This was a first for me at ANY sam's club across the USA. I had $250+ in items in my cart. I was alone at check out. As I was unloading my cart, the cashier asked me to put my credit card in the reader. So I left my job of unloading my items for checkout, I had maybe 4 items on the belt. I went around to do as she asked with my Sams credit card. I then turned back around and a man was unloading his items while I wasn't even finished loading my items for checkout. So, I said to him, I'm Not done checking out (in other words, back up buddy) He ignored me, like he didn't even hear me. The cashier just looked at both of us like she couldn't care less. I should have walked out and left this sad situation. My business wasn't needed I guess. I'll not get over this very soon. I was hurt and totally disrespected. Called earlier in the day to confirm I could replace an auto battery under warranty. Auto area associate Rueben I spoke with assured me they had a replacement on hand. I didn't have a receipt but my original purchase a few years ago was verified. Someone told me the energizer product line was dropped because batteries were failing before being sold so the company switched to Duracell and have had no issues. I checked with consumer reports and these are rated above 80% out of 100. That's better than several competitors' products. I exchanged the battery without issue or cost to me. It was super fast and easy. Went with my family and tested samples. No issues there either. read more

I came to sams to pick up just a few things but as you can see bt my photo I went a bit nuts. I had my old girl with me and they didn't have a problem with me bring her in the store, she is a good girl so I don't gave a problem with taking her with me. The store was clean and they have a gas station which was not busy around noon and during the week. You do have to be careful as you can over buy and end up throwing a lot of it away so be picky when you're there only get what you can eat or freeze Etc. read more

I've been a member of Sam's Club twice now. Once several years ago (they had an offer at my office), and again this past year (Groupon). For those who are unaware Sam's Club is Walmart's answer to Costco. Similar format and concept. One advantage Sam's used to have was that you could buy one onion. You didn't have to buy a 25 lb bag. They had produce bins just like a regular grocery. I don't know when they dropped those, but they no longer are there. Now it's like Costco in that it's all bulk bags/boxes of produce. The other advantage Sam's still has is that there is always plenty of parking and I have yet to have to wait more than a minute or two in a checkout line. That's sort of a snarky way of saying that Sam's usually isn't that busy. By contrast, Costco is nearly always packed, and parking often is challenging. Also, if you own a diesel vehicle you can fuel-up at Sam's. Only a few Costco locations in the country offer diesel (the closest being Prescott). So Sam's could pay for itself right there if you're a diesel owner. Sam's also has a travel center and such for members. Like Costco they have a generous return policy. That's a plus. Sam's does carry a few items Costco does not. I found a half gallon (mind you, NOT the 1.5 qt abominations you see in the grocery stores!!) of Breyer's vanilla ice cream. Costco has ice cream in large containers, but not Breyer's. Sam's large Virginia peanuts are good. A few things like that. But upon next renewal I'm going to suggest to my wife we don't spend the money on it. We're just not getting enough value to justify the membership. We do much better with our Costco membership. For the sake of disclosure I must add that I presently own Costco stock (COST). Not a lot, but I do own the stock. I have no position in Walmart (WMT). read more

Been going here for a while. Tried Costco but prices were the same and it was way to crowded all the time. At sam's today it was busy, but I only waited one minute in line before my items began getting scanned. Overall this location is great, but all Sam's clubs are similar and one knows what to expect. I have been a Sam's member for many years. On 10/20/18 I had the worst experience at the customer service desk. I would rate this experience -10. I was ignored and pushed aside because I asked for a promotion to renew my membership. Can you believe I was told to sit at the picnic table while so they could wait on other people!!!!! It was a very unpleasant experience. I did email the manager and called the corporate office and yet to get a response!!!! I went back on 10/26/18. At this time Jacklyn waited on me. She very professional and all around a very nice person. I would rate this experience a 5++. I have considered staying a member because this was the only time I had a bad experience as Jacklyn more than made up for it BUT i can't forget about the event on 10/20/18 and the fact I have received a response from management. read more

I have both a costco membership and sams club, but have to say I have always preferred Sams Club! They carry virtually the same products and the only thing I really hit Costco for is the dog food because it has received such good reviews. Sams Club is never as busy as costco, so you don't need to fight your way through the gobs of shoppers, this just makes the shopping experience much better. I stay far away from Costco on the weekends for this very reason. Sams Club has a great selection of meats, wines, and the vegetable/ fruits section is great as well! The wait in the check out lines is never long and they always have enough staff to help with whatever your needs may be. They also handle returns without question which is an A+ when it comes to customer service. read more

