My G/F and I have been members for several years.When we first started going there they had a lot of great stuff.These last few months they've stopped carrying some of the things we got accustomed to buying. About two months ago they put up these structures you walk through to leave. I was told they're to scan you.It gave me the feeling that "Big Brother" is watching you. This week out of eight or so possible check outs available they had two open. I asked the cashier if they were down on personnel. It turns out that the "Corporation" deemed it that only two cashiers will be open.We were part of a long line. There are about four self -checkouts but I don't like them as It gives me the feeling that they don't want to bother with me as a person,they just want my money. My membership is coming up for renewal this December and I highly doubt I'll be renewing it. read more

The only reason I continue to pay the membership fee and shop here is because there are no other options around here. I've been to other Sam's Club locations in other cities and states, as well as their competitors like Costco, and it's the worst store I've been to, in terms of quality and variety of merchandise and stock. It's also the only store which never, ever opens on time for Plus members' early shopping hours and have rude, immature and unprofessional staff. read more

Parking Stinks, never any handicap spaces open, my go to items like cases of water are never in the same place and the over all layout of the place keeps changing, they never have cases of my favorite Diet Dr. Pepper but have it as a fountain drink at food court. We always have to wait sometimes even an hour for a Handicap scooter if they are even charge red enough to do one lap around the store. They took out the food court seating instead of spacing them out. They also have to many self check outs. If they are not going to hire cashiers to do it for me I want a flat 10% discount for doing it myself as Sams is saving the money on Payroll wages, Payroll taxes, Health Benefits for employees and 401k contributions and show me the discount on my receipts instead of saying the prices of items have been kept down in the prices They get one star for having a clean bathroom. read more

My mom ordered tires here and they claimed they contacted her when they were in and they didn't. When we came to pick them up, the guy was more focused on another employee and took about 10 minutes just to get us our tires that were literally on the shelf right near him. They sell great food items, and they also have a little food court area with great prices. read more

I was lost in this supermarket for a little while trying to find instant coffee mix. A boy approached me and voiced, "Ma'am, do you need any help finding something?" We gazed into each others eyes for several seconds, and I asked him where I could find the coffee. He asked what kind, I said French roast. He told me to wait there, and I did. He arrived with the coffee, and I took it from him with a thanks and departed. A week later, we met again. We both knew how eachother felt, an perfect connection. He asked me out for dinner, and of course I accepted. It's seven years later and we are happily married with 4 children. I love Sam's Club! read more

Changes. Quickly found everything I was looking for. Went to check-out, only 1 register open with a line forming. There were 2 associates at that register, 1 to unload my cart and 1 to ring. I can unload my own cart, you should open another register as fast check-out is important to most shoppers. There were several associates talking to each other and the 2 I spoke with seemed un-interested in assisting me. I've been in retail 35 years and know what customers want. I know what customers see. Please make some changes to better facilitate the consumer and their experience. read more

What happened to this store?!?! Waited 20 minutes and asked 3 people about getting a forklift to get a product from an upper shelf. No one ever showed up. Told one of the people that I asked for help previously and they could only say "sorry". Not "oh, let me see what I can do" or anything like that. Also, the garbage can at the entrance door was overflowing and all over the ground despite employees coming in and out to get carts. Obviously there is no one going around looking at the store and merchandise in the isles. I had to dig my way into a pallet of paper plates to get to a package that wasn't open and spilled all over. And what's up with rearranging the entire store all of the time. Just as soon as you get used to the current setup and can quickly find what you need, they rearrange the store. I'm sure that someone in upper management came up with that awesome idea to get people to walk around the entire store. All it really does is anger those of us that shop there. It's nice to be able to get in, get what you need, and get out. Not spend the day looking for what you need. Starting to reconsider my $100 per year membership. read more

If you don't spend enough at Sams to generate a substantial amount via the rewards from the Plus membership card....DO NOT GET IT. They will always tell you that if you don't get as much in rewards to equal at least the value of the upgrade they will refund the upgrade in full.....this is a LIE. After being assured by a manager that this was the case I upgraded and just as I thought I didn't generate enough rewards to make the upgrade worth it.....of course all the excuses and loop holes came out when I asked for my money back. The associates will lie through there teeth to get you to upgrade but don't fall for it. Unlike COSTCO who actually will give you your money back no questions asked if your not happy with your member ship, Sams will BS you all day. Costco needs to open up shop in Kingston!!! read more

