Tire dept has always been pretty good. The biggest 2 issues have always been they are understaffed and don't staff the service desk. Today they were very rude and manager blamed it on being overstaffed. Maybe management is the reason? Plenty of other places to buy tires. read more

I am a big fan of Sam's. We joined Costco for a year and I have to say I wish I had stayed with Sam's. Sam's employees are much more happier & helpful when asking for help. That's just what I have noticed. Plus I like the products they carry. I have always enjoyed shopping here to see what's new to try. This location is near one of the Dr offices I go to. One of the closer locations to where I live. Have always enjoyed everything from the meats to the sushi and seafood and so many other items. I did however find out not all Sam's carry the same items which is odd and the prices can be different on some things. Making my list to shop again soon! read more

Sam's club now has 2 exit scanners that check to make sure you paid so when I got to a place where 2 lines were accessible I walked through the scanner. At my Sam's they simply say have a great day and I say the same and leave. Today at this Sam's the employee blocked my cart, ignored me standing there and let 5 people go before moving. I said "both lanes don't work?" She said "you were behind him" and pointed to the man she had just let through. I didn't ask that but it was useless anyway because she ignored me and walked back to the other lane. Her bitchy attitude was not needed as I was bringing food and supplies to her decimated town and it made me feel like maybe I had chosen the wrong town to help. Every time we find something at we actually like, such as the Supreme Pizza they discontinue it. It's not like they weren't selling because every time you go to late in the day they were sold out. Bring it back! So very tired of them always being out of something or discontinuing popular items and having to pay for a membership for this kind of service. My little family group came to this store today. I personally shop here once per week. I see on a regular basis what items are in stock or what things that they are out of. Amazingly to me this Sam's Club is and has been out of food items that aren't affected by the supply chain problem that our country is facing.There are three things that I shop here for and they have been out of stock for awhile! I depend on Sam's to be the place to get what I need! I regret having to mention this but I had to get what I wanted at Costco! Nevertheless; I'm a loyal customer! I mostly like everything else about this place! I've had a membership here for years and will continue to do so! What's confusing to me is that Sam's Club is a part of the Walmart conglomerate and how they are not supplied sufficiently is beyond me! This location is kept very clean and is well organized. It does get super crowded, so do yourself a favor and buy the premier account - it'll get you in earlier to avoid crowds. My wife needed a new battery for her 2013 Mazda 3 and I went to Sam's Club to buy one and have it installed. I had to wait for about 45 minutes to have the battery installed and I was fine with that. However, when I got home and checked the battery I noticed that the 2 clips that hold the battery cover to the battery box were broken off. I called Sam's Club and talked with a service man at the Tire/Battery shop and he talked with the manager and they said they would pay for the replacement of the damaged battery box. This would not have happened if a little more care would have prevented this damage. The Mazda dealer is in Asheville and it is a 45 minute drive each way on a good day, plus most likely about an hours wait time at least. How about my time and gasoline to go back and forth. We had a battery replaced at Sam's 5 years ago in the same car and everything went well. We have 30 days to get the battery box replaced. So, I was not too happy with the service I received at this visit. read more

I really don't like supporting big businesses like this but it is really helpful to have a Sam's membership when you're in the hospitality industry. They have everything you need for large catering lunches. Anything you could need for cleaning houses. Reasonably priced clothes that are actually pretty nice. I also love that I can shop online and buy everything and just go in and pick it up. No browsing or running around a giant store for an hour or so trying to find everything. read more

The Sam's club in Hendersonville, NC. Why can't the gas station have a dedicated diesel island. There are many times the only two diesel pumps have cars for gas at them, and there will be empty gas islands available. My suggestion is to remove the gas pumps from the current island or have a separate island for diesel. Been frustrated ever since the station went up. read more

I have been a member of both Costco (California) and Sam's (NC). If you like to buy certain items bulk (ie paper products, garbage bags, cleaning products) this is cost effective. Same for meats, chicken, and seafood. Nice selection of wine and beer at lower prices vs what is offered in local grocery stores. Seasonal purchases such as clothing, bedding, and outdoor furniture are excellent value. Maybe this is not for everyone; but I am a price conscious buyer and appreciate the value of having a store nearby and have not been disappointed since my first membership in 1985. read more

