours) he was going to call the police and tell them I was causing a riot and ban me from ever shopping at Sams or Wal-mart again. Clearly his mental issues go far beyond being normal I will be pursuing this with Wal-mart headquarters on Monday to see how they intend on handling this issue of holding him accountable for his unacceptable and unprofessional mannerism. Know one has the right to treat and/or speak to another in this manner especially a paying customer who has to pay dues to shop in this store. Is this how Sams wants their customers treated? If not then he needs to go and get a job in an area that is better suited for him like in a mental hospital working in the basement talking to himself. I will be rethinking my shopping choices in the future and ensuring everyone knows about the above so they can do the same. read more

In the mist of all the turmoil, my family decided make an online pickup order. We ordered about $400 worth of groceries and when we arrived home we noticed 11 of the 30 items ordered were missing. When we called to inform them about this they want us to come in with the receipts to check the security cameras. We had to drive 45 mins back and forth again to do this. We got there gave them all our info and did everything they asked. The manager, Dave said he will call us after going through the tapes. A week later we still didn't receive any calls, after several attempts to reach the manager again we were directed to another manager Crystal, who finally said the security tapes check out but insisted we have to drive another 45 back and forth to the store to get a refund back. They insisted they have to do this to protect credit card fraud which makes no sense because they just have to refund it back to the original card they had in the system of the online order!! My parents are 55+ and the main reason they made the online order pickup, instead of making life easier during this pandemic it had us coming back 3 times. When we finally went back the third time, there was a new manager who told us they knew nothing of this matter so they need to look at our receipt to check the security cameras AGAIN!! after being on the phone for 1hr 12 mins they said they couldn't find us on the security camera so they can't give us refund. Luckily we found the exact time we were there down to the minute (who has that much time to look for info like this). The manager finally was able to confirm and give us our refund back. My biggest disappointment was the attitude of the store manager Dave along with his coworker Crystal. They were very rude throughout the whole process and were hard to believe they were even sorry. At one point they said it was all on us for not checking each item on the list of order $400. I understand people make mistakes but they also have to take responsibility for it. If ur normal policy is u cant refund over the phone, this is not a normal circumstances or at least pretend to care and apologetic about it instead of threatening to hang on your customers. Dave was incredibly rude and repeatedly raised his voice and talked over me. He rushed the phone calls, never return phone calls within the amount that he promised, he couldn't even make a note on the account. While he said we can come in at our "earliest convenience" he couldn't make a note on the account and said we probably have to explain the whole situation again to whoever is on during the shift if he or crystal isn't there and whenever we asked when they will be there, they replied it's against their rule to say!! I can't begin to explain how frustrating this whole process was for us and put our health at risk more than normal. I really hope more caring and professional people take charge of the business. Overall, the whole process made us feel like we paid for their mistake with so much time, gas money and stress. The saddest part is our complaint and this review will be unheard and this matter will not be brought to anyone attention. All I can do now is warn other people and take my business else where. read more

Used to love this place but new manager follows policy to a tee. I've been a member since 1996 and twice my yearly membership has lapsed as it did today by one day. I politely asked cashier to speak to manager,explained that it accidentally expired as of yesterday & he politely states there was nothing he could do. The only reason why I come here is because I own a business and there are some convenient items that I can purchase here at a fair price... But besides this nothing else is good.. Some of the staff is very unfriendly.. Managers hanging around while there are lines of people waiting to pay... Not only that they aspect costumers and workers to move everything off the cart even if heavy items, to place them on a different cart so they can be scanned one by one and not just scan them directly on the same cart, even though you can see how many items are there.. And not to mention that there is always a problem when you are at the register... Can't wait for Restaurant depot to open in a couple weeks... read more