I don't tend to go into this store, unless they have a no-membership fee required day. I don't populate wholesale stores that much, as I don't buy all that much stuff in bulk due to space in my house. however, when I went into this Sam's Club the other day (when they had their no-frills no-membership fee day), I was amazed at what I had been missing all along. They got everything and more of what Wal-Marts has, but if you don't buy things in bulk, it won't impress many. The aisles might be clean and tidy, but the prices tend to wrack up problems for most. I'll populate my Wal-Mart, still, being they don't have a membership fee just yet. But, until Sam's Club drops their membership fees for all, I'll continue to only go when the days only have all membership fees dropped. read more

I am especially happy with the tire department at the store. I was sold a set of tires for my Jeep and had them installed balanced and lug nut twerk to the proper spec, all within 1 hour and at a price much cheaper than any of the other tire stores. Hi, I am not the only one having these issues with the local Sam's Club in Kingston, NY. I have made Sixteen (16) Trips in the past year to file my Tax Exempt Form at the local Sam's Club in Kingston, NY. After the first Twelve (12) trips, despite being VERY POLITE AND NICE to whoever I was talking to ... they failed to get my Tax Exempt on file at the store. When I politely mentioned the fact that this was my 12th trip in one year and that each trip was a One (1) hour round trip, I received a lot of really uncalled for toxic, nasty attitude from Sam's Club Female Employees. When I told them the promises made to get this filed in the past ... the response was having the employees yell and bark at me stating: "I KNOW HOW TO DO MY JOB!" Apparently, this is not true. So, I go back in after I let my Sam's Club Membership Expire because I could really use a Sam's Club Membership for my business. The employee renewed my SAM'S PLUS Membership for $48.00 with a PROMISE to get my Tax Exempt filed this time around. When I went to pay, I said: "Really? It cost more last time. Is that all it is for a Sam's Club Business Plus Membership?" I was told: "Yes" Well, I called Sam's Club Customer Service Line today to try an get my Tax Exempt filed through the corporate office. I found out that I do NOT have a Sam's Club Membership. Yet another case for the local store employees being Lazy, Carless, Apathetic, Improperly Trained or Simply Incompetent ... or all of the above. I was also told I cannot upgrade my membership on the phone, also with attitude after I told them my story, so it must be a Sam's Club Corporate Culture & Management Issue. Now I have to make yet another One (1) Hour Trip to the local Sam's Club in Kingston, NY and pray that they will get it right and do it without yelling &barking at me because I am disrupting their day and asking them to do their job. So, after they PROMISED that my TexExempt would be filed ... and after Four (4) more One (1) Hour Trips and One (1) Phone Call since March 20th of 2017 ... and it still is not filed. In addition, I got the same treatment with female employees yelling and barking at me stating: "I KNOW HOW TO DO MY JOB!" So, I finally sent my Tax Exempt to Corporate in the hopes they will file it for me. I wish I had a COSTCO near me. They offer a far better customer experience and overall a better deal if you use them on a regular basis. read more

I honestly don't even want to give Sam's club any stars. I am honestly so hurt and upset by the company. My husband and I recently married in September. We ordered flowers in bulk to be delivered to our house. Everything went through. We paid online and we spoke to an associate about having the flowers sent to our house on a Tuesday and Wednesday. When the Tuesday came and we did not receive anything we called Sam's club wondering why we had not received the flowers. The associate was very unprofessional and rude saying it was our fault and that we never made any payment. We argued because we had emails stating that our money went through and the flowers were already paid for. We asked to speak to the manager who was also very nasty and not nice to us either. Our wedding was the following week. So we ended up having to go through Adams which instead of paying $350 we ended up having to pay $700. We spoke to Sam's Club corporate headquarters they apologized for the horrible experience we went through and sent us an e card for $25. -_____- They also said they would re-train their staff to do better. Honestly if your manager speaks to people the way I was spoken to they should be fired. And the fact that I had to pay double for flowers because they didn't do their part and they only sent us a e card for $25. I will never be going back to Sam's Club. read more

I am a member and every time I am harassed about joining their "new" rewards program. I don't understand why they can't ask once and then make a note on their system that I am definitely not interested! The cashiers paint this new program as saving me hundreds of dollars, I thought that was the premise of a wholesale club in the first place?I sure wish another business would come to town to compete with them! read more

We go here to get deals on bulk supplies, but I find myself more and more annoyed at the bewildering and always changing programs and credit cards. It's hard to keep up with these offers, and it seems that often the employees are unable to explain them clearly. We were purchasing for a non-profit, and received incorrect information from the manager about tax exemption for our purchase. They need to do better in regards to customer service.