Sam's Club used to sell truly excellent Ming egg rolls. Recently, a buyer switched to buying Ling Ling Egg Rolls instead (reason unknown). The Ling Ling ones purchased a few days ago taste like absolute crap. In my opinion, the Ling Ling ones taste awful, like some regurgitated dog food! Shame on Sam's purchasing individuals. I've waited to reply. I wanted to use my year membership fully. I switched to Sam's club when I moved here almost a year ago because Costco is not an option. I loved Costco and Sams club does some things right. The actual shopping experience is awesome. Pros- The employees are fantastic people here. High quality, responsive, self aware, really top notch. People I would want to work with/for me/ or for. They are always efficient, and quick to help. On multiple occasions I've had someone approach me at the checkout to take me to another line to get out sooner, or even people talk about quality products they personally enjoy the store sells. The employees are the only reason I give this place 2 stars. It's clean, it's well run, and you feel appreciated. Often leaving with a smile after engaging with small talk from the super friendly receipt checker lady. Cons- Prices are not as good as grocery stores on a lot of things. Some things are competitive, some are not. Selection is low quality. Bags of moldy cheese, bags of frozen chicken falling out of the plastic because everything was made cheaply. Unsustainable. While arguably any big box store is "unsustainable" the seafood selections and a lot of the meats are exceptionally low quality. Without the "best agriculture practices" or seafood stamps that one should look for, or Smithfield's products (the worst) it's mostly stuff that is really something people should avoid. Not a ton of vegan products and often you can't find simple things like tomato sauces without added sugar or so on and so forth. The quality of the grills, patio furniture, furniture, are ok but not exceptional and for the prices lack luster. Read reviews on consumer reports or online reviewing sites and you will see this confirmed for a lot of the members mark products. I will not be renewing my membership this month as the year ends. I do not hate Sam's club, but I feel like it's a waste of money when Walmart or other cheap stores offer the same low quality junk at almost the exact same price. I will miss the short lines, attentive staff, and clean wide isles to walk down. If you hate shopping and crowds and people slamming into you and not apologizing, or rude employees texting and not helping, Sam's club may be the only place you feel you can breath, and for that I could understand going here. Don't buy a mattress here. The quality has gone down. My husband and I bought a Serta here approx. 10 years ago and felt like we really got our money's worth. So about 1 1/2 yrs ago we decided to get a new one. Same brand. Looked and felt well-made. We are about 2 yrs with this thing now and I dread going to bed every night because I know I will wake up with my back hurting. There are "sink holes" where we sleep, and I have to stretch out a pillow in "the hole" to make it level, and we are average size people. Never again. I have a Sam's Club Mastercard Cash Back Rewards card and recently received my cash back summary redeemable for $164.14 + dated 02/08/2019. After 2 round trips from Brevard, N.C. to the Hendersonville Sam's I have yet to receive my cash rewards? My membership is valid until 04/01/2019 [member since 1991] and I presented my rewards letter; Sam's Club Mastercard + picture ID [N.C. driver license]. The ladies at the customer service desk called Synchrony Bank and they were told that the funds were loaded on the card by their bank. Denied again on 1st trip and denied again on 2nd trip? I live on the coast of South Carolina and had traveled to the Sam's Club in Hendersonville to take my 102 year old Mother in for new eye glasses. The associate in the optical center was great. After the purchase I found my car battery was dead. I thought how fortunate I was to be here since batteries are a good deal at Sam's and Costco. I explained I needed to get my 102 year old Mother back to assisted living. The tire store manager said it would be a 2 hour wait to have the battery installed. When I asked if he had a jump start box he said no I would have to buy one. Rather than call AAA, I purchased the jump starter for 90.00+. I drove to an auto parts store and I had a new battery in in less than 10 minutes. I really don't Know if the employee did anything wrong by his customer service but I can't find anything right with it either. Take pictures of all prices of the items you are buying. You are being overcharged at check-out. I got charged over a dollar for just one item and I only bought six different items that day. The only reason I checked the computer screen at the self-checkout at all was because the lady in the next self-check-out said,"They over charged me for (such and such)." So I checked my items and could remember one bag of produce was more expensive than what the sign said on the display.Told the young male manager there and he said he 'never says anything when he gets overcharged', he just figures 'oh, well'. I told him it's false advertising and he said it's not. I told a friend what happened and the very next time she went to the Hendersonville NC store she was overcharged for vitamins! Money may not matter to the smart alec manager, but it matters to me. Think of the money Sam's Hendersonville NC is raking in overcharging their customers. What great customer service skills this young smart alec male manger has. Making the customer feel bad for speaking up about getting ripped off. The store is located right beside WalMart. Several times I've shopped at WalMart first, then went over to Sam's only to find the same items more expensive at Sam's! End-up returning to WalMart again to buy the item. As far as the cleanliness, employee attitude, etc this Sam's is good. I like their pizza & drink deal personally. Their shopping carts are huge, and can be annoying if only needing a few items. Two size choices for buggies would be nice. They have about 12 checkout lanes, but usually only about 5 are open, causing a wait almost every time. They only accept Discover credit cards, debit cards & cash. I like using my cash back rewards VISA, but they don't accept it. Luckily, my company gives us employee's a free Sam's membership, otherwise I definitely would NOT be a member. After all, who wants to buy 5-gallons of mayonnaise or a case of beans all at once? You might save a few cents off each can, but not much... read more