Sam's really need to FIRE IMMEDIATELY the front end manager Dave Serrano. By far the worst person to deal with. He was called 4 times to assist me with an issue I had on a order placed online. The first time he was called by an employee named Cristal Banks who was very sweet & helpful, she called him over the intercom, he called her on the phone & asked what was the problem she explained & he proceeded to tell her to take care of the issue. After 2 hours of every employee trying to help me I finally asked for them to just call the manager maybe he help. Customer service guy Pedro called Dave Serrano 3 times and not once did this so called manager came to assist. Waited over 30 min until he finally showed up to argue with me stating he was never called to the front and he was assisting another customer. Which is completely understandable however he could have communicated that with customer service instead of having them call him 3 times. He had a very nasty attitude with me, a new customer who waited over 2 hours for assistance. I finally asked him what was his last name and his response was I am not giving you my last name, my husband looked at him and said oh we will get your last name he then said no you won't. Well sure enough we did. Dave Serrano needs to be fired. He has no regards or respect for customers. He was very nasty and rude and I was shocked on how he was speaking to me. I canceled my membership immediately after that & DO NOT PLAN ON SHOPPING EVERY AGAIN AT SAMS. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I had no issues with my order I was beyond patient and nice to every employee until the manager (he is not no manager for conducting himself in that manner) DAVE SERRANO spoke to me the way he did. I've been going to this Sam's Club for over 10 years and have had nothing but positive experiences, except for today in the bakery department. We always order our cakes from here because they are delicious, beautiful, and reasonably priced, so today we went in to place an order. The woman who assisted us was EXTREMELY rude and acted like we were a bother to her. She gave her unwanted opinion on the cake we were ordering not once, not twice, but THREE separate times in a very judgmental manner (ex. "Really? You want to use THOSE colors?" "That's going to be an AWFULLY bright cake") with the worst expression on her face. I was truly appalled at the lack of professionalism and general KINDNESS. I am extremely disappointed and honestly quite embarrassed because of this woman. Most likely will be searching for elsewhere to order cakes in hopes of not having to interact with her again. read more

Prices are good, if you know what you're looking for, and the place is huge so the stock is good. Like most clubs, the check out can be slow, but it's probably better than some other Sam's Clubs I've been to. It's also a challenge sometimes to find someone to help you at the bakery counter for ordering or picking up sheet cakes, but they do a great job and the cakes are always great for the price. read more

The other week I was at Sam's Club and witnessed a middle aged man who was wheelchair bound and who had a full (overflowing) cart of groceries. My husband and I were happy to witness an employee helping this gentleman pack the items at the register into his cart. We were a few people ahead of him in the line to exit the store and whispered to each other "Do you think an employee is going to help him load his car?" Of course someone is -was the thinking between the two of us. As we exited the store we discovered that it was POURING outside - not drizzling, not raining, but torrential downpour. With seeing this, we reiterated to each other that we hoped someone would help him, but again reassured ourselves that someone from Sam's Club would for sure assist him, how could they not? My husband went to get the car, and while he was gone, I saw this man by himself exit the store and wheel to his car lugging his overfilled cart on the side of him in the pouring rain. I was shocked and disgusted that no Sam's Club employee walked out with this man to assist him in loading his car. When my husband pulled up, we put our items in our car and then we proceeded to pull down the aisle this man was in and my husband got out and began helping him load his car. Upon seeing this, a woman in a nearby car also got out and helped as well. I'm glad to see there are people in this world who have a heart to help those that need it even when it may be inconvenient for them, but am shocked, disgusted, angry, saddened, and just overall disappointed that NOT ONE person from Sam's club (from the employee helping him pack his cart at the register, to the person looking over his receipt as he exited the store) could find an employee to walk out with this gentleman and help load his car. If he needed their help packing his cart at the register, what would make them think he wouldn't need help packing his car in the pouring rain. I recently read the following on Sam's Club's website: Our philosophy has always been simple," he [Mr. Sam] once said. "We are the agents for our customers." At Sam's Club, we live out his promise by delivering simple savings to our members on items they can trust. I have been shopping here on a weekly basis since I moved here in 2006. I have always loved Sams, until recently. Customer service is declining. We had an issues with tires, and the manager was not helpful at all, and even rude. I reached out to the 800 number, also...just very disappointed in how it was handled. Things were not explained well, and then no responsibility was taken after, as well as being rude with no kindness at all. I have to say that I love the scan and go, no more lines which has been amazing (why I gave it 3 stars instead of less) but some of the people who scan you as you leave (one gentlemen in particular) get annoyed each time I show my iPhone to scan. I try and be friendly, to this particular gentlemen, saying hello, apologizing for the inconvenience and he completely ignores me with no response. Sam's needs to update their customer service quickly before they lose more customers read more

Nice customer service. Employee offered to put bags of salt pellets into my cart. I've never had anyone ask me if I needed help before. I pick up 50lb and 40lb pet items all the time at SAMs. Even when I'm pregnant! And no one for over 10 years has asked me, except for today :). And I'm 4 months pregnant read more

It is great when they have what you want and you save money. I am in this store 2-3x a week. I only wish the electronics and especially tv brackets were less. I buy from my wholesaler because they are selling them at "retail" prices. Sams Club should be able to get pricing down to wholesale prices. I like the store...cheaper and same stuff as BJs but they have the worse employees here. They're always goofing off in the aisles or in the corners on they're phone never want to help out with anything either! When someone makes them pull down a pallet or help me put something heavy like a TV, kids car, or box spring they look all pissed off about it! When they rearranged the store I asked where something was and no one had any idea and didn't care to even think about it or offer to help me find it! read more