Joined here a few weeks ago, and so far its great, never busy when i go, use to be a cosco member and never went cause it was always packed. Here you can shop and get around the store and not have people in your way. Staff is friendly and helpfull. And the checkout lines are great so far never had to wait on line. I've been a member for 25 years and decided to try the optical department. Dr Chow is awesome! The support staff are NOT!! Tried to order two pairs of glasses after my exam and ended walking out because I couldn't get an actual price. Note: the price listed in app for progressives is NOT the price you pay evidently. Compared to Costco, this place doesn't even compare. It's depressing, gloomy, everyone moves super slow, and workers seem unhappy. Only reason I have a membership is because of the groupon promo. Even without a line, everything takes forever. Their return process took 20 minutes for one item. No hello, goodbye, or thank yous. I've dealt with kind helpful employees here, but the young girl with big fake eyelashes has a huge attitude problem and clearly doesn't care about her job or the customers in the store. Totally disappointed with their staff. They have declared the covered loading zone their smoke pit. We shop here at least once a month and every time we have been there someone is taking a smoke break while we are loading our car. Yesterday it was 6 employees in total one of them a supervisor of some sort. Not once did they relocate when customers are present. So disappointed they decided to close the club on Arizona instead of this store. We always had a much better shopping experience at our old store. read more

I absolutely love this 'big box' store. The selection is much better than the competition, and when you compare prices by unit (per sq ft, oz, lbs, etc) the prices are unbeatable. Every brand that I normally buy is here, and their own store brand is very competitive in performance to the few brands that aren't represented. Over the last two years, I have purchased everything from a high-end big screen TV, to head phones and paper towels, without having any buyer's remorse. Another great feature they have is the 'Scan and Go' app, which allows you to scan your items as they go into your cart, and check out using your card without having to wait in line! I wish that they had this sort of things when my kids were little! read more

Who can I speak with regarding my call with a 'customer service' rep this morning? We had been mulling over whether or not to close this card &/or membership but, after speaking with her, we've decided to close the card at the very least. I believe her game is Joyce, heavy Philippine accent, but she wouldn't repeat her name. My phone is 951-834-2792. I called at 9:44a on 12/4. I inquired as to why customer svc at my local club (Market St) told me I can't get my cash rewards until august. 'Joyce' said "well they were wrong". I asked when, then, can we redeem the cash OWED to us of over $280. She said Feb 22. I asked what date in February. She sighed heavily as if to let me know I was annoying her. She finally said 2/27/22. I said, "so I have to wait that long to get MY cash &/or to close the card?". Her response- "that's the way it goes". REALLY? That's your idea of service? I asked a few other questions which were met with complete silence. I had to ask if she was still there. "I'm here", she said. Wouldn't answer anything else so I hung up & tried to contact you via computer. Shocking that all I could find was a phone number, or address where I can write to. read more

Ordered a cake for my daughter's first birthday. We had a Moana theme so I asked the lady to put rosette styling. We got the figurines from the Disney store. For a three tier cake, that was super delicious, for only $70.01 it was well worth it and at such an amazing price!!! The cake was so good! I joined Sam's Club again because I wanted another option besides Costco, and I remembered that Sam's Club was never crowded. Now I realize why. Half of the employees are super friendly and helpful. The other half are so rude and annoyed by anything and everything, they ruin the experience. The woman who signed me up was annoyed because I brought in a flyer with a code for a discount membership deal. Not did she give me major attitude, but she set up my account incorrectly and I'm still trying to fix it weeks later. Today I asked another lady on the floor if she could tell me if they had any more shoes like the one pair I found. I said I wanted to find them in another size but I only found the one pair and could not locate where they came from. She rolled her eyes and asked for my card to scan the item. She said, "They are 19.99." I replied that I wasn't asking for the price; I wanted to know if there were any more. She got more annoyed and snapped, "Wasn't there anyone else in the shoes and clothes that could help you?" (Mind you, she was not helping anyone or doing anything when I politely walked up to her to ask for help.) When I said that no, I could not find anyone there, she said there was no way to know if they any more and walked away. I find it very hard to believe that there is truly "no way" to know if they have any more in the store when I had a hang tag on the shoes with all the information on it. But clearly it was too much to ask. If you want to shop in a ghost town with annoyed employees, go to Sam's Club. If you want good customer service and slightly superior brands, go to Costco. read more

They came up the wrong price and I asked if customer service could fix it and he said it was already discounted at .13 off each one.
